Chris, I want to thank you for the personal affirmations you include in your videos, I hope you know they are very much appreciated. I'm a Disney nerd who is having a very hard time in life right now and have been struggling for a number of years. Videos like yours are the closest I can hope to get to the parks and the moments where you look into the camera and offer messages of support are genuinely, truly helpful. Thank you.
I hope you’re doing okay, and that things turn out well for you. I want to say my boyfriend and I agree with you 100%, we both struggle with depression and Chris’s affirmations make me tear up every time. He is so wholesome and I love his channel so much.
You know what Provost fam? I have had moments of almost committing scuicide and one thing that helps me calm down is your channel. I’ve been watching it for years and I’ve never been bored by any video . You are amazing and thank you so much
May I ask why you always carve out a little time to say that you are important and don't loose hope? I just noticed how heart felt it is. Is it because someone close to you hurt themselves? It is wonderful how you do that and honestly there have been some hard days where it was as if you were speaking directly at me. Now I wasn't going to hurt myself but it certainly did help.
Please never stop telling people they are special, it means a lot to me and sometimes I need to be remind. I have adhd and autism so it gets really hard for me but hearing that I'm special from you is special.
Hello Chris... today's episode really struck a chord with me... First, I've met you a couple of times, in the park, recently. I really enjoy your content and I learn quite a bit from it. I'm a huge Disney Geek and I really appreciate your passion. I cannot thank you enough for talking about the Suicide Prevention Hotline. I there is someone out there who needs that help, I hope they find this message and take advantage of it. Personally, my young nephew took his own life early in 2019 and our family has never fully recovered from it. I only wish that this kind of message was put in his path before it was too late. Bless your heart for bringing this up.
this is the very first video i’ve watched of yours and it’s brought me to tears. mental health is so incredibly important to me and for you to encourage your viewers, bringing awareness to suicide prevention, it’s just wonderful. thank you so much for using your platform for good.
Hey Chris, that’s an Elk. The easiest tell is the coat color and pattern also the antlers grow long and towards the back. Then Mule Deer antlers grow out towards the ears and then up, while White Tail Deer grow out and much more forward 🦌. I Really enjoy all of your videos, informative, fun, entertaining 😃. Keep bringing more content and bring on the puns 😂. Thank you Provost Par Pass Crew!!
Chris!!! Thank you for all you do to keep us Disney Fans informed. These are amazing facts and they were all new to me. I love these facts and when my kiddos and I visit we always look for your secrets and clues, so THANK YOU!!! You and your beautiful family are awesome!!! ♥️♥️♥️
I did not know any of those secrets! Thanks for sharing and I just want YOU to know that YOU and YOUR FAMILY are so loved and make a difference in so many people's lives. YOU ARE AWESOME & AMAZING! ❤️
"The shower gets turned on"...cracks me up! I was only at Disneyland/DCA once and it was back when it was Paradise Pier. I was not too crazy over that area. I would love to go now and see Pixar Pier. This was another great video 🙂
Chris, I've said this before: I'm not a fan of click-baity type titles but I'm constantly amazed at your ability to dig and find these type of details. BTW, I knew one of the five, if you're keeping track. 😀
I love this channel so much. My kids too. We just discovered it last week. I love his positive message he always puts in there. My kids are convinced he used to work for Disney and in the beginning he laughed and we said hey he sounds like Mickey. What if..?? lol We love him.
I didn't know any if these secrets, but I do know one thing... your affirmations almost always make me cry a little. The world can be cold, and you and Amanda add some warmth and light in the dark. Hopefully when I'm down in April I'll be lucky enough to run in to you. ❤️
Fun Fact: You can win that Bullseye on display in the Storybook Store playing the Bullseye Stallion Stampede midway game in Pixar Pier. Trick is, you've got to get at least 7 people to play. So I'll act like a carnival barker and call people over to play. So far as I know, that's the only place you can acquire that stuffed animal, and you have to win the game to get it.
