My son 14 years ago was born at 36 week weighing only 3 pounds 11.. and miraculously did not need any help or time in Nicu.. we stayed in the hospital for 11 days after his birth that's just due to his size being too small and not latching on breast properly .. apart from that he was totally fine. Now he's nearly 15 years old and taller than me ... :-) he really was my miracle baby 🥰
My youngest was born almost four weeks early and was always small. She was always under the growth chart min. At 1 year she weighed 12 pounds and was in 6 month clothes. Now she is 24 years old 5’6” and healthy.
So thankful for this video. I’m currently 33 weeks with DI/DI girl twins. My baby B is at 2% and I have been so stressed about it. As soon as I found out I was having twins I started watching your videos. Then when we were diagnosed with severe IUGR I remembered hearing you talk about it in your videos and I went back and watched every single one again. Your videos have really helped me through this pregnancy.
This video brought me so much hope and inspiration. I'm in the hospital rightnow at 24 weeks and I can't wait to see my twin girls soon. Thank You Heather. Thank you so much and pray for me.
I just got diagnosed with one twin sIUGR and the conversations around procedures and reaching viability was horrible. Twin B has marginal cord insertion and is in the 10th percentile and A is 67th with normal insertion. It’s scary when they talk about seminarian of one, disability. Thank you so much for sharing your story! It gives me sooo much hope.
I’ve been subscribed for a few years now and I can say that I’ve watched you grow as a student at CK, to a wife and now an amazing mother! So happy for you and Alec. Harper and Hudson have amazing parents and such a strong mother as well. Your children are so beautiful and Harper cracks me up with her laugh lol. Prayers and blessings from my family to yours!
Heather, I have followed you from the beginning and you and Alex are such wonderful parents, filled with patience with Harper and Hudson. I love how you take them everywhere with you, I know you suffered a hard pregnancy, but you are so Blessed 🙏💞💙
I found you when I was pregnant DD girl and boy and my girl was also 1% ! They were born 36.1 weeks! They are now 6 months and her weight is 7 kilos 🎉❤ just to give hope and motivation to be very disciplined for those moms reading up there ✍🏻God willing all will be good! 💕🌷💝
Thank you so much for this video. I’m currently 28 weeks with my girl/ boy DCDA twins and I’m struggling. At my 20 week scan was also diagnosed with a short cervix (though was not advised to do the cerclage - just progesterone) and told our little boy had IUGR, which has since progressed to severe IUGR (currently between 1-2 percentile). We dont know what’s causing it and the fears around severe chromosomal abnormality, developmental delays, disability are all made worse by my cervix continuing to shorten. Last week was given medication to try to stop contractions and I can only hope to get into my mid-thirties weeks for gestation. I really feel like we’re in the trenches and any hopeful stories are much appreciated, as is your discussion of the emotional strain of this time. Thank you
Your videos helped me through my own mono/di twin pregnancy. I’ve been watching you since you found out you were having twins! In my case, one boy was severe iugr at 1st percentile and the other was at 17th percentile on the scan but 7th percentile when born. They were also born at 36 weeks. They are 5 months now and my severe iugr is still below that first line on the growth chart but growing on his own curve so the doctors aren’t worried. They are meeting their milestones as well and just happy boys. How long did it take Harper to get onto that first line on the growth chart for weight? Thanks for all the great content! It’s amazing to see both Harper and Hudson thriving and doing amazing! Loved hearing her say marshmallow and blueberry 😂
Thank you for both sharing your story and for providing inspiration! Wonderful to know your ‘small but mighty’ daughter is doing so well! I had never heard of asymmetrical IUGR until yesterday when my son and daughter in law got this diagnosis at an 31 week ultrasound to monitor the MCI issue. Since then I have been in a panic, trying to read as much as I can, and your story gave me a sense of peace and hopefulness. Again, thank you so very much.
We had twins in September 2022.. our son fell below 10%tile early.. and our daughter was always below 10%tile and then was below 1%tile at birth.. she has severer IUGR and also had a VCI cord.. (similar to Harper) and after she was born they said her placenta looked inside out.. 😅.. but they made it to almost 37wks.. he was 5.6 and she was 4.4 and he is the one that ended up being transferred to a larger hospital, with a NICU,, and spent a week there.. she is still on the small side… but seems to be doing things ahead of her brother! HHa!!!
I also found you- while looking for info on my daughters cord.. and all your updates have been SO helpful! Our first daughter, was also small- she has always been on the taller side but so skinny! Haha! NICU moms… are just amazing ♥️
The reaction to "they tell you not to stress" made me kinda giggle. "Your baby might die or be severely disabled".... "Do not stress or you'll make it worse" >> Well thanks that helps a ton.
My twin granddaughters were born at 29 weeks and weighed 3 pounds each…they are very petite but pretty much wear their age…at 24 months earring anywhere from 18m-2t they weigh around 23 pounds…the craziest thing is their tiny feet… just now wearing size 4 shoes…they have heads that are 90% but height and weight are around 15-20%
@@munshilal1560I don’t know if this is helpful but me and my younger brother were born iugr, he was 2lbs 10 and I was 1lbs 10. My growth and weight were quite stunted which affected my adult height (4’11)

What age did she maintain the height of her age group? My son was IUGR. He's four now but a year shorter in height and 2 years thinner of his age
Wow I am so worried for my daughter she born 2.250 she is 6 now but still looks small
