- Hope you enjoy my first ever car wash video shot in 100% 60fps (watch in HD)! For years, I drove by this run-down gas station on the corner of Olive St and Compton Ave and looked at a boarded up car wash bay, wondering what system used to be in there. To my surprise, I recently drove by and noticed they put in a brand new car wash. Even better, it turned out to be a D&S IQ - a wash I've been trying to find for ages.

The D&S IQ Soft Touch seems to be really taking off. This particular machine is the 11th unit installed. Many car dealers in the St. Louis area are also using IQs.
If you are ever able to go to House Springs, the first touchless IQ is located there at the strangely-named Chubby's Car Wash.
I was just at a Washworld Razor earlier today and it too has that "Please Drive Forward" voice. Really gets old xD
Believe it or not, there is a car wash up the street from my house that has one of these D&S IQ's. The car wash has a complicated history though. It was originally a Super Wash franchise that was on its site, then the owner changed the name to "Precision Auto Wash". The car wash itself was getting old and worn, and then the car wash was sold in 2011-2012. The old car wash building was demolished, and a new one, called "Power Wash" sprang up in its place. The new car wash has two touch-free bays, a soft-touch bay, and four manual bays. The touch-free bays have new D&S i5000s, the soft-touch bay used to have a D&S Odyssey, until they replaced it last year with a brand-new D&S IQ. I will agree that the announcements on the machine are kind of annoying, but it does a much better job and doesn't shake the car as much as the old machine did!

Yes, there is a Louisville Ky cardinals for college football, a pro football team in Phoenix for NFL, and an MLB team for St. Louis called the Cardinals as well, and since Elevator Channel operates out of the St. Louis area, and all the other teams are St. Louis area teams, it means the St. Louis MLB team.

Huh, looks like according to streetview it seems to have maybe been open around 2007, but I can't tell what's in the bay. Too low-res. It looked kinda like it was either a touch-free or it just wasn't boarded up yet and the brushes were gone, however.

2021 Update: This car wash has been removed and the wash bay is empty
Clearly this car wash location has been abused. Used to have a D&S 5000 in 2007 or something, then boarded up forever to then become this system, and now back at square 1

I like the Tandem made by PDQ. The Softgloss models made by Ryko are okay.
