Regarding 7:20, I'm actually not sure if he _can_ get the best ending anymore. You need 50%-90%-50% of document photos across the three acts, _specific documents_ (Walter's Tape was one of them, but I don't remember if he actually _took a photo of the crashed train in the SNW Bunker,_ and that IS one of the specific ones... the bodies are another, but I definitely remember that photo)... and you also have to get 50%-90%-50% of _structural damage_ photos (that or it's 50% in every act, unsure and the steam guides are a bit conflicting), and he's definitely missed a LOT of structural photos in Act 2. Geocaches are the _only_ thing that do not contribute to completion percentage whatsoever. There's also two tiers of the good ending. If he's able to get into the secret area at the end of Chapter 10, he's met the requirements for the Good Ending in general (unless he then takes too long and [REDACTED] happens, which overrides everything regardless of completion percentage). But there's also an email you get in the ending, which can either be "nice job finding all this, but something's missing..." (if you _only_ got enough for the Good Ending) or "you got all we need, want a job with us?" which requires 90% of corruption AND structural photos in _all three_ acts. I recently did a "everything you can find by naturally playing, without specifically following a walkthrough" replay, and that only got the "good job but something's missing" email. You gotta find _nearly everything_ for the best version of the ending, a single missed rebar photo could be enough to bring you under the percentage threshold required for that.
Anyone else notice how the green mushroom patches in the hideout are shaped like if two people had laid down on the ground holding hands, with one placed exactly where someone would have fallen from that wheelchair? There's even a hat right next to the "head" of the other silhouette.

I think Robin wasn't talking about his boat having a hole in it, but his boot. Remember the boot with a screwdriver in it? I think he was trying to fix it...
Infra is like a HALF-LIFE game, not because of the engine, but because you are just a guy trying to get back into safety but your only route forward continually takes you deeper and deeper into the depths, like how the only route through black mesa just takes you deeper into the facility. It makes these moments where you finally see daylight peaking through a dim damp cave and make it to the surface all the more impactful. You can feel the fresh air running across your skin as you nearly reconnect with humanity. But even then, there's often a locked door or fence that makes that moment fleeting, and you must delve back into the depths yet again... Also, you can actually pull out the pause menu phone to see if the area you are in has signal or not. Each map has an entity that sets the phone signal strength. It will say no signal in caves, for instance. In this case, I believe there is no cell signal on the island due to the power going out.
The closer we get to the end, the more I want to see a "Librarian does INFRA" video. Imagine doing some UrbEx while playing the role of Mark, taking pictures of damage, constantly finding batteries for his camera and flashlight in random places, being spooked by teddy bears, making deadpan comments, and pretending to fix random things just to progress further into the building. It would be such a fun parody, and it wouldn't take much to add some glowing mushrooms (a little glow-in-the-dark paint, for example) and conspiracy notes. Have other people set it up so it's a blind exploration and see how far he can get. Considering the DLC may never drop, this would be a great way to top of such a great series.
I wouldn't say "may never drop" regarding Whiprock. The devs have confirmed on discord that they're focusing on Obenseuer right now, but Whiprock is still happening... Eventually™.
@@WackoMcGoose One can certainly hope, but I've lived through several decades of companies promising games that were delayed until they simply were forgotten. Considering this game isn't that well-known, there's a decent chance the same could happen. I intend to keep an eye out just in case the DLC manages to survive, though, as I really like both INFRA and Obenseuer and the world that's been created.
“Why have people opened this public bunker?,” he asks, _despite the massive catastrophe unfolding around him._ The city surely knows by now. E: Xeander Berg dissolved into mushrooms in the end. You can see a somewhat humanoid shape on the ground. He wasn’t able to shoot himself before it finally happened. E2: Berg and Kleinmann died together. It’s mildly hinted in the wiki that they may have been more than just business partners.