Not exactly, the one you win is pure plush, that one has something in it's legs to make it stand up, but it is similar. Not to mention bullseye is a large prize, and that display is a lot smaller. This is my specialty, I have been working the games almost 10 years.
Thank you Chris for your genuine affirmation and support on the Suicide hotline. I already knew number 4: The last smoking area. I remember walking through there and hating the awful smell. Some time later, I saw the plaque. The others secrets were really cool.
I watch your videos for the informational content, your jokes AND Affirmations! Your enthusiasm is amazing!! You have a beautiful family and appreciate your channel!!
You did it again! Every time I think I know all the secrets of Disneyland you come out with another video like this. I didn't know any of these and I'm ashamed that I never noticed the characters in the story book store!
You are the best Chris! Thank you so much for the way you do your blogs. You are such a blessing to so many! I didn’t know about the Storybook Shop and I feel like I know quite a bit. That was incredible!!! Thank you!!♥️♥️♥️
Gosh, why can’t we double thumbs up or send a million hearts on these videos! When we get homesick or days are hard, these videos are like a quick zap of joy and zen 💛
I watched to get the cool secrets, but left with so much more after watching! Thank you for the personal encouragement and caring about your viewers. I'm a 40 yr old mom of two, going back to school to be a nurse. This week has been very tough with studying for exams, juggling work and children. To top it off I fell outside while workout out last night and got a hairline fracture on my foot right before we leave for our Disneyland trip on October 12th. Looks like I'll be joining the scooter club for our trip haha. Yesterday, I was thinking about almost throwing in the towel for school, however your words of "don't give up" made me feel better and give me the push I needed to keep going.
The most amazing part of this entire video is you encouraging people that they are important and to call for help. That is better than any of the deep secrets revealed, although that was cool. Thank you for using your platform to help others
This video just goes to show that no matter how much you visit Disneyland there is always new things to find and see. Shout out to all the awesome Cast Members who maintain all the small details like window displays!
Wow, Chris! You got me! I almost always know at least one of the "Things you didn't know". I didn't know ANY of these! I especially loved the last one! Thanks, sweetie! You are amazing! Love to you, Amanda and Miles! 💖💕
I do remember when smoking was allowed at Disneyland. It was so funny because all the smokers were huddled into these small groups tucked away into a corner of the park barely visible through all the smoke they were emitting!! Thank you for sharing this video. This is a great reminder when we go to the park to the time, relax and let all this history and environment soak in and appreciate wheat most of us overlook! Awesome video.
Hi Chris. I knew about the story book toy store and the message board. The others I did not know about. I love how positive you are and love how you truly care about everyone. Thank you for your videos and love .
Yes! You used my joke! Highest honor, right there. This was great! I didn't know any of these except the smoking area - mostly because I'm very sensitive to cigarette smoke, so I often avoided that walk way.
We were there yesterday and had a blast! Park was busy but pretty much got on everything. Met a few former cast members who shared so Disney history while in line for Haunted Mansion.
Hey Chris- I didn't know about any of this Disney history at all and thank you for showing this to me. As a big Disney fan myself, I turn to this whenever I'm in a rough patch and it makes me feel good about myself. Keep up the great work and I always look forward to much more Disney content
I knew the last one. I recall the train and the characters. My brother and I loved miniature trains and dioramas when were kids. I also still refer to the island as Tom Sawyer’s Island too. Chris, I love how you launch into song! I do that on occasion much to my daughter’s dismay. 🤣 and love how you laugh at your own puns. You made my day! Keep being punny! 👏😁 😂
These were so cool- especially that last one! Also, thanks for the moments you take for affirmations I noticed in your recent videos. What a beautiful thing!
I love the setting sun in the parks! I have a video I shot @ WDW with Cinderella Castle & Big Thunder. When the lights switch on. What a wonderful transition. Didn't know these secrets. I did see the train in Dinoland @ AK in Florida. Love the love & attention they give the shops. The animated window displays are my favorite too. Used many showers in Galveston, TX before a dinner in a restaurant. We have 2 board walks near us. Galveston Pleasure Pier & Kemah Boardwalk. Thanks Chris for such a fun video. Glad you had a great B-day as well!
