Ok this is a fantastic video. Great script, some awesome edits and good audio. I do have complaints about the editing though, which is that while the individual edits here are awesome, as a whole it feels like a mess of ideas. For example, the glitched text at the start looks amazing by itself, but in context it feels overly dramatic. You definitely do have promise as an editor though, you just need to get a more polished and consistent style (which comes with time) :) Otherwise absolutely brilliant work! PS: Please upload in 60fps
I still think it's hilarious that literally everyone sees ATSOL as the quintessential overplayed GD song even though it's used less than Supernova, Ludicrous Speed, Dimension etc.
Let's accept it: Many of here would like to Robtop change the musical source of the game cuz NG with its bad laws are becoming annoying. (Knowing there are some obviously laws that must be respect (i agree) but some are trashy and unnecesary tbh)
In the "we should have more hardcore style music" section I was expecting you to mention speedcore, since that is also hard hitting and more popular in other music-centered games, but I guess The Big Black and Galaxy Collapse already are pretty relevant to GD.
Geometry Dash was a very important game for me, mostly for its songs. I still remember making my first level with Unarmed by Dex Arson back in 2.0. And if it weren’t for this game, I wouldn’t have known about Waterflame, Creo, Dex Arson and Xtrullor. I feel like it helped me develop a unique taste in music.

Artists like Creo, Lockyn and specially garlagan will always have a place in my heart just because of the quality of their songs. Yes, I discovered them through GD but I appreciate their music as what it is and not as where it came from. And I'm happy I came across these artists because I wouldn't have done it otherwise if it weren't for GD. Seriously, garlagan has created masterpieces yet only his most mediocre songs got to become popular because of this game, which is a huge shame
I think you don't read comments but recently i skimmed through video "120 genres of EDM" (i watched it like a year ago) and the genre that had most associations with gd for me was melodic dubstep
As of 2021 and 2022, we're starting to get more BMS Artists, despite most BMS music being NONG, we'e been seeing stuff like, Nhelv, created for I believe the BMS of Fighters 2017 by Silentroom. (Most commonly said as BOF) We also have been getting a bit more usage of xi music, examples being Freedom Dive and Ascension to Heaven, but it's still the same for the most part.
For a Month or so you're improving. Not only you researched it but also included artists that we're influential that time. Maybe in the future, I'll be able to do GD again after beating Deadlocked and I'll start beating demons again. Thank you for enlightening me and now I am going to finish Deadlocked.

In my eyes, GD music could go in any direction. I could see SoundCloud being linked up to GD in the next few years, which would bring a lot more diversity to music in GD. I could see a so-called 'NCS phase' in the community because I think some NCS artists do music on SoundCloud, but I'm not sure. At this point, GD music could go anywhere, but I definitely think that linking GD up with SoundCloud would largely benefit music...
A lot more ambient and indie songs are being used as well now especially because of the neodesign trend. I feel like for the most part, people are still choosing to keep artists over songs overused but the use of songs with unknown artists is huge. Either that or it’s mainly the levels I play and know. I know this video was made a year ago lol, this is just like a little time capsule comment
