Thank you so much I really enjoyed this. Been going since I was a toddler and now in my 60's and still love The Maryland State Fair! Love the changing yearly exhibits, the Maryland Exhibition Hall with all the Free Swag!, few years back they had an entire City made of Legos that even lit up and had a moving Ferris Wheel and Carousel, one year there was a science Fair,I Love the 4H Building where school children do robotics demonstration and cooking and music shows and demonstrations, I love the Animatronic Veggies singing!, the many Free live local bands and so much more! Course my favorite is all the Sweet cows, goats, horses, llamas, alpacas, chickens, lambs and the veggies garden!
To me, the big attraction is the horse racing. That little track is awesome !!!! One of the reason's Maryland horse racing is dying is failure to have competitive races. No one wants to bet on "even money" horses. On that track anyone can be a winner. I've hit more long shots there than Laurel and Pimlico combined. Plus, you can see the whole course from the grandstands. It's exciting!!! Thanks Johns
I can't be the first person to suggest this, but if you haven't written a book you really should! You clearly have enough to fill more than one volume, even series focusing on different categories etc... Baltimore isn't exactly at its zenith to put it mildly, so I think something interesting and positive would be marketable.
Went to the fair today, it was ok. Lots of work goes into it, I appreciate it, but it’s sort of lacking now, and the crowd is a bit rough now. Also parking is at a premium but that’s to be expected I suppose.
