That thing is going to be awesome when it's done, I remember in late 70's?, early 80's?, MPC had a kit of this car, the casting was crude at best, I still have the engine from it in the closet, I used it for a short 57 Nomad that I also still have in pieces, man I used to have all sorts of patience back then to build models, it's sad that I have a bunch of unbuilt ones, maybe one day I'll dig one out and try to build again!
I just bought this kit,,,,just don't like the roof line on this. I watched this video And although I won't be building the Milner coupe, It changed my perspective of this kit! Thanks!
i really love how this chops wasn’t to bad to where u had to cut the roof in half like some cars cause i have this kit and want to chop it some thanks for the video
Amazing body work great eye for detail! But (not to be mean), didn't both AMT and MPC make an American Graffiti kit? Or are they both no longer in production?
Who made the original body, before your chop,? I would imagine it was stock Ford height and width.. was there any steel reinforcement,? You would have to cut and weld that too, It'll get pretty hot next to the fiberglass.
You car guys...Pure art,man you're tight, mixed media, joy to watch. That's before the paint. Mint.
Awesome work on this chop! Thank you for sharing.
Thanks for this video. I just picked up the same Revell kit today, and have started on my version of a Milner-inspired Deuce.

Outstanding work! I still hope, that one day they will rerelease Milner’s coupe, and drag car.
Absolutely Perfect Looking "CHOP" Job Sir, Have a Blessed Week.

I've got a 32' five window kit body that's already got the top chopped, it was made that way I won't need to chop it
Thanks for sharing.
Unbelievable. Wow. What a pro.
Nice video, the original car was chopped 4 1/2 inches.
I'm working on this kit, and I saw that you painted the roof,I was going to use masking tape- do you recommend this?
Amazing build thanks for the tips. I just subbed to your channel.

Beautiful job! I think the chop on the original coupe was 2 inches. 👍
Hello super cool 🖒🖒🖒

U can buy a metal 1/18 of this coupe
I'm more of the "Built, not Bought" crowd...
Revell also made a 1/25 scale diecast kit and built version but it has a seam between the top and body that bothers me.
Should have used thr correct flathead V8. Just saying. Looks good 👍
The movie car had a small block Chevy.
