Tony offered to buy Iris a drink, crushed her phone, kidnapped her, and threatened her. When he returned as Zombie Girder he went looking for Iris. Savitar wanted to kill her. Trickster tried to flirt with her. Thawne was creepily kind to her, stole her from Barry, and tricked her into almost marrying him. Negative Deon infected her with the time sickness to spread it to the positive forces. Eddie wanted Iris back

Thawne’s weird obsession with iris and getting Barry’s life is in the comics. Instead of him being nice when he don’t get her he have the mentality of if I don’t get her no one can in the comics .

Out of all of them I feel the most bad for Eddie he died only for the guy he that he thought he could kill come back to life, the guy he thought of as a friend and died for took his girl, and was basically forgotten
It kinda brings up the scenario of if I die would you marry someone else? Once your partners dies, there’s no “taking”. It’s not like they expected him to come back to life.
Well, Iris was never really his, to begin with. Even he knew that before dying. Besides, did he really expect Iris to mourn him forever?

@@notayoutubechannel. I'm not sure Eddie needed to be mentioned more though. It's not like he was a main character. It was heavily implied that Iris was mourning him hence she didn't date for a whole year. I personally think that was enough.
The only other arrowverse shows I watched were Arrow and Supergirl and I don’t recall any of the villains being creeps towards the female leads of those shows. I think it’s a thing specifically with The Flash. I understand Iris is gorgeous but a lot of this is creepy.

It's what happens when the hero has ONE love interest (looking at you, Oli.) Just look at the comics with Lois being the target, or Gwen (replaced by Mary Jane after The Fall)

I don't remember how much was adapted to the show, but the general idea is that he was a big fanboy before he becoming Reverse Flash, that means he obsessed not just with The Flash himself but with everything around his life, he even said it so, he wanted to BE him--- and have the things he had, the team, the wife and etc... Just imagine reading about this person your whole life, of course he would fantasize and romanticize the woman that was by his side, I guess that explains why Eobard always seemed a bit more nicer when around her (and nora, omg. saying she's like a daughter to him, holy cow.) also how proud he is when saying that she is HIS lightning rod now. It's interesting, creepy, but interesting. Great video.
Seeing eobard thawne creating a reverse flashpoint reminds me when Barry Allen created a flashpoint in the 3rd season premiere of the flash

Unpopular Opinion: I love this show but I don't like the way male characters consistently took away Iris's autonomy. I mean clearly from this video there were many times she was treated like a trophy. It reminds me of Lana Lang from Smallville or Elena Gilbert from The Vampire Diaries.
Lana absolutely had the same effect on villains but I don’t think Elena did. Klaus slapped the hell out of her just for shits and giggles. Kai mocked her when she tried to pull the doe eyes with him. She had a hold on Stefan and Damon but the villains couldn’t care less about her.

I think Thawne understood something the others didn't about Iris. Iris is the thing Barry is running to if you have Barry life you need someone to run to. Iris was the only thing thawne could think of that he could run to. Maybe we never see how nice Iris was to Thawne. Barry was actually very creepy when Iris was with Eddie and when she dated that editor. We just gave him a pass but many of the ways he behaved were not cool since Iris didn't draw boundaries and he considered Eddie a friend.
