The first time I played Tag Tournament and seen these stages for the first time, I had NO CLUE that these stages were actually locations straight out of Tekken 3! See, while the graphics in the arcade version of Tag remained almost unchanged from when 3 first came out, the PS2 version is basically Namco taking what is already the greatest Tekken game of all time and making it GODLIKE with the use of newer hardware. If anything, I think the existence of Tag was probably in response to the complaints that fans regarding the Tekken 3 roster as damn near everyone that was in 2 was gone(because we didn't realize that Tekken 3 takes place almost a decade later). A lot of fans cried foul when Kazuya Mishima was nowhere to be found either(and we already know why), so Namco was like "Alright, you want Tekken 2 characters in Tekken 3? If you insist!"
Awesome video! Although, I wish you could have shown more of the Unknown stage. It always creeped me out back then so I couldn't really focus on figuring out what that stage was. Is it a cemetery? A ritual ground?
I'm still wondering how they made these scrolling backgrounds. Like I get that in the PS1 era they used different layers of several pictures and just slapped it in the background. But this one still confuses me
Yes there was some various settings for some of the stages. Take Jin stage as an example, A is his Tekken 3 stage, but the vers B is his TAG Arcade vers stage!
Which is the most memorable stage for you TTT?
@@anggadaffauttpthdtc3222 Cool!!
Ogre's theme

In terms of aesthetics, Tekken 4 wins by miles
The music in this game was insane.
Yes it was pretty good and a unique soundtrack!

Playing this game throughout wintertime 23 years ago was unforgettable.
My jaw dropped back then when i saw a demo with Nina fighting Julia at the Forest-Level with the falling snow. It looked so impressive.
This is my favorite video on TH-cam
Oh wow, thanks man!!
THE TEKKEN TAG 1 SNOW STAGE IS MY FAVOURITE TEKKEN STAGE OF ALL TIME!!!
No eyes, no ears,
no nose, no tongue,
no body, no mind.
@@RisingUppercut No shape
No shape.
The stages in this game that I love the most are the Skyring and Laboratory Courtyard.
Awesome video! You even added the correct stage names like "Tigers Dojo Tokyo" etc.
Thanks man!
Aah so many good memories with this game 💕
Taekwondo Dojo, Hong Kong Street, Forest, and Unknown's stage are my favorite stages
Great, I also feel that the stages in TTT had more atmosphere to them
wow incredible creation ,, is actual competent
Awesome video! My most favourites are Lei Stage (China), Ogre Stage and Nina stage (Lab Courtyard). Tekken Tag is the greatest title ever! 💙💙👍🏻👍🏻
Lei stage is in hong kong.
ওওওওওওওওও আচ্ছা 🤓
@@nervshmrv1245I think Hong Kong is from China
I would love to see a making of Tekken tag video. This game & the stages are god tier
Thanks for this video. 👍👍👍

7:47 Tekken 8 secluded training ground wow!!! And it's part of vermilion gates to when smashes the doors 😍
I seriously can't believe they pulled this stuff off on PS2 hardware especially with the Mishima dojo stage
I'm still wondering how they made these scrolling backgrounds. Like I get that in the PS1 era they used different layers of several pictures and just slapped it in the background. But this one still confuses me
It looks tied to the camera
My favorite was the King stage
Nothing more epic than a floating or skyhigh wrestling ring!
I didn't know the game had 20 stages.
For real?
Unknown's stage looks like a cathedral or a church.
I never understood how did they maje them infinite yet the background is always there
This was an effect where the characters moved the floor was moving with them and everything else just stood still!
Carnival, best stage, best music. Change my mind.
Nina A and B along with Ogre’s
What was version A and version B
Yes there was some various settings for some of the stages. Take Jin stage as an example, A is his Tekken 3 stage, but the vers B is his TAG Arcade vers stage!
1:05! Kuma T ogre he needs to be in Tekken 8!
1:09 so badass
All this time, I thought Nina's stage was an oil-rig, not a laboratory.
Where is the Beach Eddie Stage? Like in this video: th-cam.com/video/wV310gpn6zw/w-d-xo.html
Either you refer to the Tekken 4 beach stage it was not in this game, but Eddy's stage came in 2 parts followed from 3:15 in this video
@@RisingUppercut Yeah i was talking about Tekken Tag eddy stage there's another form, with beach sand right?
@@FantasyNero not in tekken tag
@@RisingUppercut ah i see too bad all previous Tekken games not on PC, but at least you can use emulator to play them at 4K resolution or higher
Never understood if Unknown stage is a roman church/temple and if it actually exists...
Próxima mente . Tekken hybrid.
Tekken 8 needs to take notes, less weird unfitting stages like Mishima Building and Violet's Factory
Hope they bring back some old school elements at least!
