  • Exploring Cushendun Co Antrim (long video! )
This is a full look at our exploration of the small co Antrim coastal village of Cushendun. Although it is small there is a lot to it, history, folklore, churches, architecture, beaches a castle, the river dun runs through it and of course the fascinating, volcanic formed, network of caves that featured in the Game of Thrones.
    Cushendun Co Antrim
Lies on the scenic Antrim coast road about 50 miles north of Belfast. It is part of Causeway Coast and Glens district.
In 2001 it had a population of 138 people.

Really enjoyed that tour Tom. We spent a couple of holidays in Cushendun, in a friends caravan. I went to a morning service in the CoI Church, which was just along from the caravan Park. Didn’t know about the caves. 😊

A really relaxing wee spot Joan. the Cof Ir. church is now closed and is a community centre. We had a great time exploring! The Fuldiew Stone story, was fascinating.

Did you know through those caves is a house once lived in by the Crommelin family.
Was for sale last i heard.
Lord Cushendun is buried in the C.O.I. graveyard.
He lived in Glenmona Lodge in your video though that's not the original house as it was burned, i think in 1921.
