Looks about as easy as possible. Hope it tastes as good as it looks. My family loves zucchini bread. This looks like zucchini breads long lost cousin!! Can’t wait to try this.
Well....I love the baked version....and am very glad to bake it in muffin tins too. I like that idea. Just 2 of us here so....I cook some.....and freeze the baked extras. Thks. Ahna USA
Thank you for sharing. This is exactly what I was looking for. My 3 year old son loves to help in the kitchen too. Will give it a go tomorrow on my RDO.
My family always ask me to make this every occasion. I use yellow squash in mine for a colour contrast. I added parsley and parmesan cheese to the top. I have to go to my mums birthday today, guess what I have been asked to make LOL.
i also include grated pumpkin, capsicum . sometimes cauliflower. i precook the carrot, pumpkin and cauliflower in the microwave . the cheese i use is a three blend. tasty, Parmesan and mozzarella. Shredded of course. this gives a nice taste. I also use one half cup of olive oil. about 150gm of diced bacon. This works even if the ratios are not perfect. More of one less of another still tastes good. I eat it hat, cold and as a centre with soup.
Thanks for the feedback :), I'm being more conscious of this on my newer videos. So you should always see a cut piece/serve on those. Sorry that it didn't make it into this video.
This is a tea time treat in Indian cooking. It's called Lagan. Try adding a little while sesame seeds on top of mixture before placing in oven. Love it!! Yum yum.
This looks delicious and I'm going to make this for myself. I'm not a breakfast eater but this is something that is easy, economical and quick to make and I can slice it up, freeze it and eat when I'm on the go and don't have time to cook. I'm going to share this recipe with my daughter 🙂🙂🙂
I hope you enjoy it! This came with me for lunches many times when I worked in an office and it was easy to grab out of the freezer and heat at lunchtime 😀
Thanks for the great recipe. I made it today and it was delicious, I added cooked bacon to mine. I used your suggestion of serving it with sour cream but I also added a dollop of caramelized onion relish on the side, ABSOLUTELY DELICIOUS!!! Thanks again 👍
I'm really glad you enjoyed this recipe, it's one of my favourites. I like the sound of your addition of carmelised onion on the side, I must try it next time. Thanks for watching and for commenting :)
Thanks for subbing! I hope you enjoy making and eating this recipe. It's one of my favorite's and freezes really well so you can always have some tucked away to eat later :-)
Making this , can’t wait for it to cook. I sliced a left over tomato to decorate the top. Thanks for your effort, I love how you cost the recipe also, good work.
This is one of my most favourite recipes. It's really quick and cheap to make. It also freezes really well, I often portion this and freeze for a quick lunch or dinner on those busy days! I hope you enjoy and thanks for commenting :-)
I love this recipe. But I am wondering what is in "All purpose seasoning"? Thank you! Is it = 2 TBSP Paprika, 2 TBSP Salt, 2 tsp Black Pepper, 2 tsp Onion Powder, 2 tsp Garlic Powder, 1 1/2 tsp Basil, 1 1/2 tsp Oregano, 1 1/2 tsp Parsley
You can use any all purpose seasoning that you like, but mine has just salt, pepper & garlic powder. Here’s the recipe : dineitfrugal.blogspot.com/2018/08/the-best-all-purpose-seasoning-ever.html?m=1
Thanks for commenting. The all purpose seasoning is a mixture of Salt, Pepper and Garlic Powder. You can find how to make this by watching the video here: th-cam.com/video/aRcQpZPSLIk/w-d-xo.html otherwise it can be substituted for just salt and pepper instead.
I decided to give this a go. My batter didn’t turn out thick like yours. It’s in the oven now. I assume the oven temp is Celsius. My fingers are crossed 🤞Update: It came out perfect! I think I will try some corn in it next time. Thank you so much for sharing :)
I was looking up zucchini recipes and found this one. Based on comments it seems to be a recipe that you can add a lot of different veggies to it. Wait, bacon is a veggie, right! Haha. I looked over several of your videos and I have subscribed because I think I can make these. Thanks. A Grammy from Maine USA.
Thanks so much for subscribing! It's great to have you here :). I'm glad you're enjoying the recipes. I try to make simple and budget friendly recipes that everyone can make quickly and easily. P.S - Bacon is definitely a veggie, haha.
The all purpose seasoning is a homemade seasoning, made with garlic power, black pepper and salt. Here's a link to the video where I make it. th-cam.com/video/aRcQpZPSLIk/w-d-xo.html
You could possibly try a vegan egg alternative and see if it works. Unfortunately I’ve never done that and can’t say whether it will or not. If you try it, let me know how it turns out!
I have done it both ways, when you don't squeeze out the zucchini water I find you get a less set zucchini slice. I like it better when the extra liquid has been removed :-)
There is a type of cheese that we have in Australia that is called 'Tasty' cheese (I'm not sure if you can get it anywhere else in the world). I would say that it's similar to cheddar cheese if you can't get tasty cheese where you are. Thanks for commenting :-D
I have never tried substituting eggs for this recipe, so unfortunately I wouldn't know if that would work with this recipe. I did although do a quick search and found a recipe for Egg free Zucchini slice that substitutes the eggs for Chickpea flour, coconut milk and tapioca flour. If you're interested here is the link for you take a look - earthchick.com.au/vegan-zucchini-slice-recipe/. Thanks so much for watching!
I usually season to taste. I use around half to a full teaspoon of salt and quarter teaspoon of pepper. You don't want to over salt this. I hope this helps :-)
I think you may be able to; but I've never tried making this with anything other than regular flour. I'm not 100% sure that it will come out the same if you substitute the two. Although I did looked up some articles that suggested that it should be o.k to do it.
Hey I’m an Aussie survivor in the USA- If you wanna open it up to more viewers rename or relaunch it as a Zucchini Bake and have the ingredients in lbs / ounces
Im not the greatest cook but i dont think that 1/8 cup of anything is equal to a tablespoon an title is zucchini slice so of course the first ingredient is GRATED zucchini, duh.
Love😍that you scrape each bowl!

