Well, tbh that fight wasn't that great by fight standards. The emotional storytelling was great, that is undeniable and I think this show is great, but the Nomu fight was much better as far as the actual fighting goes. Just my personal opinion.

I'd like to see what happened for All Might and Nana to meet in the first place. Was it random chance? Or like with Deku. Where she saw the capabilities of a great hero in him even without a quirk.

You just United States of smashed my every expectation.
Definitely becoming my favorite music channel on TH-cam.
I just love songs like this: Beautifully crafted for a specific character or series, but vague enough to be applied to almost any scenario that fits the theme of the song. For example, this song just feels so fitting when i think of the character/legend of Saint-14 of Destiny 1and 2. The guy literally was the greatest titan who ever lived; he went on a cruscade against the fallen in retaliation for all the attacks against The Last City over the centuries; this came to an end when he HEADBUTTED the leader of the House of Devil's to death! And after that, he went on a even longer one man campaign against the Vex trough time and space! This centuries long war against the Vex left such an impression on them that they built a tomb for Saint-14 in his honor. Its even hinted at that the Vex went so far as to repair the damage done to his body afer hundreds, possibly thousands, of battles over the course of his lifetimes, before placing his remains within the tomb.
And as a commentator pointed out, this campaign against the Vex came to an end when they created a Vex Mind whose sole goal was to steal Saint-14's Light and end him once and for all.
And made the Martyr Mind specifically to take his light and kill him for good.
So I get the fact that All Might is based off the character of Superman, and is in some ways representative of America in a few minor ways, but I like to think that All Might is the character of Superman written much better than the original character. His powers really do make him a god among mortals, with the second top hero Endeavor being several orders of magnitude behind him in terms of raw power. But in the end, All Might is still just a human. He has hopes and dreams and struggles to cope with his own mortality and with the thoughts of how the world will cope when the day comes when he can no longer fight.
I feel like this is an idea that never had to see the light of day in the old Superman comics. As far as I know Superman is, for all intents and purposes, immortal. Sure there was a "Death of Superman" moment...for all of like five seconds before they Deus ex Machina'ed him back to life. But there's never to my knowledge a true discussion of what would come after if Superman were ever able to stop fighting the good fight. My Hero Academia is an idealistic view of the world, but it also filters that idealism though a lense of reality. Hopes and dreams are important to the aspiring characters of the series, but they are constantly filtered through and tested by real world situations and tragedies, creating something much stronger than contemporary, one-dimensional superheroes.
I think that's why I enjoy the series so much. Yes, it gets a bit too "good" for the characters sometimes. We haven't seen anyone legitimately killed off. Even when Lemillion lost his powers it is still suggested that he will eventually get them back. Even so, they are confronted with some harsh truths about the world, with the arc of All Might desperately struggling to keep hold of One for All long enough to fulfill his duty to the next generation, with the Hero-Killer Stein arc providing a glimpse of the sort of extremist ideologies and extremist ultimatums Midorya and the others will be fighting against in their careers as heroes. It filters the lense of idealist superhero comics through a sieve of reality that I never quite get from DC-style comics, and I love it.
Nighteye just died. Like, for real died. Also big sis Magni from the league of villains got turned into red mist.
@@Blaze21iz Indeed, though it took them a long time getting through the series for anything especially high-risk to take place. As it goes on, I expect to see more, but it feels especially through the first two seasons, like the writer wasn't willing to take the big risk of killing anyone off.

This is BNHA in a nutshell.
Superman is literally exactly like how you just described All might. Superman is seen as an all powerful being but in the end he is just a man on the inside. He carries the world on his shoulders with his decisions. And he can turn everyone against him with just one bad decision. Superman has always been more relatable then All might. Superman coming back from the dead is a overused argument as every hero in Manga and Comics does this. Superman is loved to the point where he has real statues of himself in Illinois Metropolis. Sorry but everything interesting about All Might is already interesting about Superman. Superman will always be the pinnacle of heroism more than any other hero.
Jester Double lmfao if you think Superman has ever been, or ever will be Interesting, then you are severely lacking in literary intelligence; that isn’t an insult as that sort of thing isn’t really your fault, But if you can’t see how AllMight is *VASTLY* superior to Superman when it comes to writing, then you don’t really have any place in this conversation. Superman’s not even 2D the dude is a 1D character at best.
I got a chill run down my spine when the line "I have doubts" because the inspirational song just hit with a reminder that All Might could only fan those flames for so long and that song nails this period of time for All Might.

If there's one thing that makes All Might an awesome hero, it's not his legacy that he wants continued, it's the hope heroes inspire he fights for. That is why Deku is his protege. He inspires hope... and it makes All Might proud.
When you get down to it, Stein hates the other "heroes" because All Might is the only one the news regards as having gone above and beyond with selfless intent. All Might is a hero that protects people because it's the right thing to do, not because he gets anything out of it. Most of the other heroes do the right thing with good intention and Stein forgets that in favor of regarding the self sacrifice All Might made that got him soo badly injured.

When I started watching MHA, I thought All Might was going to be a surprise villain, but now I'm glad I was wrong.

I just stumbled upon this today and I'm just a little bit in love. 😍 This song is AMAZING, it really captures All Might's earnest desire to be a symbol for everyone. Lovely work!!!!
This video/song reminds us just how awesome Allmight is as a character/hero. The show does such a good job of showing us how fragile the world is without him, and how great he truly was now that he is gone (as a hero). His absence as a hero is felt across the globe, until the day Deku can fill Allmight's shoes, chaos reins in Allmight's absence.
That said, a prequel show about Allmight would be freaking amazing.
