OMG WHAT AMAZING TIMING!!! I have fude eyeshadow brushes, but I’ve just started venturing into face brushes. I’ve started a list and have been watching face brush fude videos for the past few weeks… Now I get a Sofia style brush video??!! I don’t know what I did to deserve this goodness, but I’m so happy! I’m kicking back and ready to take notes!
I love watching Fude videos even if it's on brushes I already own or info I'm familiar with. So, I'd love seeing more of these! Also...I'm obsessed with collecting different hair types and red squirrel is the one left on my list. I didn't know there was a Tanseido one available. Interesting!
I have been doing incessant brush research for the past 6 weeks, and here you come with this wealth of information (and better prices than what I was looking at), at the perfect time. Thank you Sofia. This video was incredibly helpful. Using your links for my purchase 😉
Thank you so much for your video. I ordered four Chikuhodo silver fox brushes (5,7,8 and 10). They are sooooo soft and at the same time precisely to work with them. Love love love! But I was a little bit afraid of buying a powder or cheek brush. Now your. Video arrived at the right time. Thank you. Love to hear more about those wonderful brushes from fudge. 😍
I’m going to Osaka in August. Buying fude brushes is on my shopping list. I hope I find a variety of beautiful brushes. Thanks for this video it is very helpful. And if all fails, thanks for the discount code.
@@eileen5428that would be a dream. I saw a video Michele Wang did few years ago where she did go to a factory. Unfortunately, I am going with my naughty & impatient toddler son 😅 so I hope my search will be a success!
So I put a bunch of brushes on a holiday wish list but went ahead and bought the Koyudo Monochrome Cheek Brush because there were only so many available. The one I got just arrived and it’s so soft. Omg! I haven’t washed it and used it yet, but I already used your link to buy another in the other handle color still available. I already know I love it.
I first found your channel when searching fude reviews for face brushes. After enjoying Wayne Goss and Sonia G eye brushes for years, I was ready to dive into face brushes. I remember thinking how expensive those Koyudo Kakishibuzomi cheek brushes were at the time, and my gosh, now I have many of the brushes you featured in this video. 💸 I don’t have any red squirrel in my collection, so I think that will have to be my next investment! 🇯🇵
This is such a great video. Taking the guess work out of buying Japanese Fude. I have mostly Sonia G brushes, but I’m ready to branch out! Great info here!! Thanks!!!! ❤
Great video. Is it too late to ask which Fude you would recommend for a pressed finishing powder (I use hourglass ambient FP). Many thanks. Happy to splash out on this one so whichever is your favourite
Oh, Sofia, may I make a suggestion, or idea, for a future video, please? Suggested brushes for ranges of eyeshadows. For instance, what brushes work best for Chanel eye quads, which work best for Chantecaille duos, or which bring out the best of Tom Ford's wet/dry formula? We spend a fortune on these eye palettes, yet we may be doing our palettes a massive injustice by using the less effective brushes.
Great info Sophia i do like very light makeup, so i think those squirrel ones, i believe with LE handle i need. They are more rounded. And i already have more flat one, i cant remember which one, it has orange handle and was quite pricey 🤪 but i love to use for blush. And sometimes bronzer, but for bronzer i would like more round brush . And i do need that big lat squirrel hair eyeshadow brush as well. Have a blessed day🙏💗
aaaah,,, that fude beauty ... I have gone down that rabbit hole for the last 2 years.... More youtubers should talk about fude brushes... They are a joy to use... but... just prepare to spend your money... ❤😂 Like this vid,,,
Excellent video thank you for this! ❤. Can I please ask, how do you care for the natural bristled brushes that you use with liquid foundation? Do you wash every time? Thanks again!
Thank you!! For the foundation brushes specifically I’ll use a liquid soap from Ecotools because it’s a little better at cleaning off all the oil based makeup
Excellent overview! I just love watching videos about brushes. I have some more on my wishlist now! I have been eyeing the z series contour brush wondering if it could be a little buffer that is maybe softer than the Sonia G ones? I love love love my z2 and z4 brushes:)
Another through review and thank you for that! But I’m confused by all these foreign names and it would be SO HELPFUL if in the future you could put the brand name and brush name on the screen when discussing it. ❤🇯🇵
I love really love this concept of brushes. Very thorough description of the bristles and the difference between them. Still is it difficult to choose so I will see this video for the second time tomorrow. I discover that the fudge site is cheaper than beautifies h and even with the cart event it is not as cheap. But with both there will be tax coming to pay. That is always a sad thing. Bye Mirjam
What a super helpful review and thorough walkthrough of these beautiful works of art. Already overwhelmed by the variety and ugh.. what to buy. May start small and ease my way into them.. but so excited to have some of these luxurious brushes. Am curious which of the brands have ‘ethical practices’ even though these are animal hairs.. ay ideas? Thanks for the great video 🎟️💸
My pleasure! Yes don’t feel overwhelmed it’s ok to start small! I would recommend emailing Fude Beauty directly to learn more about the production process. At the end of the day if they are using animal products of course it’s not vegan
I’m so jealous. I need soft brushes for face. I only have 3 Sonia G. (She gifted me three ). Yes. She liked my post. I love them. I have rephr. I need face and more shadow
Hello 👋 thank you for your video. I’m getting started in fude and wondering- can I use the z1 for setting powder? To apply lose setting powder straight after liquid foundation and concealer to set it? I hope to get an answer 🤞
Thank you so much for this video. I’m just getting in to Fude brushes and this is such a wealth of information. Do you know how long Fude brushes last compared to BK Beauty or Sonia G or Rephr? Thanks again!
Your hair is perfection today! What did you use to curl it? And BTW - when are you going to start spotlighting those nail designs? Maybe I missed it but I’d like to know what your nail tech does to get such amazing looks.
Thank you Shanee! I just use a curling wand. One of those ones that is tapered at the end. My nail tech does dip manicures and then she uses gel to hand paint the designs!
@sofia I noticed that you have used both Koyudo F03 Fu-Pa02 and Bisyodo B-FD-01 Foundation Brush Long Series (Saikoho) and I'm torn about which one to buy so thought I'd check in with you to see which out of the 2 brushes would you recommend?
Would you say you’ve found a good Mac 217 equivalent from the Fude world? I’ve noticed that’s it’s tough to find brushes with longer handles that help make the 217 so helpful.
I think the Hakuhodo J5523 is very similar to the MAC 217. You can google that comparison and see how close they are. Also Sonia G compares her worker brushes to the 217. I think the new fundamentals worker M is quite close I also really like the worker pro because it’s a bit more precise. If you really want a special brush Hakuhodo makes a G5523A brush that is a similar shape but a squirrel and goat blend. She’s a dreamy brush and you can find it at Fude Japan.
I love/hate watching fude videos. I love the brushes, I love learning more about them but my wallet hates it. I have a seven piece Chikuhodo fox series, I have a few fusion brushes and a pretty extensive selection of rephr brushes but I get so caught up in the beauty and ethos of fude that I almost bought a $400.00 powder blush. I don’t want brushes so expensive that I won’t use them. Thank you for this.

