Thank you for sharing. Beautiful plane - love Astro Hogs - and a great combo w/ Saito 4-Stroke. I have to give props to the camera woman. You were all over the place, flew nary a straight line, yet she kept you zoomed in and center framed 95% of the time. Impressive.
We've probably flown together. Rockford used to have a really fun fun fly competition back in the day. I was a member at Morrison Illinois for a really long time. Mike c
I have an Astro-hog sitting new in box that I think I will put that K&B 61 in that I ran up for the first time this summer. The K&B 61 sat nib since back in the 80's or possibly even the 70's with all the original documentation with it. I picked it up off of a guy on a Canadian RC forum. While not as powerful as today's engines it ran smooth as silk and I was quite impressed with it.
Very nice video of you and your family! I haven't had a bipe since my old Pitts special with a KB .40 on it and the first time I landed it the landing gear came loose cause everyone was saying land it hot cause it will stall out lol!
Nice looking plane and engine combo. I say you had improved a great deal in your flying skill from 94 to 97 especially given the gusty conditions. Nice save with the dead-stick too. I couldn't tell what the background smoke was.
Very nice model really agile and responsive, never flew one of those but seems to fly something like a mix between an ultimate and a súper stearman, plus the very distinctive sound of a saito
Thank you for sharing your memories with us David, would love to see you flying again
Beautiful plane !
Awesome help and commentator you had there .
Merry Christmas to ya Sir !
Thanks for sharing this video with us! Reminds me of me and my children when dad enjoys the hobby and I enjoy hearing them more 👍 Great job

I think it was a prescribed burn in the wildlife area.

Very cool!
I have a Hog Bipe kit new in the box. I need to get it built.
Now that’s one bad ass plane!!! What happened to it?
I don’t remember, that was years ago
What is that one, the hog bipe?
That’s what it says in the title of the video
@@dmrcflyr2 Yeah I noticed that the second time I watched it! Sorry for the stupid question!!
