10:15 - the main thing about ship coating, if memory serves, is it only works in the vicinity of the Shabaody Archipelago / the Red Line. Every location it's seen use outside Shabaody was relatively close to it (Fishman island, Marineford). I think the point of Ethan trying to detect the living voices is to try and distinguish them from the recorded voice of Vegapunk. He was trying to determine where the broadcast snail was hidden by narrowing out every voice that was coming from living beings.
Remember that the reason law was able to reattach his arm was through the help of Leo’s stitching power and Monsherrie’s healing power. Because it was sliced off through normal means and not his op-op powers he couldn’t do anything to fix it. So without the Tontatta’s there was no way to heal Kiki’s arm
My theory about the war: The ancient kingdom used the "Motherflame" for everything (maybe even creating DFs, the swirly pattern seems similar). Turns out it raises the sea level (Vegapunk found out when using it for power). The other kingdoms (later WG) weren't too happy about drowning for progress, so they attacked. Joy Boy fought for the ancient kingdom, his home (at first). Later, he deserted(with others), formed his own faction and tried to stop the war by "stealing" the ancient weapons. But he was betrayed and failed, and Imu+5 elders (which are possibly ancient kingdom members/nobles) got control of the third weapon. They offered the 20 kings and queens peace and safety in "paradise", but their kingdoms would be kept weak and isolated using harsh taxes.
I have a feeing the ancient weapon doesn’t just destroy land masses, but it converts them to water. That’s why the water has properties of the sea prism stone and prevents devil fruit users from swimming as the sea prism stone was part of the original land mass and was converted to this new water.
10:23 to be fair when it comes to coating technology you are pretty much bound to the whims of the currents. It’s usually one way trips with little ability to explore outside. I think vander Deckens ship being crewed by fishman were the sole exception which made them notorious.
Zunesha’s punishment was most likely given to them by the World Government in an effort to reduce what remains of the ancient cities to absolute nothing. Cuz you gotta remember, Zunesha is a colossal elephant with REALLY long legs, constantly walking the sea floor.
Uh, isn't it the opposite? He impersonated Luffy whose infamy was at its highest, people just didn't know where he was, so Demaro Black took that chance to pose as him and use his influence. Like, if that was just the rate at which it rises, you'd be able to notice even as a child. If it happened suddenly, parents would tell their kids. It's especially insane to think he's talking about an ongoing phenomenon because everything has been about the Void Century and how it was caused by the use of the weapon they only just regained via the mother flame. I remember there being an entrance to Imple Down from under the water, I double checked and in episode 423/chapter 526 we see the "bluegori" hunt fish and bring them back through this underwater entrance, which could either mean that the prison might have been built this way anticipating the flooding, or that this was a normal entrance that was re-constructed to be an under water hatch thingy.

10:12 well you have to remember coating is not cheap and is not safe, as well as not easily available. Remember how we were told that most ships that go with coating are going to sink, either due to poor quality coating or if a sea creature burtst the bubble. I don't think anyone is coating their ships just to explore the sea floor considering the cost, the dangers and that if they don't know they really don't have much of a reason to investigate the sea floor, unless they are a geologist or marine biologist or something.
I suspect the person who's imagination/wish gave rise to Señor Pink's Devil Fruit might have been someone who suffered from hydrophobia. They were terrified of water, but they wanted to swim, so a fruit was created that lets them swim without water, despite it technically making all land functionally the same as water to the user, at least before they are the fruit. That feels like something Oda might come up with IMO. Gives off the same vibes as Vegapunk discarding Momonosuke's artificial DF as a failure due to the color.
The animation of fujitora floating onigashima gave me the great idea of if he has a change of allegiance (let’s face it he’s already practically there) and uncovers an island or two or thousand from below the sea level. Imagine how hard a full page illustration of him raising the ark from fishman island would go.
Nusjuro has to sense the voices before he slashes Bonney too, is it possible that Nusjuro when he attacks is blind for a moment, or maybe he's secretly a blind swordsman like Fujitora. Maybe the Gorosei rely more on sense than sight in their monster forms.
