It's 1966. I'm 17 years old and take a 6 hour ride from Philly to Pittsburgh. The group was great, But I had to see in person Janel Vogel. The voice of an angel. It was worth the ride and sleeping in the car. She absolutely made the group unique.
I want to go back to the late 1950's and enjoy this beautiful song in a brand-new Plymouth on a peaceful spring morning out on a scenic country drive.👍👍
Yeah! This is a wonderful song the tone and melody is perfection at its best he was only 19 years old at the time today forget about it if there are any young people that could sing like this it has to be in the Church or or just gifted somehow.

About 15 years ago at a concert a new member of the Skyliners I knew took me to their dressing room and I met, talked with, and got Jimmy Beaumont's autograph. My very favorite Skyliner song!! Even more than "Since I Don't Have You" which comes in a solid second. Janet's run at the end of this is even better than the one at the end of "Since I Don't Have You" and always gives me chills. Such a fantastic voice and addition to the group. She left us way to early in life. Thanks for the great post Richie.
I recall reading Jimmy grew up in a family that sang a lot. There were more musically-inclined families back then. The numbers have declined each decade. More high schools need to bring back their music programs.
