THANK YOU MotorWeek for bringing back some basic's like the "As Tested" price of the version you are showcasing. Especially when the base price is $95k but the tester we are gauking at is $30k more.
These were the last of the gorgeous big BMWs. I rented one as the getaway car for my wedding. Truly a statement car and a visual art piece. This and the e38 were the best looking 7s imo
bro i sat in one at an uber event in NYC. the driver was nice enough to take us around acouple blocks...this thing is smooth as butter man. imma s class fan but im still young and this is a ballers machine. i really feel like the s class is for older successful grey headed men. this right here? its official
on the 7 if you opt to not get the spare because they all have fun flats by default anyway you have a significant more amount of trunk space! also if you did get the spare it Can be removed easily by the owner certified BMW Genius BMW Gallery Norwood Massachusetts
People get scared when they see constant price increases. The thing is, car manufacturers are dealing with inflation of worthless money flooding in. I remember when the 7-SERIES cost no more than $65,000 fully loaded, which today will cost double. Wages for some haven't increased, but prices keep going up. Next, I hate how BMW took pieces of technology that DIDN'T WORK, from Cadillac, and put it in their flagship. Touch controls? Pathetic. BMW made is easy for Mercedes to dominate the market. Luxury isn't about gadgets and crap, its about easy to use technology. Simple buttons and switches in the S-Class.. but still packed with technology.
so let me get this straight, Ford Focus RS can produce 350 horsepower from a 4 cylinder single turbo and BMW with a V8 and two turbos can only produce 90 horsepower more.. That will only last about 50k miles b4 engine failure
EuroSpeed What? Twin turbo cars only last 50k? Wtf are you talking about? That was about the most ignorant statement I've read all day on TH-cam. And boy there are some stupid comments out there under these videos
Yeah, but Focus RS blows head gaskets like the wind blows leaves, so you can't forget to consider how much a power plant is stressed by the amount of.power that it's "forced" to make ( especially considering the method of aspiration ). Though complicated, the BMW v8 is hardly stressed while making the power it makes, unlike the Ford, which is impressive, but which is also highly taxed to achieve such an output (forced output reliability destroyed).
This level of automobile is for those where money is no object BECAUSE, WHEN something malfunctions on this thing and needs a repair, expect a bill the size of one months mortgage on a nice, single family home.
If you have the money to buy this car then you can afford the repairs too. Or a much more likely scenario would be that you only keep this car for 1-3 years and get rid of it before the warranty expires.
I think I'll just stop buying new cars. They are all becoming electronic nightmares anyway. Not to mention what a field day new cars are for hackers. Think I'll find myself a '78 Cressida and call it a day.
The white paint with the black trim pieces in the M-Sport package make this thing look aggressively gorgeous.
4 years later, they are now going for $40k, fully loaded. God bless the $80k depreciation !
Holy crap that's insane value for money. And being only 4 years old, it should still be reliable
and 2016-17 porsche 991 4s that costed the same when new still cost around 90k. I'm so unlucky
Now you can get one for 20k
Just picked up a 2018 750Xi. This is the best review on here! Thanks
Thoughts in 2023 ?

The black-out chrome is not my cup of tea but seeing it on white paint, it does make the car look good.
Man that is incredibly techy for something you'd just drive to work or the store in. But 0-60 in 4.3 second in a 4600lb 4 door? Holy crap.

im loving the new 7series, especially with the M sport package.
*ugly
compared to the outgoing models, that car looks good.

I'm sorry motorweek, but your comment on the 740i only being rear wheel drive is incorrect. It has an xdrive variant.
I like this 7 series over the S- Class.
Love the Car! Love watching Shorty driving it.
Annnnd now 4 years later you can buy a fully loaded for 30k...talk about depreciation.🤯
true that
20k now 7/24/2024
Beautiful car!
Boeing 750?
Benz and BMW are the best.
+Jaylen Bond What about Porsche?
+Arya Ahmadi I kinda like them.
82k is a competitive price, no wonder it is stealing sales from the S-Class that starts at 102k
S-Class starts at $95,550. In the U.S. anyway.
Mercedes is worthless. I am Sirius.
Like a boss 12 at least you tried
If you wait two years, you can get a certified one for $20-25K less......
BMW made the perfect Lexus.
so gorgeous
The lack of chrome trims on the side looks weird for such a top-end vehicle, sport model or not.
lovely car
They did a great job with it, the S-Class is still better but you can't go wrong with this either.
Най уникалния автомобил имам bmw 750ld individual M няма засега нищо по добро на пазара!!!
I'm in love !

Beautiful, really beautiful car.
The last good looking 7 series, IMO.
Expensive!

Get the alpina version with 600 hp. My wife loves her Alpina b7.
Show us the rear options more.
nice car
BMDUBBLEYUH - Fantastic haha
Let's see if this is reliable than the S-Class with all the latest technologies stuffed into a flagship.
It is. Average reliability, and the S class is much below average.
Boeing 750? Getting into the humor business are we?
that surround view is the shit
so let me get this straight, Ford Focus RS can produce 350 horsepower from a 4 cylinder single turbo and BMW with a V8 and two turbos can only produce 90 horsepower more.. That will only last about 50k miles b4 engine failure
but look at that torque.

The raw material cost + direct labor is probably under $40K. Excluding marketing and overhead costs, BMW is making tons of profit.
Research and development Is probably their largest portion of cost.
I will drive it only on video games loooool
Guys, Crap least It looks for me actually %sweey% food ! !
0:48 Why does it say "Boeing 750"?
The aero vent behind the front wheels look...not great! In person...in the dark treatment not loving it!

This is true, which is what most consumers do.
This car, IMO, falls short of the S Class, or the A8...or for that matter, the XJL. It is a very nice car, but those others are better than nice.
I think I'll just stop buying new cars. They are all becoming electronic nightmares anyway. Not to mention what a field day new cars are for hackers. Think I'll find myself a '78 Cressida and call it a day.
laptop everywhere, color changing dash, wtf. I hate new cars. I hope my e46 will drive till my last day.
This is soooooo american. Oh god, I dont how you guy do it
who ever buys this never even sat in a S Class
+matthew von S class still the best in the *backseat*
Why would u get this ugly thing over s class
