2:02 The Logical choice for the air force is give the B747-8B5s the E-4C designation treating it in line as the original E-4B extension like how the Transaero B747-8s became VC-25Bs. If you are wondering what is the nose section used for on E-4s it's actually the bedroom for Secretary of Defense. 2:56 since you live in Detroit how would you try flying the B747-8B5s before being turned into E-4Cs. If you want to a domestic Eastern Time Zone flight Detroit to Atlanta or Detroit to JFK then the B747-8B5s JFK case has to be winter time for KE086/082 to be B747-8B5s otherwise you will be getting A380 KE082 B747-8B5s KE086.
Yes, very true indeed! Also, the Aviation Geek in me is glad that they stuck with the 747! Even though the 747-8 wasn’t the huge success. Everyone had hoped it would be. I still think it’s a beautiful plane and we will make a beautiful successor for the E-4B and I’m glad the E-4C and VC-25B that the B747 at least as VIP transports or special mission military jets will continue to fly through the skies of the United States for decades to come! Cheers 🥂 my friend! Also, I didn’t know that’s where the bedroom was I thought it was located in the middle section of the plan where it’s widest and biggest like it on the VC-25A and will continue to be located in the VC-25B! Finally, yes, I do hope to try the Korean Air 747-8 before they are all retired so if more people keep subscribing to my channel and liking my videos, I’ll make it happen! 🤪 However, I will be flying with Lufthansa 🇩🇪on their 747-8 UPSTAIRS in Business Class and also in the Nose on the 747-400 from Chicago and back to YYZ 🇨🇦 you won’t want to miss those videos so keep an eye out. Also, my new video of the Brazilian aviation museum comes out soon too.
LOOKS FABULOUS! Can’t wait to see the new 747s fly for the USAF! 🇺🇸
Cheers my friend!
