This is just a lovely cabinet made beautiful and unique! I love things on tall legs❤️ My favorite are the hand painted flowers🥰 and the color combination! Awesome job❤️❤️❤️
I really like the addition of the chicken wire and the rusting up of the metal. It’s very cottage core and so cute! The inside painting with the doodle (sp?) flowers looks perfect with the character of the piece. ❤❤❤❤❤
When my hubby and I moved into our 260+ year old farmhouse in the country, we found several "distressed" pieces waiting for us. I was able to see what a truly aged piece of furniture looked like. Unfortunately, due to humidity and other moisture, everything was completely rotted and unsalvageable. It's nice to see a worn-looking piece that isn't going to crumble.
Just AWESOME! Lel That’s right up my alley this piece ❤❤ IT ! And Boy OH BOY ! The flowers look Stunning! Fantastic piece . Ide have it in my kitchen for sure . Thanx again Lel take care and have an awesome day 🤗
Well I had to think what to do with the door I like a chicken wire door. I quite often do that if there's a problem Marty can't fix. Then give him the problem to fit the wire ha ha ha
Yes I agree! do you think anyone would want to see me painting flowers onto fabric on a chair? I'm really glad you took the time to comment and you enjoyed the video. Thanks so much ❤️ Lel
@@MadebyMarley I would. There are companies that take artwork and print it by the yard for people to buy. Your artwork on this furniture would make a great print for people to use making curtains, upholstered chairs, tote bags. So unique!
Another gem! I’m hoping that if I watch y.ou enough, I’ll get the confidence to do something daring! So far, I’ve only ever painted furniture in solid colour. But we’re going to move house soon and I’m wanting to repaint my bedroom furniture and decorate it so that it’s not a solid colour. I quite fancy decoupage Kf some sort. I have done decoupage on small things but really fancy doing something bigger. Hoping for confidence by osmosis!
Hi Barbara yes I have just been talking to you and you have been incredibly kind about my work...thank you so much for subscribing it's a hard slog trying to get anywhere in TH-cam...ha ha ....❤️❤️❤️ Much love from Scotland
Love that green you mixed. Do you reckon...or maybe Martin knows...if there would be a glue you could use to fix the glass. I was thinking then you could go over it with paint and transfers to hide it. Would that be a bit dangerous???
I have a fixed glass and if you have watched the IOD le Chas cuboard you see I fixed it but it's still there as I left it to added a little age. We have fixed glass with a two part industrial epoxy which with the gel part we ran down both sides of the crack and then used part two and sprayed it across the crack onto the gel. ..it hardens very smooth and yes I have painted glass ..ha ha Linda I have painted everything. I have a bit of a chicken wire fetish at the moment and keep trying to put it into pieces...Marty maybe not so much as it's a total faff and a hassle to put it into doors.. I have to sweet talk him X 😂 Lel x ❤️❤️❤️❤️
It was bullet proof although it was not in the middle it was off to the side ...I guess if it was in the middle I probably wouldn't resale it as I couldn't 100% guarantee. However the crack we fixed was bullet proof ....just go with caution if in doubt replace with wooden panels. Or 🐔wire... X ❤️
I usually love everything that you do but I could not stand y'all breaking that glass why didn't you just remove it and save it for another project here in the states to replace that glass like that would cost so much money I'm still a fan Sue from Texas
I broke the glass because if you knew how much glass I have saved I have piles of it and I'm so glad your such a fan. I think over all we save so many things that in this project I didn't feel it was an issue 🤣
You are so right you can't save everything I love you your talent is incredible I love the way you say the word "here" keep going cuz that is totally me I am so boho

You can do it I promise, just take your time. Practice on a board if your unsure. And just have fun see where it takes you x

Another awesome creation. 💞. What is the hessian u glued on inside of doors … over sharp edges of chicken wire? Luv rustic chicken wire addition!!!
It was a hesduan Kinning used for curtain pelmets but I've had it years and tears... A thick hessian will work... Or some strips of wood x
