Starfield is hands down my favorite Bethesda game to come out ever. I'm not even kidding. It does things that no other game does at that scale. I'm about 15 hours into Shattered Space and love it as well. To the people that said in their review there are no new companions, weapons, skins etc all lied. All of those things are there. The story is fantastic but like any BGS game you need to seek it out as a lot of the story beats are side quests that fill in the main quest, some of these quests are over 3 hours long. If you want to play a hold my hand linear game from a to b, Starfield is not your game you should stick to TLOU or GOW.
I actually agree with you. I loved it. I loved the base game too. The music box item that you get in one quest and use in another... Brought me to tears. And I already have 1 new companion that appears to be really flushed out back story.
Might have played 15 hours since shattered space launched but the DLC isn’t that long at all for the average player. I got through the main quest like in a handful of hours. Not everyone is going to do every side quest and open every building etc.
Rand you have really good taste in TV and movies. I totally take your point about One Piece. But to elaborate a little on why your Superchat said the 1000 episodes are worth it, is because narratively, plot and character-wise, everything ends up being connected as one big story. It's not like other anime's who have smaller serialized arcs. One Piece is all one narrative spread throughout 1000 episodes and going. And the way its all connected is so intricate and clever that it's immensly satisfying. Also the narrative gets way dark at times. Darker than it arguably should for a Shonen manga/anime. We're talking getting small kids addicted to dope so they'd be more amenable to get experimented on - kind of dark. It really is worth the watch or read the manga, it's even faster. Also consider that each episode is around 22min, and 6-8 of those minutes are for the opening and closing themes/credits. If you skip those on a binge watch, each episode is only about 15min. So you can knock out 3 episodes in the same amount of time as a 1hr show with no commercials (47 min) Naruto and concurrently Boruto is my number one all time favorite IP of anything. But anyone that studies myth, story or narrative layering and plot or character development, One Piece has crafted something no other story or IP has done in any medium - ever. It's a must read/watch for anyone into narrative design. 'That' is what the OP means when he says it's worth the 1000 episodes. Not gonna lie, it's a bit of a slow burn at first, but if you stick with it, it's immensly satisfying. Hope that helps. 🤘
Starfield is like british food. It lacks seasoning. It needs alien races and sentient ai. Lasers, teleportation, more space magic and blackholes. It bascially needs to have way more fun so we have fun. Everyone feels this way because it feels constrained. When they could have easily expanded the nasa punk into fifth element territory by the end of the game.
It sounds like you want to play a game if Mass Effect and Cyberpunk had a baby (that'd be cool) but SF is not that. I love that starfield is semi-grounded in reality and takes place about 300 years in the future. It shows how I'd imagine it would be in the future if we did start to colonize space based on the tech we have today.

You literally live in parallel universe after the end game wtf do you mean expand to 5th element. There are literally laser(energy) weapons, you have super powers, there was a sentient ai in the one of the quest which you can see in the game again multiple times. Also there is literally teleportation in the dlc, people that didn’t play the game shouldn’t comment on it
It’s a very cool idea and reminds me of Mass Effect a lot. But this isn’t trying to be Mass Effect, it’s trying to be a more grounded/realistic sci-fi game. Perhaps they could do a DLC and add in an alien but idk if it will work/fit or upset player base. FA76 literally has alien invasion events which are INSANE so I don’t think BGS are afraid of aliens, just not the intent here.
I agree fifth element would’ve been pretty cool! There still is room for a lot of content in Starfield in a lot of ways if you consider you can add entire planets/populate them or space content. Multi pass! 🤣

Shattered Space was awesome the only thing is Main quest was a little short with an open ending for a sequel which we will get next year... but i get the hate, hating on Starfield bring views and money. you got idiots that gave the DLC a bad review ONLY because Bethesda didn't give them a review code. Please stop speculating why Xbox isnt doing something (like marketing) or Xbox tax and just asked for better from them. Have a higher standard, yes we should judge Bethesda on their past DLC like Far Harbor cause we know they can do better. Starfield was absolutely amazing. I really enjoyed it and for me it was 10/10 GOTY. Looking forward to trying out the DLC and new updates!
