The decision to live in Ridgefield Park honestly depends on where you are coming from. If you are moving from North Bergen or West NY then RP will probably seem great. I was born there in 1973 and moved out in 2005. Personally I would never move back because of crime and demographics.
Yeah plus it’s a great starter town for both people new to the area and from the area. I grew up in Bogota and even though it is not the same socioeconomic class as northern Bergen County, it’s still a very comfortable and enjoyable lifestyle.