Jinbe’s cover story makes a whole lot more sense. Frankly, it was weird that there were perfectly intact human ruins at the bottom of the sea (with a poneglyph, too)
I feel like Oda has made it clear that when others are perceived with haki, they call it voices. Like Law and Kid mentioning Luffy's voice being gone in Wano for example
Maybe big things in Paradise. But let's be real he wouldn't last in the New World when any scrub with basic knowledge of Armament Haki would be able to touch him no problem.
The one and only thing I don't understand ( besides just going "it's anime" ) is that with such a massive hole left after each use of the ancient weapon, how does a bunch of giant hole in the ocean equal sea levels rising...??
We also know that the tree of knowledge was planted 5000 years ago, and that Shandora was built 1100 years ago by the shandians. So we do have knowledge of quite a few bits of pre-void century history (mostly architecture though) which is probably why the void century having literally nothing is so noticeable to scholars like those of ohara
Demaro Black is the owner of the Delu-Delu fruit. This gives its user the ability to concentrate a delusional fantasy as a reality to a select number of people within the range of the user. Whatever the user decides as a reality, the limited number of people share in the delusion.
After rewatching the anime recently, I noticed that the water level on little garden changed during the period time when dorry and broggy were fighting.....
First time (I think) my comment was chosen for these. Cool! I think coating can only be done at sabaody so it really limits it's applications of exploring the sea.
Head cannon: Demarro Black has a lie lie fruit which makes a handful of his closest companions fully believe in anything he says whole heartedly, which is why they’re all maintaining character still
Vegapunk said water level rised 200 metters during the century, but he never said its stopped raising afterward, so 800 years later it might all be even deeper.
The more I think about it. I can see Laugh Tale being under water and that's the reason you can't find it. But the road poneglyph were made so you can always find it.

By god I'm still processing the amount of damage a see rise of 200 meters in the spam of a hundred years would do to a world, and trying to imagine how we would fare in this situation
3:00 What if it was actually in the East Blue? It suffered the most damage, hence over the years it became the weakest laughing stock of a sea, but it still somehow managed to become the birthplace of both Roger and Luffy.
if God Enel shows up in anyway ill be so happy i may cry hes literally my favorite antagonistic character bc he has so much around him my all time favorite scene is when luffy screams let the sun shine while breaking up the cloud only for us to learn he the sun god Nikas it gives me chills every time
I like how the rising sea level is connected to the use of the ancient weapon in light of vegapunk's reveal, because it means that the world was likely so devestated during the void century by said weapons and the war that used them, that it goes a long way towards explaining how the rapid rise in sea level wasn't discovered by the public- the targets of said weapons would likely have been the sort of cities which would have lead somone to the truth if so many had been found under the ocean. Tying the rise of the ocean with the weapons and the war means that enough destruction MUST have happend to make it reasonable that noone found enough evidence to realize the rapid change in the world- plus the world government likely has a vested interest in hiding such information because they have and will use said weapon, on top of whatever other secrets will be revealed.
I hope we see the rest of the East Blue villains (Morgan, Kuro, Krieg and Arlong) reacting to Vegapunk's message. Because it's a good opportunity to finally bring them back, and if Foxy gets remembered and they don't, it's just kind of sad for them.

What if the reason the red line is so tall is because it is the sides of the holes that were made by the ancient weapon.
3:15 Oda's trying to be like Charlie from Always Sunny In Philadelphia
0:38 Rick I see you there. Maybe you are the master mind behind all of this
I wonder if the Fake Kidd Crew will cosplay as the Blackbeard Pirates
fake luffy got the delusion delusion fruit.
And it's awakened too💀💀
Him: "Enel..."
Me: "Northernlion??"
Nusjuro has to sense the voices before he slashes Bonney too, is it possible that Nusjuro when he attacks is blind for a moment, or maybe he's secretly a blind swordsman like Fujitora. Maybe the Gorosei rely more on sense than sight in their monster forms.
Man I love these new developments, the world building of One Piece is sooooooo cool!!
I think you should do Roxy’s antagonist video next. People need to know about the man, the myth, the legend and his rise to greatness.
