I see this scene as Jingim attempting to connect with his Mongol side as many people whisper about him being more Chinese than Mongol. Props to the actor for being able to say so much with two simple words. Watch as he sits and humbly takes in his surroundings on how mongols think and act.
This scene is the reason I originally started searching for and listening to Mongolian throat singing about a year ago, it's also the main reason I discovered ethnic zorigoo, however I did not know who was performing in this scene before.
This scene is the climax of the entire show. From music and war preparations to the prince's act of reaching out to the band of singing monks and his mystical communion with his comrades under the spellbinding force of their heart-touching music are all incredibly moving and worth watching, over and over again. The background music towards the end, too, is equally amazing and the meek prince seems unable to stop tears in his eyes at that very moment, which is akin to becoming one with the moment. Moreover, great camera work, direction, and designing. Truly a remarkable show, a fascinating depiction of the past.

Netflix lost over 200 million usd on this show so they cancelled it :( i am dissapointed same as many here :( but few loyal viewers cant save a show if they dont make money from it ...

This is the closest I've come to finding something like Game of Thrones. Not quite on the same level, of course, but still a great show. It's a damn shame it got cancelled.
This is one of the best shows I have got to witness over the years, constant tension and excitement with very colourful and interesting families, I hope to gods of all religions that are allowed in the mongol empire that they make season 3
WHAAAT SERIOUSLY???? NO THEY CAN'T DO THAT! This show had flaws but I still loved it and enjoyed watching it. I loved the actors and their characters and the place and time and culture. Writing was good enough, it would definitely had deserved the third season to finish the story. Now they left it completely open and untold with that season 2 ending :/
Loved the first season but disliked the second one. Watched 3 episodes or so of season 2 and hooked off there. But something like Marco Polo would be much appreciated. A series about the Great Khan or so would be instantly my favorite.
4 years late but its likely a sanxian which is Chinese and the Okinawan sanshin is basically just a copy. So they are the same exact instrument and perfectly plausible for a Mongol to use one.
