Some good tips, though a few changes have happened since. In the PC version at least the gatherer's charm is a random drop like any other item, and when it drops for the first time I'd recommend retrieving it via the well immediately, because it enables finding potion materials which you might otherwise miss, and it could be a long time before the charm drops again. Also retrieve bottles before any items, because the well stops working after items but you can retrieve any number of bottles before that (one or two seem to drop every run).
You said to do a bunch of stuff that a new player doesn't understand. I guess I assumed instead of being told 'complete quests' I'd get told 'here's how to start quests'
It turns out that moving around isn't necessarily the best option. At the beginning its almost always necessary to move a little bit (to get scrolls and retrieve items from the well etc.), but as you continue on its best to stay still. This is because the larger crystals are the combination of 2 crystals which on their own would be worth 2 xp, however, the larger combined crystal give you 3 xp. More xp = more levels and more levels = outrageous stats
Thanks for the comment! Not sure where you got this information from, but I always believed that the exp dropped from enemies directly correlates to how difficult they are to kill...harder mobs spawn later into the game so harder mobs = more exp, not sure how standing still changes this!
Great video I did not realize some of these things despite having beaten the last boss already. The percent xp gain from quests is huge
Thanks for the comment! I'm happy to hear you got some value out of it! To be honest I didn't realise either until a friend mentioned it to me.

The well tip is key. I have dine the same thing
Subscribed! Great content. I'm pretty new to Halls of Torment and didn't know that you could banish a tree of upgrades. That is huge. Thank you.
Glad you found it useful! Yeah, it's really handy, and once you collect all the bottles I think you have up to like 5 banishes per run!
