After going through RNG manipulation for a particular TID/SID to preform the cute charm glitch, I've discovered that I actually find RNG manipulation to be pretty fun. It's both interesting and I feel empowered finally getting to use the shiny palettes that have been locked off from me for years.

Just started watching your videos today and managed to get the cute charm glitch working on my platinum copy. I didn't think to look for my secret ID before seeing your stationary pokemon video and now I'm worried there's no way to find it.
Is it possible to still find the secret ID with the RNG manipulator (or some other method)? I'm looking to manipulate the giratina on my platinum to be shiny but want to make sure I have everything I need before I get to him
Charzard king01 No, you’re fucked, it’s ok tho, you should reset the game and specifically get a TID SID that works for the shiny giratina you want for perfect ivs
@@charzardking0199 a way to find out your sid is to transfer a mon caught on the game you want to find the sid, transfer it all the way to swsh, then trade it to a sysbot that will tell you it’s sid, such as Zubot.
thanks, this was extremely helpful~ just started playing 4th gen games, and I was able to get a shiny Azelf with this info. Even Smogon left me uncertain about a ton of details about this method. I'm so glad that all of the other methods I've heard about like a useful TID/SID or whatever for effective cute charming aren't necessary to easily obtain shiny Pokemon
I can't thank you enough. You helped me with rng so much in gen 3 and now that I am in gen 4 your videos are still super helpful. Was able to get shiny Palkia in less than half an hour.
For anyone having troubles make sure you listen to your chattots carefully the game started me on frame 3 and I have no idea why but listening carefully got me my target
When I'm using the RNG Reporter, a lot of the time my coin flip results are coming up as 0
Every now and again I get a result, but if I plug the corresponding seed into the RNG reporter, the Chatot Pitches are off.
Am I doing something terribly wrong?
Solved: -The coin Flips only ever match up to like number 9 and then stops after that and when I do find coin flips that match the seed the stats of the pokemon and chatot pitchesa are off. I follow all the instructions to a T idk whats going wrong-
So my 3DS's Calibrated Delay was 260 instead of the typical 600 so when I was looking at a delay range of 50 +/- in the Seed to Time like how Blissey had his in the video. I wasnt seeing the correct coin toss or the correct seed to start adjusting my eon timer properly since I was 200 delays away or something like that. I feel like this is a problem other ppl had after reading some similar comments I hope this helps you if you got stuck this little thing took me forever to notice. but im afraid this one has me lost :+( you said your game can only hit even or odd delays depending on the year, but i hit both even after i change the year. like say im trying to get a delay of 1092, the first delay i hit might be even and then the next one will be odd...do i change the year again? do i change the year in STT *and* the ds clock or just one of them (and which one)? and if i change the year do i update the target delay in eon timer as well? im using a DSi, if that makes any difference
also, sometimes my search flips will come up with zero results, and sometimes it does give me a result but the flip sequence didn't match the one i got. when this happens i just start over without updating eon timer. im not sure why this happens or if i messed something up but is it normal?

It worked for me in a DS lite with a R4 and pokemon diamond. (just press "a" to pokemon diamond in the R4 menu 7 exact seconds before eon timer get 0)

Thanks again for the feedback! The methods are essentially just how every game generates its pokemon. Method J is exclusively Diamond, Pearl, and Platinum. Method K is exclusively Heart Gold and Soul Silver, and Method 1 is used in R/S/E, FR/LG, and D/P/Pt/HG/SS. It's a behind the scenes kind of way the game calculates how Pokemon are generated, and you just have to kind of know which Pokemon are generated by what Method. Gen 4 doesn't really use method 1 a lot, though.

I've gotten the correct seed/coinflip 4 times but shaymin does not spawn shiny or with the correct stats. the frame is 17. I have no roamers, so that would mean 16 chattot audios correct? ive done this multiple times and just cannot seem to get the correct shaymin, even with the correct seed and frame advancements. please let me know what im doing wrong.

@@robertomendoza2330 I'll add as well that you want to subtract an additional 12 frames from your target. So if your target frame is 70, you'd wanna aim for 58. This is because when you initiate battle with Giratina, you advance 12 frames.

Just a heads up - if you're plating DPPt and you have roamers, your starting frame is equal to the number of roamers. I have a Mespirit and Cresselia roaming, so my starting frame was 2.

