    Hey Brock! I have re-ordered about 10 574HC over the last couple weeks. Best part about me giving you one to use VS the MFG is more genuine content for your viewers! Hope you’re enjoying it so far

    I like your technique Brock. I don’t think it is hurting the tractor at all. I think the tractor is a good versatile all around machine with the loader, backhoe and some other attachments you can do a lot. Sure there are specialized machines for various tasks but the tractor is the best all around versatile machine. Enjoyable video. Thanks Brock

    Howdy Brock! Looks good to me - like your technique. Doesn't look like you scratched the paint on that rock bucket lol. Love that you are using the rocks from your property to fix the island. 2 birds, one stone (or rock). Nicely done and thanks for sharing 🤠

    I liked watching you shake the dirt to get the rocks out. There are several TH-cam channels that I watch that complain about rocks in their pastures/on their acres of land.

    Very nice bucket for sure! Shaking the bucket to sift won’t hurt the machine at all…. Just need to check all the loader bolts regularly for tightness especially at the frame mounts…. But you do that anyway per another video you did a while back. I will have to say… that TYM tractor is growing on me! 🔥🔥👍👍

    Brock, not related to your video today, but I wanted to dot thank you for your advice and knowledge on drilling metal. I had to attach a hose holder to my grapple, and went slow and used a lubricant. Brand new bit stayed new and didn’t ruin it like I have done in the past. Keep up the great content.

    I own a competitor's brand. It is almost exactly like the one you show. After a year I can say it's so-so.
    If you have sandy soil, that has been broken by a disc of plow, and it is dry - it work good.
    If you have clay in the soil, it doesn't work near as well.
    You will wear out the tilt cylinder doing the shake and shake. After two weeks of trying, I had about one ton of rocks and one ton of dirt. Mine was $1400 delivered.
    Worth it??? Maybe.

    Tractors are made to work. My tractor works very hard. That’s why i bought it. Great job. Are you finding the bigger tractor harder to work with. I am finding it taking me a learning curve to get used to. I had so many hours in my small tractor my new one is so much bigger.

  • @jimmerrithew453
    @jimmerrithew453 7 หลายเดือนก่อน

    Hi Brock. Shaking the rock bucket removes most of the soil. If you recruited a helper, he/she could use a hose to spray the load and remove more soil.

    The BY85 Backhoe has a manual thumb option (google BY85 Illustrated Parts Manual) as well as several bucket options. It comes standard with the 18" bucket but I purchased the 9" bucket for electrical trenching. The wider buckets are smooth bottom where the others have teeth. Also, unlike JD, I purchased the BY85 backhoe for $6,500 INSTALLED and NEW from Small Farm Innovations in Caldwell, TX and highly recommend them. The prices have probably went up a little since I bought mine but still far less that the $10,000 you mentioned.

    "sometimes" it's just faster to go manual: pick up the big rocks and throw 'em in the bucket vs. trying to mess around with the equipment. But that bucket looks great and will be great for picking up from a stock-pile of rocks in the future and transporting rocks the dirt will fall thru.

      You are absolutely right about the Skid steer being the best machine for it
      Power, visibility, suddenness of movement on the boom

    • @RockhillfarmYT
      @RockhillfarmYT  7 หลายเดือนก่อน

      As long as you’re not being crazy with it, I’m sure it would do OK on the Skid steer but it’s not rated for that type of capacity. These are made for compact tractors.

    It seems that the rock bucket might be more productive, if at first the rock area was completely excavated/loosened. Then sift through the debris for the rocks. So many TH-cam farmers suffer from heavy rock infiltrations on their farms. I enjoy your videos. Best wishes.

    Brock:
    Like your presentation as usual, TYM looks like a good piece of equipment,
    thumb would be nice but you seem to be ok with what you have. As for the
    naysayers and other Monday morning QB types possibly they should stay in their own lane. Yes I was being nice,
    if they don't like how you do stuff, move on. See how easy that was.

    With a cab tractor you can shake it baby shake it! Open station will leave you with a coat of dirt at best. My property with cacti means if you shake it you get airborn bits that work their way into your skin and remind you for weeks not to do that again!

    Morning Brock, I really don't think you should try and break the equipment you have, I think you should use it like you own it and if it breaks doing what you or I would use it for then it's crap. I use my tractor for what I need but I don't try to break it. I'm sure these companies wouldn't drop off equipment if you tell them I'm going to try to break it because I know I can break any piece of equipment if I tried. Just caught me off guard when you said you were going to try and break the tractor.

      I would not post it as a question unless I had gotten comments from people. On previous videos several people made the comment that shaking the loader would tear it up

    Everybody shakes their grapples. If it damages the hydraulic they were poorly made. And I agree. Use the tractor hard. Most farmers do. And so do construction jobs. How else would anyone know if its a good or bad piece of equipment.

    Artillian makes premium products. I appreciate your diligence in working their products to the point of breaking, but so far you’ve had little to no success. That’s quite a testimonial to their quality and longevity. Really want to see the Rock Bucket with the Grapple attached.