Wonderful video, Chris! Long time disney fan and trivia lover, and I only knew one of the things on this list 😮!! I knew the smoking area one because I have really bad asthma and I remember as a kid skipping over several areas that were smoking areas, and then only having to avoid that corner near Big Thunder knowing it was the last smoking spot in the park as I got older. PS I absolutely adore the moments in your videos where you talk directly to us so positively. I had the pleasure to meet you in person, and I know for a fact that you are one of the sweetest people I’ve ever met. You can feel the sincerity in the words you speak, and it means a lot to so many of us. Thanks for everything ❤
I just started watching you for the last couple of months.... gotta say I really enjoy your knowledge of Disneyland...your so excited too lolol ..I'm back tracking your videos now and truly enjoy them!!!
6 - I’ve never looked in the station wagon before. 5 - The smoking thing I knew 4 - I did know about showers 3 - Didn’t know the bulletin board 2 - Didn’t know the Mark Twain remnant. Why did they remove it?? 1 - Did not know about the store display. Very cool! Thank you so much for all the hard work you put into your videos.
And once again the AMAZING Chirs Provost stumps me with these..and I am a huge fan since DL opened..serriously..my first trip was in 1957 when I was 3! As a little kid I loved that book store because things were available from all over the world. I saved my allowance many times to buy things there. Thank you Chris for all your work on these videos and your always positive note to people that need to be reached.. It makes a difference Chris..I know it does..God bless you for this!
As a cast member I really appreciate this video. Yes I knew about two of six items however we are going today to simply look at all 6 things. Thank you
That station wagon is the same one that used to be on display in the Dinoland area of Disney’s Animal Kingdom Park. Also there was a Blue Chevrolet Corvair parked next to it at that time.
Hi Chris: I was a merchandise host in the Emporium complex from 1981 to 1985. Back then, there were both a bookstore and a candle shop in what is now the Storybook Store. Rumor was that the candle shop was one of Michael Jackson’s favorite places to shop when he was in the park - it did smell nice in there from all of the scented candles. I do not recall a train running around the top of the store nor the various diorama scenes depicted in your video. I know that the Emporium complex did get a major refurb after I left (late ‘80s or in the ‘90s?) and I think that might have included the addition of the train and dioramas as well as those “full scale” scenes located in the main Emporium store located on the upper part of the walls. So, it might be safe to say that this display was added sometime after 1985. Oh yeah, my terminology of the “Emporium Complex” included the main Emporium Store, the Crystal Arcade, Disneyana when it was on the west side of Main Street, the book and Candle Stores, and the Clock Shop. One of my favorite memories was to be working in the Clock Shop when the Victorian Carolers would do short concerts in the store at Christmastime - it was nice to be paid to stand there and listen to that group.
Great information Chris. When you started and said "Let's go done here, we're going to go done here to the station wagon." I thought "I got this one." BAM!!! strike one - did not know about the baseball. As you continued through the list.....well, you struck me out twice. Haha. I did know it was a no smoking park, but was not aware of the details or the plaque. Thank you for always presenting great content, bringing your YT family along for your adventures, and for encouraging people along the way.
We have been Disneyland fans for our whole lives and were lucky enough to go 19 times as APs before COVID hit. We thought we knew every secret about the park but you stumped us 6 times. Thanks for continuing to offer great content with a positive message! Keep up the great work.
Thank you for adding the info for the suicide hot line, a very kind, and useful gesture. Hoping someone, even just one person, hears you, and a life will be saved. Also… awesome video as always! I rarely know any of the secrets you reveal, and I love learning all these new tasty tidbits. Best to you, Amanda & Miles. ❤
I like your channel, my wife worked at Disney for 25 years and I knew about the billboard posts in the case. She started in 1972 and said that the display at the The Storybook Store was there when she started in 72 but has no idea when it first opened. But the displays change all the time and are added to or deleted.