Wonderful! I am so glad to hear that ^_^
Thank you so much for this amazing and in depth video! I’ve been collecting Fude brushes for years now and I’m always adding to my collection! 🇯🇵
You are so welcome!
🇯🇵 like that red brush you got for new lunar year
I love that one!

Oh goodyyyy. It’s such a nice brush. I owe it to the Fude Beauty team for their recommendation
I love this video. I'm collecting brushes too. I love FUDE beauty! I saved this video for reference! Thank you.
I bought the Koyudo Bisyoda powder brush last week, so excited!🎌
Oooo yay!

This is such a great video. Taking the guess work out of buying Japanese Fude.

What a fabulous video. So insightful and I’m going to watch again before I decide on my brush purchases. ❤

I’m waiting for the Chikuhodo zodiac design this year, the tiger was adorable but the dragon is gonna have to be astounding I can’t wait!
Oooo that’s gonna be SO cuuute 😜
I’m afraid I’m falling down the rabbit hole of Japanese Fude! My wallet says ouch! ❤
Welcome to the obsession :D
🇯🇵 thank you! This is a great video, I really enjoy fude makeup brushes and love learning more about the different brushes!

I am so glad! To be honest, I have yet to throw out a single fude brush. They last so well. Even my family members who have fewer brushes agree

YES!!!! Sonia G brushes are Fude. I have a lot of her brushes and they are exquisitely made and luxurious. 😍
Yes! They are Fude as well. They are only found at Beautylish however. I’ll be making more brush videos for Sonia G brushes 👌
The prices are in yen, will it automatically convert to dollars?
There's a drop down bar where you can put prices in dollars. On my laptop, it's on the top left.
You can select your country!
