    I went to Stillwater for this game. Had a great time. I must say there is some genuine beef brewing between our two programs. I think we need to work on growing this rivalry. I have an organic hatred for them, while not to the same extent as our in-state foes, but there's something here. Things were chippy in the stance once I busted out my Texas Tech flag.

    I really wanted a 9-3 season and it was totally possible. 8-4 is still a good step in the right direction.
    Need to improve the O-Line and D-Line. I know they won’t send Morton walking but I at least want a legit QB battle in the off season. Hammond has a higher ceiling than Morton. We’ve seen his already.

    I can’t stop thinking about the fumble in TCU. I very much believe if you had the ball to Brooks you are playing in Arlington.

      It was absolutely brutal. I got to see it in person and had to eat some serious crow after playfully trash talking the horned fans around me most of the game.

      That play and that game unfortunately is the pivot point of this season emotionally and big 12 standings.

    So much better watching this wonderful podcast after a W! Captain Obvious here but also spend some NIL on pass rushers and O-line.

      Hard to argue against that. But I think the biggest thing is his situational play calling. Whether it's on fourth down or 3rd and short or third and goal at the one. I always completely disagree with running in the shotgun when you need an inch. The screen passes disappeared against Oklahoma State. Seemed like a lot of play calls was completely reliant on the player making the play rather than putting a player in a position to confuse the defense. We have some highly skilled skilled players like Josh Kelly and Tahj Brooks. Then also when people have been harping on someone. It's a damned if you do damned if you dumb situation. You're going to get critiqued on everything.

      The reason why people are mad at kittley spans a few seasons and for these reasons:
      1. He didn’t discover Tahj until halfway through last season
      2. He’ll have great play calls the first 2 series where it’s scripted and he made the list of his first 2 series during the week leading to the game.
      3. After the script is over he struggles and the lead disappears quickly.
      4. He relies on his player being better than making a call that puts the player in the best position ie hitch screens and all verts
      5. He draws up too many trick plays, usually twice a game. They have worked maybe 20% of the time.
      6. If tech leads the conference in points then there should be more wins. I know defense has given up a lot but too often tech goes 3 and out or for it on 4th and forces the defense into bad situations

    Man, that defense, whew. Tech may have to hang half a hundred to get a win this weekend too. Yikes. Yeah, it would have been great for Tech b-ball to get 2 wins last week, but the most important thing to me, is that Tech got a lot better. In that second game, I think Toppin was gassed from the night before. Luckily, there won't be anymore back to back scenarios for a while. He really doesn't have a lot of support. It doesn't look like Federiko is going to offer a lot of relief. The lack of physicality of the team could really become a problem in the conference death march. Hope I'm wrong.

      @@thechristianblogger1052 Guy, I think you might not be seeing things right. toppings? Toppins is a thin 6'9", maybe. They're going to be going against teams starting multiple players as big or bigger than him. They might be bringing another one or two off the bench as well. I'm talking about having to guard and rebound against that kind of size every night. Williams is 6'6" and the rest of the starters are that size or smaller. Federiko is only going to be there for a few minutes at a time and who knows when Yalaho is going to play and what he can contribute. Toppins is outnumbered.

      @theycallmehoipilloi1867 13 วันที่ผ่านมา

      @@thechristianblogger1052 No!!! I'm concentrating on everyone else besides him!!! And it's Toppins with a capital T. A team full of guys that are 6'6" or smaller and yes they're good, going up against a conference full of teams that are incredibly big and physical and also good. Colorado for example, starts 4 guys that are 6'8" or bigger and that's just the starters and they're also good. Arizona is freaking huge for another example and they're also good. Sure Williams is the best player on the team, no doubt. But night after night, it's going to be a war and does Tech have the overall physicality, depth wise, to stand up to it? That's the question.

    Very much NOT still dreaming about this team making the title game. Yes we’ve over-performed in some games, but we’ve also been blown out and embarrassed too many times and if that were to happen in the B12 championship, the big 12 (and Tech) would look like even more of a joke on the national stage. Hoping for B12 titles in years to come but this year we just have no business being there

      @LockedOnTexasTech if it hasn't been a secret, then why is Deruter still employed? Big time real programs fire coaches mid season every year. Tech is so used to bad defense it's like they don't care? Fire someone and get people's attention.

    • @ExplorinInTheWoods
      @ExplorinInTheWoods 10 วันที่ผ่านมา

      @@jerryfoster3191if you look at the defense yes 100% they have given up points and deserve criticism but watching the games and not just box score defense has made more game winning plays like OSU Arizona and Arizona state than offense has. The offense has not helped the defense at all with all of the 3 and outs and basically not scoring after the first two drives. The defense works with less talent and skill than the offense. The top defensive players in Rodriguez, Roberts, Baskerville and Lux have done more this year than our top offensive guys outside of brooks.

  • @kayakyakyakr

    Was playing with a calculator. All 4 have to lose and either Baylor has to lose or Baylor and TCU must win.
    With a win, Tech will finish between 2nd and 9th. Lose and Tech will finish 9th or 10th.
    Going to be interesting to see if the committee takes a 3 loss SEC school or a 10 win Big xii or ACC school.
    And finally, there is a real risk that the big xii is out completely: if chaos happens, watch out for Tulane out of the AAC to take the 5th championship spot.

      Fans who want to fire Joey are a cancer to this program and future success. The best we've seen since Leach and finally have the stability to build on, but some people want to start all over because we haven't won a conference championship in the 3 years he's been here, something Leach didn't do the 10 years he was here.

    I used to work for a boss that was the master of the shell game. Follow the ball. Is it here or under here. He would start each year showing how in the long run if we stayed. Were loyal and worked hard in the long run we would make more money than our competitors in the industry. He retired and i never found the red ball. when the new guy came in and froze salaries so he could recruit new workers. Yall are playing joeys shell game for him. He is a master shell game player. We are what we are. Mediocre. From top(admin) to bottom(coaches). We have players that are gold but not enough. Good luck tahj. Thanks for a great career. The shell game will continue. But you my friend were so fun to watch. Happy senior day.
