We are snowed in! We got 14 inches of snow in 16 hours! Everything is closed for a couple days. We are grateful to still have power. I would love to see all blushes. Sending prayers for your surgery. Happy early Birthday. Have a wonderful week ❌️ ⭕️
Thanks so much Lisa, I appreciate the prayers and well wishes. You're the reason I picked up so many blushes. You mentioned that you're a blush hussy recently, and I might use that as my video title for the blush video. : ) I'm glad you still have power despite being snowed in. Get some rest and enjoy the blanket of white.
Thanks so much Leslie. I need to shop my stash more frequently. I have some great things in my collection, and shopping my stash helps to remind me of what I have and gives me the opportunity to enjoy it.
Yes please, to the blush only video. I can’t wait to see what you think of the new Clinique highlighter. Sending prayers and well wishes for a speedy recovery. ❤️🩹
@@shannonevans2875 thanks so much for the prayers Shannon, I really appreciate it. I like the Clinique highlight, but I've only tried it once. I'll have to check back after several weeks.
Sending you so much love and positive energy! I hope it is successful, you recover at the speed you want, you get lots of care, comfort, and restorative naps, and that your birthday brings you all the new makeup you want. ❤
Thanks so much Vanessa. I don't think I'll get much new makeup for my birthday, but I might pick up a few new things for myself. I'm planning on slowing down this month, and really letting my body tell me when I'm ready to get back to regular life.
Ooh, it's nice to find a shade twin online. I'm so glad mine is Kackie from Kackie Reviews Beauty. She buys and tries almost everything I'm interested in. Then I know which shade to purchase. I'm glad that you can "peruse" my collection in this type of video and see what you're interested in. : )
The best of health to you and Happy New Year. I organize my makeup by season and I have out colors for this month and for February: four lipsticks; six eye shadow colors and two blushes.
Thanks so much for the well wishes. I would love to have a smaller collection. I miss having a small handful of shades to make getting ready easier. Thanks for watching today.
Prayers and wishes for successful surgery and speedy recovery! A few times a month I recycle stuff from my stash to my makeup bag ..not really seasonally just trying to get things moving in and out of rotation.😊
@@carolynpritchard9827 thanks for the prayers, I really appreciate it. I might need to start swapping out my stuff more frequently. Twice a month sounds great!
Sending lots of love and comfort for your healing 💕, I choose my go to makeup seasonally since where I live winters are decently cold and my skin can get normal to dry from the wind cold and indoor heating and summers are hot and humid and I get normal to combination skin so I use a different primers, foundations and powders by seasons I also tend to reach for different blushes lipsticks and eyeshadow palettes by season as well but things like mascara eyeliners and lip liners I have the same everyday favorites that never change unless i specifically want to try a new product 😀
Thanks so much Meg. I really appreciate it. I hope to be back on my feet sometime soon. I love going through my collection and pulling things based on recent habits (easy eye looks, or balms instead of lipsticks) and thinking about the seasons. Strangely enough it's not very cold here this winter. I don't know if that will change, but it still feels like fall weather. I could use a good snow storm to remind me that it's winter. The warmer than normal weather has been better on my skin. I don't need heavy moisturizers yet . . . Thanks for watching and sharing how you use your collection.
@@thelipstickgal oh I know this winter has been up and down a lot for us the real cold has only really set in in the last couple weeks or at least real cold for us in NC 😆
Nancy, I'm not sure I have many blushes that have radiance without shimmer. My favorites are the RMS powder blushes, the EM Cosmetics Heaven's Glow blushes and the Hourglass ambient lighting blushes. They all have radiance with a touch of shimmer. They're not heavy shimmer, but there's a lovely glow to them. I'm not sure that Hourglass still makes the baked blushes, but I have so many that I love and reach for.
I love having a focused place for my daily makeup, but also give myself permission to pull whatever catches my fancy from the rest of my collection. Thanks so much for watching today.
Wishing you a successful surgery with a speedy recovery! See you back here on the other side. I need to be more mindful about finding something that’s almost done and using it up. I recently went through and tossed stuff that was liquid and really old.

Thanks so much for the well wishes and birthday wishes. I'm not sure if I'll be back on my feet by my birthday, but I hope to be feeling much better over all. When it comes to seasonal makeup, all bets are off in summer for me too!
Wishing you all the best! To the question of everyday makeup drawer, I don’t really have that, all my makeup is ordered by colour because I always match my closing. And of course those colours are often seasonal somehow so depending on that they might move up in the drawer but still I just grab the boxes with e.g all peach makeup and switch those to another drawer higher up, but that is about it. Also I try to look at those whenever I’m tempted to buy more of this colour 😅😅😅
Thanks so much for the well wishes. I wish I thought about my stash more when I am in purchasing mode. I tend to think about what I would want, as opposed to what I already have. I love the idea of keeping all my coral makeup in one place. That way I know what I'm looking for just by opening a drawer. I tend to remember the shade by the name on the package. I have a memory that's oddly good at remembering names and colors of makeup.
@@thelipstickgal very useful for reviews to have such a good memory. My makeup "collection" lives in a 11" x 6" caddy. I don't have much, but then I don't wear makeup often, mostly just tinted lip balm, mascara, eye pencil, powder, and blush. I sincerely hope your surgery is successful with a quick recovery. Edited to add: Happy Birthday!

I'm recovering from flu that's hit uk but do try to put on some makeup as it makes me feel better. Perhaps you could just wear a bright lipstick to help you feel better after Yr surgery. Keep calm
Thanks so much Mags! I usually only take lipstick with me when I have surgery. I'm not allowed to wear skincare, makeup or lotion of any kind before hand, and I feel like a dry, crusty reptile. After surgery, my husband knows to break out all the lotions and potions to help me hydrate in my hospital room. I love keeping most of my corals and pinks for spring, but sometimes I reach for one just to have a pop of color that isn't a red. I love a bright, hot pink lip or a coral shade to brighten my face without reaching for my favorite red lippie.
I got the new Lisa concealer pen yesterday and I got the black coffee eyeliner to try really wanted that green bag lol I hope the shade 2 is okay 1 looked really light 🤍🤍🤍 love this yes to blushes!!!
I'll have to see if shade 1 isn't too light for me. I ordered so quickly, I couldn't help myself. I hope it works really well for me. I like the black coffee liner shade, but it's very creamy, and needs to be set with powder for it to stay and not smudge. I'll work on the blush video.
