One of your best discussions - lots of good analysis and common sense from you both. The incredible run of results from November to mid February last season saved Naismith, despite it often being from dull football. This season, it's hard to see where our next goal is coming from, far less a win. The only way I see things turning round in the short term is if Shankland finds his mojo again.
It's quite unbelievable we didn't bring another striker in during the window. St Mirren took Van Veen on loan. Surely we could have secured him or a similar type of player?
It’s a shambles. I’m sick of saying this. You get what you pay for. The players haven’t a clue what their jobs are from game to game, players need guidance from the manager and coaches. I’m absolutely sick fed up of fans having the same conversations every year because the board can’t run what is actually the whole foundation of the club, the first team.
Like Scott says it all comes back to the manager feet, the leader of the football club, too many changes to first XI every week and trying players in different positions, square pegs in round holes yet again, it's like groundhog day and instead of Neilson you have got Naismith. Like others have said I am fed up watching this crap, have seen this movie a thousand times over, The board have alot to answer for, that's 3 rookie managers who have had no previous experience in the last 10 years, Cathro,Neilson and Naismith. When are we going to learn that promoting managers who have managed a youth team for a few weeks to the first team is fecking hindering the football club and holding us back. Next time pony up the money and go out and get a proper manager. It's a shambles how we are run 🤬
It's just comedy now. We need a fresh set of goggles managing our team. Listening to Naismith, I can't help but notice he's defeated. We are so toothless it's embarrassing. It's early in the season so we need to act NOW
The team are trying to play an English style of football in the Scottish league - lots of all in 6 aside training matches would build more confidence during actual games
