Terrific band with many great songs. Worth listening to them more with Kathy & Donna.
Lulu, you were probably thinking of the song written by Leonard Cohen also titled Hallelujah. It has been covered by more than 300 performers.
If you like the contrast between Jennifers vocals and the harsher ones I would highly recommend the songs Shine And Shade or Not In Our Name. Great band and I would love to see more reactions to them in the future!
Jennifer Haben performs for the first time with her mother's church choir at the age of 4. The following year she appeared under her own name for the first time. That's why Jenny lists 5 as her starting age. At the end of elementary school, she founded the school band Speed with her brother and they won a state award. At the same time, she appears solo in casting competitions. This resulted in the pop girl group Saphier in 2010, where she was 15 years old. Due to disputes and lack of success, the band broke up the following year. Jenny says: "Locking 4 pubescent girls in a tour bus wasn't a good idea". When she turns 18, the manager of Saphir offers her a contract for a project of her choice. When she signed, only the name Beyond the Black existed and that it was supposed to be Symphomic Metal. There is not a single song and no other band member. Stylistically it is based on Within Temptation. She justifies her choice of metal because you can do anything there. Jenny is no vocal prodigy, but lifelong training is hard to ignore. Regarding the band name, she says that after the darkness comes the light.
The band had their first concert at the Wacken Open Air in 2015. They applied with the demos because they hadn't released an album yet. At their performance there were only single releases and the beginners tent was packed. The album then reached number 12 in the German album charts. The follow-up album reached number 4. After recording, Jenny changed the label against the band's wishes. They then terminates completely. Shortly before the tour begins, she no longer has a band and has a bad reputation. To this day, she still rolls her eyes when asked about this situation. She regroups the band and goes on tour. The band in the video is the new line-up. This is followed by three more albums at chart positions 5, 3 and 2.

Also she sings the opening theme for Disney Channel Germany as she was a Teenager.
@@heihe26 Disney Channel Germany is the third largest children's channel of four in Germany. It was only last year that it caught up with the two leading channels. Before Disney, she had already sung songs for the second-placed KIKA and Saphir came out of a casting show on KIKA. Through KIKA, she made contacts that she later needed for her career. Disney was nice to have for her.

One of the female vocalists I enjoy. I enjoy Jennifer Haben's vocals.
If you like her voice I'd suggest their cover version of the Motorhead song "Love me Forever"
I do love this band.. with that said this is not one of the songs I love. Not horrible to say the least, just not their best in my opinion.
