Thank you for your reaction. A lot of great speeches in there. The speech from Reagan about the Challenger is one of my favorites. You should watch the whole speech though in your own time. It's very eloquent and beautifully constructed. In the later part of the speech he talks about Sir Francis Drake and compares his sacrifice to exploration to that of the Challenger team. And I don't know if you've ever seen what happened with the Challenger, but watching what happened first and then hearing the speech in full really puts things in perspective.

As I reviewed your presentation, it caused me to travel back in time. Recalling where I was and what I was doing during these Great Recorded Speeches. America with all its faults has an amazing history. People of Color have suffered unjust things. Yet, here in America no one can't deny the contributions that were made, were made by all the people. I imagine that some may have a problem with my texting that I feel people of color have made the most contributions. Some of these individuals were robbed of their inventions and credit was unjustly given to non-people of Color. My father-in-law experienced such a thing. He as a Military personnel, invented things, yet his white superior took credit for it and was given advancement. Thankfully, this man didn't steal all of my father-in-law's inventions and my father-in-law got credit for those inventions. I saw the military papers for them. One day while I was cleaning, I heard this on the radio, it was announced that the Military was retiring this specific equipment. It was being replaced by an updated technology. It was announced the inventor was my father-in-law. I was so excited to hear my father-in-law's name connected to this report. Diversity of people produces an increase of creativity, and people whose thoughts can generate talks of influential "Speeches" can make and bring "change". Gorbachev was given this challenge in a speech given by President Reagan to "Tear Down This Wall"! That speech produced such an influence which brought that wall down. In all the Speeches I heard they all centered around encouraging change and how words can produce change. These are the ingredients that gives legs to change. May the influence of words ever make us ready to become heroic for the people of humanity everywhere!

These are really great speeches. Whoever chose them made good choices. Even former President Nixon, who resigned because of his criminal acts obstructing justice, chose to resign rather than face impeachment and removal from office. It was best for him and best for our nation. All the others were great men, even Ronald Reagan, whom I hated and still despise. I remember well Lyndon Johnson, Martin Luther King, Robert Kennedy, and the others going forward. I am not old enough to remember John F. Kennedy.

General Eisenhower was a Great General and a Great President! Like many Military/Political Leaders, I've not heard one proclaim that they liked being the Political Head, greater than the Military Head. General Eisenhower even balanced the Country's proverbial checkbook, for goodness sake! If I remember correctly, he was the last President to do so. He was an extraordinary human being, that doesn't get mentioned enough these days. I have always loved this one, sort of tongue-in-cheek, quote from him. Lol.....

Kudos to you for attempting this. It is difficult to understand much of this if you don't have the historical context and a grasp of US government.
For instance, you probably were taught that Russia was an ally of the US during WW2. Actually they were war criminals for what they did in Poland and many of the countries in Eastern Europe. They cooperated with Germany in the invasion of Poland and only switched sides when Germany double crossed them. Many here in the US don't realize this and Im sure its not really taught in Soviet/ Russian Federation schools as well.

I remember these speeches in real time. I was teenager in the 60s. For one instance I heard about JFK assassination when I was leaving my school in first year in highschool. I remember as if it was yesterday how shocked we all were. In disbelieve. Fast forward to 2009 when I visited Washington DC and went to Arlington national cemetery. I stood in front where President JFK is buried and remember how awed I felt inside. . The times of the 60s we lost some great people to assassinations.

Strange how this started with the 20th century, not the very famous sayings prior to 1900. It must either be political, or they just don’t teach American history that far back any longer. Academia is screwed throughout the education system. Our founding fathers had some extremely brave, intelligent, quotes. Today’s politically correct society is anything but correct, or brave. With each generation, we become weaker, greedier, and more decadent, unwilling to sacrifice all for freedom. Hell, today’s generations don’t even understand what freedom is, let alone they be willing to sacrifice anything at all, yet seek free handouts as a career. Labor is a four letter word these days. This is why the global elites are making their move. They designed it over not decades, but centuries, too reach this point of social, and academic ignorance, and unwillingness to sacrifice for their own freedom. Homegrown slave mentality.

Alexander Hamilton, said something long ago, that has become one of my most favorite quotes. It really drives home the fact, of what will come to pass and the risks of what Obama set out to do.....