Someone else in the comments said they saw a hat, with a gun beside it, and a puddle of blood. I imagine he shot himself before giving into the slow death of that mushroom infection. Or the one beside him shot himself to die with him - which is what allowed his corpse to eventually get exposed to the mushrooms, too. According to some other comments here... there is reason to believe those corpses (now just two mushroom-patch silhouettes) were Berg and Kleinman who lived together there. All these clues... and yet the games actual backstory still remains very murky to me.
The green and red bouys are Starboard and port sea traffic markers . There is one system called jalla a and one called jalla b The colour / side combo is different depending on standard used. They tend to tilt over in the current, cool that the devs got that detail right. Regarding the parking near the docks, using unexplotitet dirt gravel lots in european cities as improvised ( often regulated) parking , is not uncommon. sometimes they are used for "vehicle storage" type of parking . The square grid that needed a key is a storm drain cover , very common model in the nordic contrys, we don't have them in the sidewalks ,usely.
Yup, it's very common to see areas in front of those types of docks full of parked cars. I never speculated on it, as it has always been a regular sight to me. I'm surprised it's not a thing in America. But then again... having a boat is regarded as such a rare luxury in USA.
Funny how on multiple occassions mark finds himself so close to the surface (even seeing windows out), but instead of maybe breaking a window or something to get out on surface level he has to do something stupid, like fall down on an elevator, god knows how far down again.
I would have loved to be a fly on the wall through the development of this game. I bet they had a bit of beer at the office and had a hoot while designing this level. Just notice all the silly bears and details, lol... A moonshine distillery in a 13th century castle used as a tourist attraction? With special attention to the toilet? Lol... There were lots of laughs during this development for sure.

I'll be making a playthrough of this series myself in approximately 6 months for my channel. I'm thinking autumn/winter would be a great time for this type of setting and mood.
1:12:52 - If you look closely you can see a humanoid shape which seemed to have fallen from the wheelchair onto the ground and turned into mushrooms. I say turned because there's no skeleton.
I *LOVE* the Stalburg Castle and the other segment that takes place on the Stalburg streets. I really enjoyed the semi open world approach to it. Making you do sort of a quest to progress was really cool and fun. If they plan on doing a sequel, I hope they do it with a semi open world approach. I would love to explore an actual city that has enterable buildings and all that INFRA goodness.
@BroccoliAckerman I'm so incredibly surprised by this. I've just seen a couple episodes of playthrough of that game... and I would never in my wildest dreams have imagined that Obenseuer is even remotely related to Infra. It just looks so, so different. The graphics and everything looks incredibly indie / low-cost in Obenseuer.
Regarding the crashes... it's actually a known issue with the game as a whole, and it's related to the total playtime of a save file. On most "casual" playthroughs (or experienced replaythroughs), it tends to start occuring in the vicinity of Chapter 9. But since you've been taking your time and looking at things from an urbex perspective, that's why it's started happening in Castle Rock, you reached the threshold time (16 hours? no one knows for sure) earlier in the game. It _does_ usually only happen while saving, happens randomly, triggers the crash after _completing_ writing the save (doesn't cause save corruption as far as anyone knows), and affects quicksaves (F5), autosaving, and manual hardsaves.
Huh. That's very interesting. I never experienced these crashes. But then again I only uncovered about 75% of the stuff the Librarian uncovered - and I thought I was being very dilligent as well. I really tried to find all the secrets. But then again he switched his memory settings down fo Medium/Low, which would be counter-intuitive to me (keeping them High to begin with). Making the PC focus all/most of its resources to the running of a game just feels like a recipe for issues on an intuitive level for me. Surely there are background processes that need resources allocated - which again supports the running of the game smoothly...? Like... you can't have the earth without the sun...
You were right, Librarian. At first, I was REALLY not happy with Mark's voice but he has grown on me a lot since the first episode. Kinda wish the voice actor would exhibit more emotion range, though.
This is a normal Finn, dude. We are stoic up in the North. If we were to raise our pitch in excitement and drama as much as Americans, we would get punched out in the schoolyard as young boys and called gay. We have a self-perpetuating culture of keeping ourselves cold as ice up in the North.
