The Tulips Buttonhole by TechKnitter is a perfectly-formed, strong buttonhole with even cast-on and bind-off edges. I highly recommend investing time in learning this advanced technique. The blog link above includes free video and step-by-step photo instructions.
You were gone for so long..... I love your videos. Glad to see you are back.
I can't wait to try this, it looks so simple. The quality of your videos is superb!
Thank you Renna! I honestly can't believe I was able to show this technique in 5 minutes. I worked hard on this one!
Your efforts paid off! 👍🏻
obviously not simple but we worth the effort.
Wow, that looks so much better than what I’ve made of the traditional buttonhole - can’t wait to try it for my next project!
I agree! TechKnitter gets all the credit. I just show the technique clearly :)
ooohh, this looks great. I'm going to try this for my purse. I'm adding a turnlock so I think this sort of buttonhole will work for the opening part (I am going to put fabric on the flap too and make a hole there as well. I think it will look good.
Thanks Liat!
There is hardly no videos at all on utube that shows how to make leg holes for dog sweaters or anything else. I wish you would make some. By the way live your videos and your channel and your website!
Thank you so much! You are the SUPERSTAR!
Aw, Brenda, thanks for watching and commenting!
This would make a good slot on the corner of a diagonally knitted washcloth, substituting for a crocheted loop, for hanging up.
Hi Catherine,
Thank you so much for writing. What an awesome idea! If you have already made a washcloth using the Tulip's buttonhole, would you please send us a photo? We would love to put it on our Facebook page and show other knitters this great idea!
By any chance do you have a demestration for German short rows
Hi Diane! Thanks for writing in. KnitFreedom does not have any videos for German Short Rows yet, but here is an excellent resource that may be helpful to you! v=R0BpxooNqXo&feature=youtu.be, asatricosa.com/german-short-rows/
Great video .. thank you
Thank you Helen!
Fabulous, thank you so much
Thanks Desiree!
Interesting way to make a good looking buttonhole.
Hi Jean! TechKnitter is quite a genius. I just show the technique :)
does everyone except me knit continental?
Absolutely not! I learned to knit in the English/American style along with many many people. I'm sorry if I did not show the knitting part of this video in American style. Since the knitting piece isn't the focus of this tutorial, it probably slipped my mind.
