- It's not always easy, and the campgrounds are not always picturesque. The struggles of full-time travel are tough during school holidays!
After leaving Perth, it hits home. The coast is packed, inland is hot, and we're swarmed by flies!

Lake Indoon is a known tick spot. We always seem to pick up one or two when we camp there. Anyone camping there needs to carefully check themselves when they leave.
Good to know, cheers.
That was hectic! So much going on with promotions crammed in about fridges. No where to stay, but you found somewhere, cut feet at a salt lake, drone footage of the pink lake ( that wasn't pink), new frying pans that I was waiting for a 10% discount on.. also thought that the 12 volt vacuum cleaner was going to be promoted with another discount. Happy days!
There was a bit of down time in between all that, but that doesn't make for great viewing 😂 Sorry, no discounts on frying pans or vacuum cleaners. Maybe next time.
Oh Boy! That was a busy episode. I'm tired just from watching it. I hope by now James' foot has healed. The drone footage was amazing!
You and me both! Thanks mate, James is all good.
That drone footage is truly stunning. But the whole episode is FABULOUS! Congratulations Liz on finishing your course.
Yes! Thank you!
Nice bluetti fridge but not a new idea, there's an aussie brand, Brass Monkey that has 12v fridges on the market with that tech for a couple of years, takes an optional removeable lithium battery in one end and direct solar panel/blanket input, I have a 2yr old 75 litre dual zone fridge freezer with that ability, $799, sold at Jaycar and RTM, great nationwide support too.
Interesting! I think making them interchangable with the power station is handy.
Congrats Liz on completing your design course. What a fantastic achievement, well done! 👏
Thank you! Cheers!
Wow that drone footage is great. The colours are amazing. Thanks for a great episode. Congrats on finishing you course.👍
Thank you! Cheers!
Wow. That was another great episode. The drone footage was just amazing. Thanks team.
Glad you enjoyed it!
Stone Stomper damage. Everyyyy time you unclip you clip it onto the next metal clip along the line so it never drags on the road. Everyyy time
Been there done that.
Yeah, I need to come up with something, I can't clip it into the next one as I remove all of them from one side to access the back of the car.
Good to see what you got up to, stunner of a salt lake, but even better the way you shot it, beautiful 👍🏻🌟
Think that's the most I've heard James talk!
Now it's hard to get him to stop!
Huge congratulations on finishing your course. Down time is wonderful and that bush camp would be the serenity we love. Yes Aldi is amazing. Love the battery esky, such a great idea. Also agree the scenery you see incidentally can be just as amazing as the big things around it.
Thanks so much! 😊
Happy Birthday to you both 🧁 🍺 🍷 x
Thank you!
Jeezz the drone shots were bloody epic , sometimes tech has its uses and that was one of them.
Also well done Liz on finishing your design course , lookout now you will be designing a new style caravan layouts .
Thanks so much!
Yes agree drone footage was stunning. 😂😂 coffee machine love ❤️…. I understand completely. How amazing is creation except for flies! Thanks for sharing
So true!
Wow what an amazing landscape, hope James foot healed up ok. Those flies would drive me crazy though. Have a good week. Cheers
Thanks 👍
Great episode
Thanks!
Dongara in the shire of Irwin area used to be where i stopped heading North and South. Visited the shops, got fuel etc. Then the shire decided to push up all the overnighter costs for travelers throughout the shire so now I just drive on by. Its a shame because its local businesses losing out so the shire can slug people. There are better cheaper stops within an hours drive of the place.
Totally agree! We would have loved to stay there and spend money in town but continued to Geraldton instead.
Aw one of our favourite places at Port Gregory. There is a young fam who own the caravan park there too, and well worth the stay!
Ah, cool. Good to know, cheers!
Cool ep and spots guys
Cheers!
Top work 💯🇦🇺
🤙
Liz I always love your sense of humour. The flies would drive me insane. What type of drone and handheld camera do you use? I can’t decide which drone etc. It’s all so confusing. Thanking you in advance. Enjoy your travels.
Thanks so much! We use a DJI Air 3 these days. We have a Sony ZV E-10 for a lot of our handheld work and an Osmo pocket for some stuff as well.
So, how to enrol yourself in The Easter Fly eating completion, bring your own children
😂👍
You can make coffee with uht milk, no fridge just keep the current one cold, by in 2 ltr containers. Very easy.
Depends on the style of coffee you like I guess. Nothing beats fresh milk.
Hahahaa re Aldi. I've a couple of laps under my belt now but the "Aldi Gap" I think is Geraldton to Rockhampton, although there are some exceptional IGA's in between, when I went to Rocky's Aldi it was like a sugar hit.🙂
😂 Love it!
Always enjoy your video and quick the kids get in to it now.talking fo stonestomper Simon I’m looking at taking my stone guard off to get rid of weight 10 -14kg and replacing with stonestomper,is it enough protection to the van some people have both?😎
I used to have both, but ditched the stone guard to save weight, like you say. It seems OK without it.
Excellent video, thanks. Do you think the Bluetti power pack would be able to run the aircon for a while?
Yes it will but depends on your A/C wattage. Their bigger units definitely can, but only for a bit over an hour.
The red algae is all so use in food colouring
That's interesting!
Awesome footage!! Are you able to point me in the direction of your video on unboxing and shopping tips for prepping when going off grid.
Sure thing! This is the one on food prep th-cam.com/video/KkRdXumUWZE/w-d-xo.html and this is the playlist for the whole off grid series we did th-cam.com/play/PLMZkqlR6t_txc69PMnRtGo3YptZc13AMO.html
@@TheLifestylePioneers Cheers! Thanks for the tips. We’re heading away for 5 weeks, not all remote thank goodness. 5 off us with 3 teenagers who can eat, the meal prep and fitting in all the food is one of the biggest stressors.
Hope it helps, have fun!
Vacuum sealer wows saw you using one in the episode. Is yours any good? 12 volt as well as 240? Name of the brand? And would you recommend for long term travel on the road?
Ours is an old 240v one from 4wd Supacentre years ago. They're really handy but not a must have.
You guys need to slow down and smell the roses. Having to pack up and relocate every two or three days doesn't give you time to see and enjoy the area.
We normally do, depends where we are and if it's pleasant to stay. We often spend a week or more at each place, but you don't always see that on TH-cam.
Noice Vid.. One Day
Cheers
Eating up the miles, if only flies never knew where a human mouth was?
Right!?
Having to suffer through you're Bluetti sales pitch was painful.
