When we full time RVed, we stayed a few months in Waukee, IA. Biked to the High Trestle Bridge and stopped at this bar. Such a fun area with all the biking trails.
At first glance, I thought the same thing lol. My Mom's maiden name is 'Fever' in the Anglicized sense, but 'Favre' is also another way of spelling it in the Latin/French form. That bartender definitely looked like Brett Favre and some of my relatives have similar features as him. Honestly, because the surname 'Fever' and 'Favre' are so rare, we are probably VERY distant relatives. I wonder what that bartender's surname is...haha.
Small towns in Midwest US which are obviously named after another famous place/city that get upset when you call their town the name that they are named after never fails to be hilarious
Or...there could have been a guy named Steve Nelson that actually lived there and they could have called it Nelsonville. Just a thought. Instead of Mt. Vernon, or Oxford, etc.
@@krr2469 I was going to say, at least he didnt go to Nevada and pronounce it the same as the state! And Nevada aint very far from Madrid... just north on 17, go past one of the best BBQ places in Iowa in Luther, IA, hit US 30, head east through Ames, and the next town is Nevada!

U stop in. And DEFENITELY put a C note into the pull tab box. Crazy 8s would be my preference..u know the 127 dollar winner that had red lines everywhere.

If you are looking for more bars to go to I recommend the Alpine Inn in Omaha NE. They feed the leftover chicken bones to the raccoons outside so you can sit next to a raccoon and have your meal.
All beers are relatively cheap - probably less than the bottle in all cases (after all, they generally all have the same ingredients water, hops, grains, rice, and yeast) - its the marketing that makes people pay higher prices
