It's less about college and more about skills. People these days are either not employable or not affordable. My organisation's HR is finding some good sales person and UI/UX people for past 4 months, and have processed only 3 people to second round, we get more than 100 applications on each job post, but there are rarely people read about the JD or skills required.

I am from NIT bhopal cse 2024 batch , and i can verify this videos is 100% true , idk about job market declining from 2010 but it has dropped majorly after 2023 , recession has hit us bad , like real bad . Our senior has 3-4 offers each , from good and stable companies and good offers while 2024 batch was punished with all the major and good companies backing off , engineering is going down bad , colleges do need to focus on skillset of students rather then marks and gpa

There is problem everywhere,but it depends on individual how to deal them or quit in middle
this time, nearly 16 lakh(1.6 million) students in total had appeared for jee(s1 + s2). And it is expected to rise even higher next year. My biggest concern is that when i went to college 2 years ago as a first year.(it was a NIT and i had taken up CS) I had initially thought i was about to find peers with some enthusiasm, experience in computers, i had thought i was gonna have really cool friends. But majority of students in the course had hardly any knowledge in cs. When i asked "cs kyu liya?" they usually answered along the lines of either that it was a good course in a good college or because there was a lot of money in it. nearly half of them didnt even have any idea of the syllabus in this course before they had arrived there(Every government college has openly published their course structure). They were smart no doubt about it, its not easy to get into a NIT. But solving mcqs wont make you valuable in the industry. I understand building a good core is important but if thats all people limit themselves to , then nothing can be done to help it. In a field like CS, AI or MAC where the industry/environment changes extremely fast, being lost or having no motivation or interest can be the death of someone's career.

we are so behind in terms of tech, programming is a mainstream thing now. companies are trying to automate everything and cost cut, because they don't want to spend money behind employees, in the period of recession investors have lost a ton of money so to keep their bank balance full they are hiring less and at a cheaper rate. Sometimes it feels like there is nothing that we can trust anymore.
