This an excellent car from a company making great strides again, sales are increasing for all buicks in the USA, and in china this is one if not the top selling brand. I can't way to see the refresh this year. It just goes to show that if you give the people products they want they want they will come. Heres to another 100+ years Buick.
My Mom got a 2011 for about $14K with 45K miles but with just the 2.4l. It sees 26 mpg in mixed driving without the battery eAssist. I have a XTS Vsport with the heavier V6TT and AWD, the LaCrosse with 4-cylinder is light on it's feet and a joy to drive compared to my heavier car.
For this LaCrosse, it's designed as city commute car, and if you want to carpool and need room for your office assist, this is the one. If you want a LaCrosse with more power and performance, go with the 3.6L V6 now with 302 hp up 22 from the one Motorweek tested about 2 years ago. A lot of car critics like this LaCrosse and some believe it was better than the Lexus ES 350, a pretty bold statement.
Being a commercial driver I realize the difference. That' s the reasons why the Europeans use more deisel because of the higher more bang for the buck but US Gov wants the commercial use to bring in more tax money which eats up the benefits of the higher mileage. The average driver perception is smelly, noisey & slow.
Our American Gov. pushes the price of diesel way up past the normal price of petrol. Even though diesel is actually much much cheaper to produce than octain petrol. Diesel is actually obtained like 5 steps before regular gasoline
Have you ever test driven a diesel car or hear one pass by? Thay are just as noisy as as a gasoline car. Europe has no problem with them, why the US? A truck has a bigger engine which will make more noise much like a highpowered gas guzzler muscle car will. A 1.5 liter diesel is quiet. Trust me.
@CowsRCool2KJHQ buick is in its last moments of life is goin to close just like saturn, pontiac, hummer and odsmobile sales are low just the buick name is uncool
The LaCrosse "eAssist" is just another one of GM's marketing ploys to attain a greener image. This car does not get better MPG in the real world. It's a horrible car overall, actually. The Regal and Regal GS are MUCH better.
I have a 2012 with e-assist.Took a trip to Charleston, SC recently. We flowed with traffic serenely at 80 MPH and achieved 33 MPG for the trip. Awesome car, great reliability.

What' not sold in Germany? The Opel Insignia is the Buick Regal just like the Saturns were also Opels, Vaxhuals and Holdens are also GM.
How come that only 15 HP comes from 15 KW battery?
That's a nice looking interior
@thebenstrong i know but the cruze is close to mid size status and more importantly, the lacrosse looks a lot more like a cruze than a malibu.
Well keep trucking.
I got a 2011 cxl 3.6 motor & ya it moves for a big bitch. Comfy safe I may be only 40yrs old but hey it's better than a SUV smh
It's not sold in Germany, so it still has nothing to do with Opel. Nice try though.

@CowsRCool2KJHQ this car is cool thanks to opel
nice car
The US cars don't get many diesel engines due to people making up excuses of why we can't or won't have it in large numbers.

lol! Do you realize that this video is about the Buick LaCrosse, not the Regal???
@rajiv726 l2english champ
@onoff314 sorry it wasn't meant for you
so thats what a chevy cruze hybrid would look like...
no, this is based on a Malibu. The Buick Verano is based on the Cruze.
@@kirksway1 ohhhhh. Makes sense. Thanks!
American luxury will never compete with Japanese, German or even recent Korean cars.....
I wouldn't buy cabbage, I mean gabbage too.