It's so memorable because you're finally above ground and just within reach of civilization again. I remember this part very well, too. I don't know if Librarian realised this - but that tall modern building right behind that raised bridge is the company Mark works at.
22:10 Feels like Undertale (and Undertale Yellow) in a nutshell. Everything that happens occurs over the course of one day. You were being chased by a murderous fish person earlier? Welp, now that skeleton from earlier in the day set up a hangout between you and her... and then next thing you know you're helping her crush work up the courage to ask her out. Meanwhile, Deltarune is different where the game's events are set to occur over the course of a week.
I'm not gonna watch this yet, just got recommended to me. I'mma have to check this whole series too, because your content is chilling af and very well made, i still have to watch "in the fog" since episode 2 because i keep forgetting to check on this channel and content
20:31 This here reminds me of that roundabout scene from The Polar Express. Someone had a field day making a comically dangerous situation for three children to deal with.
The "dark" really is not that much of a problem as you think it is. It's intentional ambience. It most certainly looks like a typical morning up in the North.
the fuse panel in the abandoned building after the cave does nothing. you can have 2 leftover fuses from the cave area, bring them both, but the panel wont accept them
Mac and cheese tonight, hope you're having a good day, enjoy your game, and to everyone else , also have a good day :) this is the most civil comments section love ya guys.
6:50 Funny enough, if you noclip or use the force-unlock-door console command, there _is_ a face-down body in there that just sort of exists whether you save Robin or not.
21:43 It's hilarious to me that the events of the game span over around 20 hours, which is noticeably shorter than the average time it takes for a player to complete the game for their first time
I wonder what's behind that door where the crank broke off in the burning power plant at the start? I think what you're supposed to do is put the handwheel you were holding in the hole where the crank broke off. Edit: omg I'm so sad you didn't notice that the mushrooms in Berg's hideout were in the shape of two human figures holding hands! I don't totally get who the other person was supposed to be? or the presence of that handgun.. so weird!
Reading through the comments, it seems those two mushroom silhouettes are the corpses of Berg and Kleinman who lived together there. A puddle of blood and a hat next to one of the heads, too. I'll let you connect the dots on that one... ^^ PS: Regarding the power plant in the beginning of this episode... I definitely didn't jump out of the window like the Librarian did. I'm sure of it. So, yeah, there is supposed to be another way. I'm surprised it worked though. He did almost die doing that... : P
"Garderobe" literally means "Closet" (or "Wardrobe") in modern-day Scandinavian languages. I'm surprised if the Finnish use that word, though. Their language is very different from Norwegian/Swedish/Danish. [Referring to the castle tourist plaque you saw about the castles restroom.]
This game has a weird looping background ambience that I can't tell if it's a fireplace or keyboard sounds and I've never understood why it's there, it just sounds annoying but it's quiet enough that it can be ignored most of the time.
This is very out of context, but i can't actually believe that you haven't played SOMA by now (maybe you did privately, if so my comment is useless) - I'd give absolutely anything to watch you play that masterpiece of a horrorgame.
I don't know if you thought of this at the time, but that valve wheel you had at the beginning could've opened the door that you near when the handle broke off, giving you access to that room.

Surely there are background processes that need resources allocated - which again supports the running of the game smoothly...? Like... you can't have the earth without the sun...
I like the way you described Infra in one of the earlier episodes, it's like a fantasy adventure in an urban setting.
He wasnt talking about a boat, it was 'boot' :) Thats the boot you found before with a screwdriver stuck in it.
If im ever doing work somewhere, leave for a moment, come back and find my packs of batteries gone, doors unlocked and stuff moved, ill suspect mark
I hope you look at the edit again and have a proper look at the shape of the shrooms at Xander Berg's house
I imagine the shock will dawn on him in the editing phase 😅
I think it’s so funny that you just want the citizens to notice you, but they’re too Finnish to do that!
It just struck me that the green mushroom forms the outline of a body.
