Bro, disc pads wear out faster in hills. Specially in Sikkim and Northeast due to really steep roads there. Pl use both engine braking and brakes. I have seen car brakes starting to smoke on those roads. If possible ,stop once in a while after steep descents to cool the brakes..All the best, have a safe ride.

When I did some research, I came to know that Honda had installed organic pads instead of metal or ceramic ones and due to weight of bike, it wears down quickly during rainy season. Since then I have started using engine braking to slow down the speed and I use the brakes only when I want to completely stop it. For sure it will affect the drive chain and teeth of rings, still its a better option till Honda finds some solution.
@@abhinandanghosh4056 A spare parts seller quoted 4k for ceramic brake pads which Honda uses in high end bikes. But i went with organic 3rd party pads which costed just 300-350.

I have swapped the front nissin brake pads with Vesrah Ceramic Brake pads. They offer better bite and will last much longer than the OEM pads. During rains the OEM brake pads hardly last for 1000kms.

My bike is just 10000 kms plus n I have already replaced front break pads 3 times n back once ...and when i complained they said it's becos of hill terrain where as the last I replaced was after I started using the bike in Siliguri...pathetic
I can confidently say this. I rode extensively on highways at 120 and hills a lot. U need to use engine braking and be on right gear. Don't unnecessarily shift to fourth or fifth gear

The disk pad issue is rampant now a days....brand new bikes disk pads get finished in 1000 kms. Honda has to address this seriously