I'm just completely mindblowned it worked, got the shiny shaymin I hunted for so long... just a recap, f it doesn't work for some of you i figured out how to make it work… I have a 3ds (old) and did another calibration, for calibrated delay I put 190, Calibrated sec 14, and the weird part is that i had to put 1 less on target sec (i should have put 10 i put 9 instead) because i Always hit my perfect delay but 1 sec off so if that happens to you just change the target sec value on eon not on RNG reporter and it should work
It worked for me, I already caught a perfect Azelf and a perfect SHINY Uxie this way in a couple of hours!

Hey dude! I've been atempting to get shiny shaymin, enabled with void glitch, and some weird stuffs are happening, most weird is the delay changing from odd to even randomly. I've gotten a lot of another legendaries (heatran, cresselia, lake trio, dialga, distortion giratina) on DPPt, but shaymin doesn't work. Does shaymin have some weird start frame like distorion giratina? Or the flower field cracks the RNG (somehow as the BDSP one gets the frames crazy)? Or even the void glitch change anything? I re-watched this video 5 times and cant seem to even come close to doing it correct. I`m trying to get shiny regigigas.
Do I click the icon that says shiny only in time finder? If I do it says my only lead pokemon can be a female with cute charm, but following this video Im using an abra with synchronize. Then the frames on the main screen dont match what I got in time finder. Nor does the frame go below 200 which is very high. Finally when I attempt the coin flip it comes up with no matched results before I even do 8 coin flips. Any ideas?
On the Time Finder, on the right side of the window, you should see a drop down box that says "All Ratios". You need to change that to "Fixed Gender" to find your shiny frames.

Distortion World Giratina
(NOT Turnback Cave Giratina)
Giratina is a Method J Pokemon. Every time the Distortion World is loaded the frame advances by 11. If you're doing advances through the Journal or Chatter your starting frame will be 23 (It will be 12 if you're advancing the frame through the Journal without accessing it from the menu, i.e. when it first appears when starting the game).
The recommended procedure would be to start the game (loading the Distortion World map once), open the menu, and do either Chatters or Journal flips as if the starting frame is 23, then engage in battle (loading the Distortion World map a second time).

I’m not sure how to help you with your frame issue but it could be getting messed with by npcs or roomers maybe? How are you hitting the seed with the emulator? I’ve really been struggling because I can’t sync eon timer and my pc clock at the same time. I’ll be off by like 3-5 delay

@@dustynlopez8421 Sorry for the late reply same as the method in the video, Method J and a bit of luck. Now in the Distortion World your frame advances by 11 everytime you load the overworld map. Starting the game and loading your save, you're already advancing to frame 11.

use RNGreporter for starters. use method 1 since starters are gift pokemon

EeveeAlchemist moving NPCs are advancing the RNG in such a complicated way that it is basically impossible to tell from counting. Therefore download a ROM of the game, a certain Lua script which tells you the current frame, memorize the exact path you took until the last cutscene before the starter find a good starter in your current frame and done.
Hi, I have a question on the rng, I have been using this method to shiny hunt rotom, however I am usually a second late or early, does the diary affect the rng and if so can you disable it in anyway
-I’m trying for a shiny Heatran. I hit the target delay of 2256 twice in a row, but both times got the wrong coin flip seed. Am I just unlucky and need to keep trying to hit 2256 until I get the right one or am I doing something wrong?-
Edit: I apparently just screwed up when trying to switch odd/even delays. Reclicking generate on both fixed that issue. It didn’t stop me from screwing up again and hitting the right seed, but advancing the frames wrong. If I’m correct, shiny Heatran is on frame 8, so I need to listen to Chatot seven times before talking to it.
I read somewhere that flipping through the journal to a page with a caught Pokémon would advance the frame by 2. The journal opens to a page saying I caught Chatot when I start the game. Does this apply here, reducing the number of times I listen to Chatot to 5?

I know im about a year late to the party, but ill get a seed i want and put it into time finder and get my delay and the first delay i get will be around 8 or so delays off what i need. For example i needed 2070 and i hit 2080 no big deal right? so i update eon timer but then i hit an odd delay like 267 or 261. ill change my date on my ds and in time finder and ill hit even delays again but then it will switch my delay again and ill have to change the time. If i update eon timer with the new delay the next coin flip sequence i get doesnt even register as an option and says it doesnt match anything. help?

