Hey Knute: I've moved to Spokane; we communicated some years ago about how your programs weren't recordable due to KCTS not listing them on Comcast's schedule. I doubt you recall; my point is that one of the deprivations I've been feeling is that my new local PBS channel, KSPS, doesn't seem to carry your shows at all. Please do some PR and get them on over here. Even though you're SEATTLE'S Historian Laureate, you actually cover the whole state so come on Knute's marketing team! Get with it. For now, I just subscribed to your channel and I'm grateful I can catch up with the 18 months I've missed since moving here. You're the greatest historian of Seattle since Clarence Bagley. I love your persona, wit, and depth of knowledge. Thanks again for this channel.

A great remembrance Knute! My dad played a lot of the Seattle clubs and hotels back in the day. I fondly remember (as a kid) many of his stories about frequenting the Jackson Street scene in the late 1940s (after returning from WWII) and early 1950s. Ironically, my dad was white and an accordion player at that! He loved the scene and they loved him. Often, he'd sit in for a few tunes and I recall his fond remembrances of clubs like the Black & Tan, Ernestine Anderson, several others, and the good times they had making music.
may have even influenced Nirvana and rock and roll, Elvis to the Rolling stones I see Kurt Cobain Jammin on Jackson Street! Music is color blind thank you ALL stay safe