Awesome job Chris. Love Disney and love your passion for it as well. I love that old station wagon and have looked in it several times. Never saw the Mickey signature. 😮
I had only noticed #5. On Tom Sawyer Island, the animal that you wondered about is an elk. Elk are bigger than deer and their coloring is a little different. The light patch on the elk’s rump is also bigger than the patch on a deer and the elk’s antlers are bigger and they look different then deer antlers.
As a Disney freak, I was surprised I did not know all these. I knew 3 out of the 6. But I love learning new things about Disney, there is so much history & knowledge to consume, I'm not sure one person could know-it-all.
Oh my stars!! 0/6 You are so good at finding out all these cool details! We were in the Story Book Store just last week and I did not look up. I was so focused on finding something I missed it entirely. From the baseball to Robin Hood, I appreciate the reminder to slow down and look at all the wonderful details. Thanks!
Thank you Chris for sharing these things that I've passed so many times and never noticed them. I have seen the train before but I have never noticed the characters on the train. Now I'm going to check them out when I get to Disneyland again.
We knew 2 of the 7. We knew of the last smoking area. And we knew about the train that runs we actually use the bathroom near the store when we are leaving and always stop to see the train run as we are leaving. We met you once at the park and you are very nice. Thank you! We enjoy your videos.
I knew about #5, but that's it. I found #1 to be really interesting! Just a few weeks ago, one of my friends was trying to point out a train running around one of the shops that she could've sworn she remembered, but she couldn't figure out which shop it was. Well, now I know which one and where to show her! Thanks!!
I didn’t know there was no smoking in Disneyland! I never thought about it but I’m so glad. It’s really a place for kids and kids shouldn’t be around smoke.
I did not know any of this stuff happen for a long time now. I went to the parks last March and I didn’t even notice the Mark Twain rails were on the island this whole time. Man time flies by so fast
I just stumbled onto your video. It was so entertaining, fun, and uplifting. Thank you! The world needs more positive people like you. I grew up practically in the shadow of the Matterhorn and went to the park frequently but I never knew about any of your secrets. It's these small details that make Disney magic. You almost convinced me to go back.
Padres eh? That throws a wrench into the mix. It's True Blue Dodgers all the way! Any Baseball fan is good with me it's almost a lost game, still our favorite pastime.
Thanks for featuring a brief shot of a sign that I handlettered in 1995 and updated to include the Fortuosity Shop when it opened. Retired now, but was a Sign Shop cast member for 28 years. At 13:18 time stamp.
Hi Chris thank you for all of your punny-jokes they really make my day! I only knew 1 of the 6 secret places you mentioned and that was the smoking area and sign. I remember when that was the last place you could smoke and alls you could see was a big cloud of smoke and a bunch of people all crammed in that small area! 😅. Anyway thank you again for your positive attitude and kind hearted soul. Your the best ❤
Thank you.
Hi Zhane. I don't know you but I care about you. I hope things look up very soon. You are valuable and loved.
I hope things work out for you, Zhane.
I truly hope things improve for you, and that Disney treats are in your future ❤
Hang in there, buddy. It's worth it.
Richard I am so sorry. I know exactly what you are talking about. 💙💚
I’m a Disney geek as well
I was not aware of any of these secrets. Thanks for the video. I hope to run into you in 4 weeks if you’re at the parks.
Solid jokes throughout!!!!! Definitely items I didn't know!
this is the very first video i’ve watched of yours and it’s brought me to tears. mental health is so incredibly important to me and for you to encourage your viewers, bringing awareness to suicide prevention, it’s just wonderful. thank you so much for using your platform for good.

I love this channel. So much positivity and great information. We need more people like this in the world.
Thank you Keith. 💙💚
Thank you so much Chris for the words of encouragement and the kindness.
I actually knew two. The showers and the smoking area.
Thank you again 💓
Jean
You are so good at this i knew none and have been going since 1962. I love your support of people ❤️
Your upbeat and positive attitude is amazing. Thanks Chris.
Thanks!
I love this channel so much. My kids too. We just discovered it last week. I love his positive message he always puts in there.