I just want to shoutout some appreciation to the editor(s) really create a nice vibe to the video
Jinbe’s cover story makes a whole lot more sense. Frankly, it was weird that there were perfectly intact human ruins at the bottom of the sea (with a poneglyph, too)
The Marine revelation has real "Are we the bad guys?" energy., lol
I feel like Oda has made it clear that when others are perceived with haki, they call it voices. Like Law and Kid mentioning Luffy's voice being gone in Wano for example
I just love that Enel flew to the moon over half the series back, and we're all *POSITIVE* he's coming back to do Big Things.
Maybe big things in Paradise. But let's be real he wouldn't last in the New World when any scrub with basic knowledge of Armament Haki would be able to touch him no problem.
If I had to pick one person who I would like to see as a cameo, it would have to be that Swords salesman in Loguetown.
3:29 how could you forget Zunesha 😢
Could the World Government be plotting to submerge the Poneglyphs underwater as a means to end the Great Pirate Era?
I love that you made Vegapunk look like a twitch streamer
Grandline delivered with this video
He definitely has the voice, he directly quotes “voices” like Zoro vs das bones
The one and only thing I don't understand ( besides just going "it's anime" ) is that with such a massive hole left after each use of the ancient weapon, how does a bunch of giant hole in the ocean equal sea levels rising...??
Not the whole but an island sinking
Surprised cricket didnt get a cameo seeing hes all about searching for a lost city underwater
11:31 I actually wonder if the swim swim fruit was born from a devil fruit user who wanted to swim again.
Demaro Black is the owner of the Delu-Delu fruit. This gives its user the ability to concentrate a delusional fantasy as a reality to a select number of people within the range of the user.
Whatever the user decides as a reality, the limited number of people share in the delusion.
That would be awesome
Tontatta remembering about beeing slave for the doflamingo but forgot about living on a continent, amazing
After rewatching the anime recently, I noticed that the water level on little garden changed during the period time when dorry and broggy were fighting.....
Will the Poneglyphs be submerged underwater, ending the Great Pirate Era? Is that what the World government is trying to accomplish?
Mr.4 giving mad Chuck Noris from the ultimate showdown of ultimate destiny vibes
Bro dragon could just ambush marijois the only obstacle is an old frigerland garling
First time (I think) my comment was chosen for these. Cool!
I think coating can only be done at sabaody so it really limits it's applications of exploring the sea.
the little chibi robin animations are adorable
10:10 We saw in fishman island that people don’t usually survive the trip there
Head cannon: Demarro Black has a lie lie fruit which makes a handful of his closest companions fully believe in anything he says whole heartedly, which is why they’re all maintaining character still
I'm sure Enel has got this news, assuming snails work over an electrical signal as their "telepathy".
Is laugh tail the showed in the chapter?
I meant the original world under water!
Vegapunk said water level rised 200 metters during the century, but he never said its stopped raising afterward, so 800 years later it might all be even deeper.
The more I think about it. I can see Laugh Tale being under water and that's the reason you can't find it. But the road poneglyph were made so you can always find it.
Thanks to Cyberpunk every time i hear Joyboy my brain goes to "Joytoy", thanks for feeding my brainrot even more :D
(edited because i wrote evretim insead of every time)
By god I'm still processing the amount of damage a see rise of 200 meters in the spam of a hundred years would do to a world, and trying to imagine how we would fare in this situation
those prisoners who are shaped like Kuma but shorter with the ball and chain weapon during ennies lobby arc could be buccaneers
The translation I've read said Joyball and it killed me😂.
Whoever had Mr Croc's sand sand DF back when the world got flooded took that flooding every personal 🤣
3:00 What if it was actually in the East Blue? It suffered the most damage, hence over the years it became the weakest laughing stock of a sea, but it still somehow managed to become the birthplace of both Roger and Luffy.
if God Enel shows up in anyway ill be so happy i may cry hes literally my favorite antagonistic character bc he has so much around him my all time favorite scene is when luffy screams let the sun shine while breaking up the cloud only for us to learn he the sun god Nikas it gives me chills every time
3:29 what about zou?
That big ass elephant would know about the rise in sea level
4:11 this is exactly who I thought. I assumed he just stays on this island
thank you milord liam for another glorious adventure down the rabbit hole.
I hope we see the rest of the East Blue villains (Morgan, Kuro, Krieg and Arlong) reacting to Vegapunk's message. Because it's a good opportunity to finally bring them back, and if Foxy gets remembered and they don't, it's just kind of sad for them.