I've got everything right but I can't find the correct delay it never seems to be the one I need the closet I've come was all correct but the seconds was 22 not 23. Does it sound like I've been doing something wrong?

lmao even though this video is so old it's still very helpful, took me like 2 hours to hit my delay for darkrai but after I got more comfortable with the set up it got way easier, got shiny shaymin right after doing the darkrai😂
I’ve been struggling myself. Personally I get a delay that is about 100 away from my target. Does this sound like what you went through? And if so how’d you get it to work.
it's not similar to mine, although I want to know if are you updating the eon timer? because you might want to, it may be close but not close enough, I usually keep my eon timer set when im around 10 frames away, even then it might take some fiddling with hitting the frame you want to hit@@mariorivera7969
i have chatots with chatter but i hit the right delay but the noise never matches. one of them had my recorded chatter on it when i caught it already. anything i can do to make the noise match. and I know its off, a low(3) sounded like a mid-high
I think it's because u have Mesprit that is roaming - with 1 roamers u need to substract one frame - with 2 roamers / 2 frames

This is not a ritual wtf dude, you just need a Chatot and a Pokémon with Synchronize if you care about its nature

ive tried multiple times on platinum on a ds lite with a copy of emerald in the gba slot from the same region, but no matter how accurately i hit it, when i do coin flips it will always tell me there is no match? even after doing different seeds, its the same deal, am i doing something wrong? is there something else i need to do?
ItsTitanic I think that was a glitch. You have to get a different version of the reporter
i had the same problem. Just set the delays to +-100 and the seconds to +-2, the it should work :D
hey, I'm having trouble with hitting my delay on platinum, using a 3DS, I've set it to 3DS on the EonTimer, but I always miss it by a second, and when I update, it tends to get worse, any help?

macaco3001 it's the calibration that needs to be adjusted, but I don't know whatnit is for 3ds and it can change a lot based on load times

So I am trying to go for a shiny Shaymin, I've been trying for a few days and I seem to be off somehow. I've managed to hit my seed; though I do have some issues with the eon timer hitting the 24 second mark delay instead of 23 so I had to change the time to 24 on the pokefinder and not the eon timer to hit the proper frame. I've cleared all roaming pokemon currently, so the frames should move by 1. I got the flips correct for method J, however the chatot cries I get only match method 1. Which is strange. I have tried everything I could think of. Any advice?

I’m having the exact same issue, my chariot cries seem to be a couple frames ahead, for example the cry for frame 1 matches with 3, and 2 to 4, so once I get to the cry that matches frame 6 for my frame 7 shiny, I’ve only advanced 4 frames, when I go to battle shaymin it dosent come up shiny
So I just tried doing 6 frames advanced by listening to the chat it cries 6 times even though they didn’t line up, and still was unable to get it, it also turned out my chatot cries are 1 frame ahead, so you would think one of the two would work... please im a blisey •_• send help
I'm fine with getting wrong seeds. But the problem starts when I put in those wrong seeds and their Chatot pitches don't match.

How do you do this in just a few tries? I got this to work for shiny Uxie in maybe an hour total of trying, but I just can't seem to to hit Azelf's delay. Sometimes my flip sequence isn't even in the list generated.
I really don't understand the even/odd thing. Using the same year, I've gotten both 1690 and 1691.
yeah same here, although i managed to hit the seed and delay and i advanced the frames using chatot's chatter but still not a shiny (trying to get shiny giratina in turnback cave) and tips would be appreciated.

I'm sure I was mistaken about getting both even and odd. I've gotten very good at this. I've managed to get every shiny stationary Pokemon in Platinum (except for Giratina, because I only thought to try stationary Pokemon after the fact) and Ruby.
If your seed and delay are definitely correct, the only thing I could think of is that you haven't entered your trainer ID and secret ID. And make sure you're looking at the summary one less time than the frame you need.
@@therobotchickenMLP I actually found out my mistake after i posted the first comment, i set up a specific seed but was looking at another seed (go figure). now i'm just having a hard time hitting the seed and delay -.- , more practice i guess.
@@7Sarutan7 Yeah, that happens to me a lot, request help or complain and then immediately get it.
I feel like to be more consistent with hitting your delay, you need to get a feeling for a perfectly timed press when starting the game. I don't know how long this actually takes to get a feeling for, but I started doing it somewhat recently. Using that as your reference, the burden is cut down and is mostly relegated to the second button press, when you hit continue.
If you're playing on 3DS, get into the game as soon as possible and soft reset at the end of the first set of beeps. This is because the 3DS takes a bit to actually start a DS game.

so while trying to RNG darkrai on my diamond file, i have to get an odd delay. no problem, right? well, i can't seem to change the delay of any of my Ds's which all hit even delays, even when putting an emerald cart in that is definitely real, because it transfers up pokemon. also, one of my DSs hit an odd delay, but then the attempt right after, hit an even delay. how does this work/make any sense? if someone could help, that would be greatly appreciated.