I would have loved to seen a cut slice, so as to see what it looked liked inside. It looked great on the outside :-)

Can you cook in a microwave? Plz
What is Tasty cheese equivalent to (for an American)? Velveeta, perhaps?
Tasty cheese I believe is the same Cheddar Cheese.
I love this recipe. But I am wondering what is in "All purpose seasoning"? Thank you!
Is it = 2 TBSP Paprika, 2 TBSP Salt,

My favourite is roasted sliced cherry tomatoes on top
That sounds delicious! I'm going to try that the next time I make this.
Interesting recipe. What is "all purpose seasoning"?

Looks tasty. Will the oven temp remain a secret? I'm guessing 180c !
Yes, 180C or 350F 😀
Yummy
I decided to give this a go. My batter didn’t turn out thick like yours. It’s in the oven now. I assume the oven temp is Celsius. My fingers are crossed 🤞Update: It came out perfect! I think I will try some corn in it next time. Thank you so much for sharing :)
Good Luck! Hopefully it turns out for you and yes, oven temperature is celsius.
Oven temperature 180C or 180F?
The oven temp is 180C or 350F. Whichever you are using 😀

What is Tasty Cheese equivalent to?
We call it Tasty cheddar here in Australia, but’s i believe it’s just known as Cheddar Cheese in other parts of the world.
I'm glad I don't have to squeeze the water out of the zucchini, or do I have to?

Tasty = Mature
What oven temperature and how long?
180C or 350F for 45 to 60 minutes, or until the slice is set (so it doesn’t giggle in the centre and you can’t see any wet spots) 😀
Can we substitute eggs

I make this but add crumbled cooked bacon or cooked sausage.
Nice channel. I'm all about frugal cooking; subscribed. Just a suggestion: I think a lapel mic would help the audio greatly
Thanks for the tip!
What about salt n pepper
I usually season to taste. I use around half to a full teaspoon of salt and quarter teaspoon of pepper. You don't want to over salt this. I hope this helps :-)

An eighth of a cup is 2 tablespoons not one.

Looks good. But you should say inexpensive and not cheap!!
She is Australian, we say cheap!
Hey I’m an Aussie survivor in the USA- If you wanna open it up to more viewers rename or relaunch it as a Zucchini Bake and have the ingredients in lbs / ounces
Andrew Cabban I think the teaspoons and tablespoon are fine as well as the title
Thats a lot of eggs.