The display in The Storybook Store is one of my favorite things in the parks! I love it!!!
I love how there are so many hidden details. One of my most magical moments was finding a Hidden Mickey in the Mickey and Friends parking structure.

I knew 0/6! Thanks for the deep dive!
Also 9:30 - totally an elk with the dark colored head, and size/shape of the antlers.
Yup, that's an elk or wapati.
Wow, Chris! You got me! I almost always know at least one of the "Things you didn't know". I didn't know ANY of these! I especially loved the last one! Thanks, sweetie! You are amazing! Love to you, Amanda and Miles! 💖💕

Knew none of those secrets but i am just in awe how many secrets and tid bits are hidden around the parks!
Do you know about the only tunnel under Disneyland? 😏
Thank you! This video was awesome!
I knew the last one. I recall the train and the characters. My brother and I loved miniature trains and dioramas when were kids. I also still refer to the island as Tom Sawyer’s Island too.

These were so cool- especially that last one! Also, thanks for the moments you take for affirmations I noticed in your recent videos. What a beautiful thing!
I just noticed the shower water fountain on the pier this last week! The rest was completely new to me. Thanks for sharing, love this videos.

I loved this video! I didn’t know ANY of these. And I can’t believe I’ve never seen that train going around the top. So cool!
You got me with the Bullseye 🎯🐴 joke 🤣🤣🤣!!!
We have been Disneyland fans for our whole lives and were lucky enough to go 19 times as APs before COVID hit. We thought we knew every secret about the park but you stumped us 6 times. Thanks for continuing to offer great content with a positive message! Keep up the great work.
GO PADRES! Makes me so happy that one of my favorite channels is a fan of of my my favorite teams!!
I did not know any of those facts, thanks for another great video Chris! You always tell us to look up and look down❤
Thank you for adding the info for the suicide hot line, a very kind, and useful gesture.
When you didnt think Chris could get any better he talks about the suicide hotline. It hits home so thank you for saying that! Keep up the good work!
Amazing list! Also, Provost family & team, you are special, you are appreciated, you are loved. You are doing great
Thank you Adam. 💙💚
The light patch on the elk’s rump is also bigger than the patch on a deer and the elk’s antlers are bigger and they look different then deer antlers.
elk antlers point backwards, deer point forwards/up. Easiest way to tell.
Thanks!
I did not know any of these! Thanks for pointing them out Chris!
Thank you Chris for sharing these things that I've passed so many times and never noticed them. I have seen the train before but I have never noticed the characters on the train. Now I'm going to check them out when I get to Disneyland again.
Elk because of size and rack and white rump. Love your videos
We knew 2 of the 7. We knew of the last smoking area. And we knew about the train that runs we actually use the bathroom near the store when we are leaving and always stop to see the train run as we are leaving. We met you once at the park and you are very nice. Thank you! We enjoy your videos.
Love the video!! I learned some new stuff about Disneyland, so thanks for making this. I always wanted one of those model trains, soooo very cool!!!
Thanks for a great video and positive messages!🎉
Chris! Thank you so much for saying those things to me. I love you and your family nd team so much- that meant so much!!!!
Thanks for the video Chris! Your amazing too!
Thanks for the video, I didn't know any of those secrets!! I'll have to look for them the next time I'm in the park. 😊
That would be an Elk. Again alot of great new secrets revealed by the great Chris. 👍
Padres eh? That throws a wrench into the mix. It's True Blue Dodgers all the way! Any Baseball fan is good with me it's almost a lost game, still our favorite pastime.
Another day of you being awesome! 🎉 happy belated birthday 🎂 👏👏👍🏼
I did not know these secrets. Thanks for sharing them.
Thanks for featuring a brief shot of a sign that I handlettered in 1995 and updated to include the Fortuosity Shop when it opened. Retired now, but was a Sign Shop cast member for 28 years. At 13:18 time stamp.
Holy Cow!!’ That is amazing. You are truly talented 💙💚
Enjoy your videos, and your humor!
Love your puns. Thank you for all the information about Disneyland.
