What can I say. Been there done that. Keep pitching, there is light at the end of the tunnel. It is when one gets mad and quits. Now that is failure. You are not a failure. Had a rough year this year, culminated to a one keeper day yesterday while fishing my youngest boys first derby! Oh it’s been rough bro. But, I powered through the day and stayed positive which spilled over to my son. At the end of the day he loved it and was so positive about it he is ready to give up baseball to join a youth bass club! It’ll turn around for all of us in a slump if we just keep the faith and power through ! 💪🙏

I wish I could take MJD to that lake and show him what he is missing. This is his second tournament on that lake with the same results. Their style of fishing just doesn't play well on that lake. Obviously other anglers had it dialed in, In local tournaments there it takes 25 lbs to get a check,

Momma said there would be days like this. One of my worst fishing trips of my life I leaned back in the seat of the John boat and the bolts came out and I fell out with no life jacket on. Almost sank the boat. Thankfully I was in chest deep water. When it was all said and done we ended the day with a ruined trolling motor because of water, two ruined batteries, a broken rod, a lost pair of oakleys, a whole 1700 box of lures gone, and we lost the prop on the trolling motor before we could get back to launch. Had to park and come back later with a new motor to get our boat. I look back and laugh at it now but that day sucked bad.
Man I would have hit that golf ball as hard as I could to let my frustration out, you all were hit with some bad conditions there's no way your practice could have played in the tournament, that last fish you caught wouldn't have happened if you gave up after your line got messed up, & your casting is super good man, I have had days like this & I know how you feel, you just don't give up though, better days are coming 👍🎣

The competitive aspect and the fact that you're on the clock to get a good bag of fish really takes away from being genuinely patient with your fishing and just having fun.