Hi did you change the Delays from 10 to 50 and Seconds 1 to 2 that was at least my problem hope I managed to help you even if its late
this used to happen to me sometimes, usually i just fucked around with putting a gen 3 game in the slot and it turned out fine

Also hitting und the right frame with shiny only activated on both menus.
Pokemon with synchronize on the first spot of my team and im hitting the right delay (The coinflips do match but the chatots dont).
But the Darkrai still wont show up as a shiny and i checked the Numbers multiple Times.

After almost 4 days of testing on turnback cave giratina i found out that i keep getting -1/+1 on the delay. i tried inserting gba game and also changing the year i still freaking get the -1/+1 on the delay. it's driving me nuts. Any tips?
still need help? I started doing this less then 24 hours ago never rng abused in my life and I already have a 6 iv ditto from trophy garden and hp ice azelf (wanted max IV's but a naive 31/30/30/31/31/31 showed up on frame 5)

No because the seed is determined by the date & time and your trainer and secret ID. The only way to make it predictable is to follow what RNG reporter sets up since it's literally looking into what the seed will spit out. You could try to use your current date and have to skip tens of thousands or frames on top of not having the correct time to the second.
I got it to work but whenever i hit the correct delay the chatot cries seem wrong
so i was targeting 1589 (23sec) in 2018 and hit 1588 (23sec) two times in a row, so i changed the year (2019) and started hitting 1589 in another second (24), did i do something wrong?
also when I change the year should I change the target frame in eon timer?

with arceus make sure your step counter is 0 and when its time just walk forward should be shiny

Does this work with the azure flute arceus in platinum?
Yes but don't bother because Gen 4 catchable Arceus is illegal in Pokebank. It won't let it through.

Hi, I'm hitting my delay , coin flips and everything and even i get the desired nature of legendary pokemon (palkia) with chatot frame advancment but its not shiny, im using cute charm id/sid and in Time Finder it says Required lead Cute charm (Female) so i have a Male cute charmer as it says in info but i hitted the desired delay 2 times and its not shiny. Is it my wrong lead with male cute charmer ? or does the cute charm ID/SID is somewhat diffrent with stationary? Would be thankful for help
Cute charm leads don't work on genderless pokemon
So i cant rng shiny stationary legendary at all with cute charm ID/SID or do i have to change my lead? the problem is when i put my ID/SID and click shiny only it shows possible seeds only with cute charm (female) lead. CUte charm ID/SID trick eliminates possiblity to rng legendary this way?
Use a Synchronise lead seed and make sure you search for the nature your pokemon with Synchronise is when searching for your seed
Cute charm only works on pokemon whose genders are not fixed. That applies to like, ONLY heatran in gen 4. If you're looking for a shiny frame clear your stats part and just click shiny only stationary and see what you get.

im struggling w the odd even delay I keep hitting 1 off even after changing the years hit 1 off in 3 different years now, was hitting evens than hit odd beside the one im aiming for
If using pokefinder, with the coin flips make sure the delays generated have the plus or minus 50 delays, mine was automatically set with plus or minus 10 delays and was giving many false positive matches
@@mrmcomics9488 it wasn’t the delay I ended up switched using a new seed and got it but I hit (example forget number) 1102 5 times in a row than 1099 twice than I hit 1102 again not sure why the odd and even switched within the same year on that one seed

How do you change the emulators time? Every time I try and reboot its automatically set to my PCs time

I hit the proper delay 2 times now, but the giratina is not shiny. Any help? I rng it in the Turnback Cave and have a cute charm game. I rng for a frame which does not require any sort of synchronize or anything alse. Does anyone know what to do? :D

I'm a bit late buuut I can't hit the right delay because the eon Timer runs down too fast when I started the game.. Even if I spam "A" I'm like 1 second behind..
then modify it, the cap can be inflated up to 60 secs

Make sure date and time are right
Make sure you kept minutes before target in mind
Make sure there are no npcs in the area - they can advance your frame
Make sure you did the frame advancements with chatot correctly (for example, if you desired frame is at 8, then listen to a chatots cry 7 times (1 less than what it says) (also you need to have a recorded cry for it)
make sure that the leader of your party is correct (cute charm (male/female)) (no required leader) (synchronize (certain nature)) also cute charm won't work for genderless pokemon or pokemon that can only be 1 gender (like kangaschan)
It might help if you tell me what your hunting (I'm assuming it's something stationary on pokemon diamond, pearl or platinum)

youll just have to find one where there is no neccesary party leader or one that requires syncronize bruh

@@xiceet go for frame 11! I was trying for frame 0 & would always hit 11. As long as you don’t move & start the encounter it should work
