It was knackered then and rotten through and through but still started first time and as a kid then I remember sitting in the passenger seat watching the front wheel go round through the hole in the floor. That van never went on the road but was a godsend moving stuff around the farm. We as kids repainted it battleship grey using emulsion paint and any old brushes we could find. Not a good job and the farmer wasn't best pleased, especially after it rained. It looked a right mess. Oh they were happy days. Great job Marty and thanks for the memory it invoked.

Superb work. A very attractive model with its bright colours. Some of the early Matchbox were rather muted looking, though period correct. Probably the most number of decals on a Matchbox, at the time. They turned out well. A tantalising glimpse of the display cabinet, with your finished models.
Adding the leveler is where the pipettes come into play. Or adding thinners. Paint removal baths,...aaahhhh. I don't know why I find that step satisfying. That is a nice van to do some customs on also. It looks cool. You will be a pro & expert in all this in no time. Decals, 3D printing. Video productions. etc. I saw your cases, nice. I really like this one. Thanks.

Quite a restoration, Marty. I just bought an original 1957 box on line for my mint example #42 Evening News Van, a model deserving of the very honor of having its' original box to nest within.
Good resto on the van....when you did the 1st bit on the car chase...i said to my self "Kevin's back at it again" lol.... at the closing .."wait for it, wait...BAM thought maybe that little trouble causer would have been in cuffs or strips...lol
