The most obvious ones are 2001 and The Matrix, but did anyone else think the boardroom scene was an homage to Hudsucker Proxy? It felt deliberate and almost like a deeper cut Easter egg for fans of that film.

Really enjoyed watching Greta explain how she's brought elements of each film into Barbie, and I really love how engaging Mia was! Felt like I was watching two friends bond over movies, what a great interview

I'm broke but I still gonna watch it in theaters dressed in pink, I just have to.
what a nice conversation on a beautiful set between two passionate and intelligent women
Greta Gerwig is in the zone! Can't wait to watch Barbie.
The Barbie backstory is really incredible, knowing that Margot tapped Greta to write and direct along with Greta's immense appreciation for classic cinema and morphing it all into this movie is so amazing. Makes the movie that much more special. I love that Greta is making strides with the success of this movie and the ones she's done before. It's so inspiring!
I'm even more excited for Barbie now and have a bunch of new old movies added to my watch list🤩
Greta has become one of my favorite directors of all time! 💗and the interviewer is so adorable, I really loved the dynamic between them. great video
Loving this interview, I'm learning so much
Really enjoyed watching Greta explain how she's brought elements of each film into Barbie, and I really love how engaging Mia was! Felt like I was watching two friends bond over movies, what a great interview
Peter Weir might be our most underrated director. So cool of him to advise Greta
She is just so brilliant. The inspiration itself is enough proof of how good the movie will be.
Wow this is by far the best interview I’ve seen about movies. The interviewer is so good, she’s a cinephile, no doubt.
so happy for Mia, this interview is great!!
The edit on this video is lowkey great
The opening scene had me hysterical. It was so perfect.
I have mentioned Singing in the Rain a few times when discussing Barbie. It's one of my favorites of all time. Love Cary Grant as well.
I love her taste, I love her work, I love hearing her talk about these great films! I'll have to give Umbrellas of Cherbourg a rewatch. I love her term "authentic artificiality"
Just watched The Truman Show for the first time in a long time….it’s been haunting me all week.