Two bodies... holding hands...
And a gun, a hat, and a puddle of blood.
Love how calming your videos are even when they're creepy. You're perfect at capturing the creepy comfy vibe
This might be one of my favorite sequences in the game. Love the whole island you explore
Still can't thank you enough. I've loved INFRA ever since WhyBeAre covered it.
20:31 This here reminds me of that roundabout scene from The Polar Express. Someone had a field day making a comically dangerous situation for three children to deal with.
37:02 was that a geo cache?? On the beam!!!
I only recently got the game’s name.
Infra.
Infrastructure.
Your job is to report on poor infrastructure maintenance and stability
This dawned me relatively early on when I played the game years ago. But it wasn't at the start, either.
It is a fun little moment.
it's weird that infra kept crashing near the end. I wonder if that map was reaching the entity limit
The "dark" really is not that much of a problem as you think it is. It's intentional ambience. It most certainly looks like a typical morning up in the North.
the fuse panel in the abandoned building after the cave does nothing. you can have 2 leftover fuses from the cave area, bring them both, but the panel wont accept them
Mac and cheese tonight, hope you're having a good day, enjoy your game, and to everyone else , also have a good day :) this is the most civil comments section love ya guys.
amazing video, like always!!!! (i haven't even reache the 10 minute mark but it's already amazing...)
Where is the fire department 😂
6:50 Funny enough, if you noclip or use the force-unlock-door console command, there _is_ a face-down body in there that just sort of exists whether you save Robin or not.
"and a stack of cash- *smashing keys*"
21:43 It's hilarious to me that the events of the game span over around 20 hours, which is noticeably shorter than the average time it takes for a player to complete the game for their first time
castle rock is SUPER crash happy. a later area is too, but it depends on how much RAM you have i think
Librarian that note said boot, not boat, i think
I thought it was just my computer lol but your game is crashing too.
missed geocache 37:03
Good job! i love ur videos and i cant wait to see the next :)
PS: Regarding the power plant in the beginning of this episode...
[Referring to the castle tourist plaque you saw about the castles restroom.]
title should have been King of the Crash
Yes Librarian, you were a toilet hipster.
What if g-man is indeed mark from infra who has gone through so many things and inspection he uncover alien stuff, got recruited and become g-man lol
38:29 He missed a larger flashlight
INFRA is great
This game sure is long, i have made it i think to the Bergman tunnels.
Here I thought the crashes I had when playing were due to running it with Proton. Apparently that happens on Windows too
11:15 it isn't terribly uncommon to find old dynamite or nitro in abandoned mines
This game has a weird looping background ambience that I can't tell if it's a fireplace or keyboard sounds and I've never understood why it's there, it just sounds annoying but it's quiet enough that it can be ignored most of the time.
Just saying, you've got me hooked on this game dude... ^_^
infraaaaaa!!
8:40 the door closed
Why would Mark care about Robin? He literally almost killed him.
epic!
cheese
Can you play inscryption? I have a feeling you'd really like it. It's a lot like buckshot roulette.
This is very out of context, but i can't actually believe that you haven't played SOMA by now (maybe you did privately, if so my comment is useless) - I'd give absolutely anything to watch you play that masterpiece of a horrorgame.
Burger
Day 15 of asking the librarian to play What Remains of Edith Finch
no u see thegame crashing is a joke about the car crash
Damn, I'm very early. Still says no views. Just say down with a big bowl of mac n cheese too, so the timing couldn't be better!
Hello
Pizza
Day 1 of asking the librarian to play shipwrecked 64
Please play signalis. It’s a wonderful game, I really enjoyed it, and I never beat it but I got significantly far into it, and it was a blast to play.
Day 7 of recommending Return of the Obra Dinn.
A channel named "AsqRob" just started a series on that game.
Day 82 of suggesting Signalis
I don't know if you thought of this at the time, but that valve wheel you had at the beginning could've opened the door that you near when the handle broke off, giving you access to that room.
