what do you mean by "truth"? apparently it isn't actual things I can show you, in the world we presently live in. if you mean Truth as a philosophical exercise to illustrate bigger ideas, ok. If you mean truth as "this is reality", we have a problem. How is it that you decided to actually believe the religion you were taught? & why would you think the others, born elsewhere are "wrong" to believe in their god(s)? using the same criteria for discrimination/investigation as you do?

After watching this video and reading these comments, I did some research on the creation. I found these views to be fascinating, revealing that despite how creation is viewed, people are searching for answers.
If a person reads through the Bible, they'll realize the stories written in both the Old and the New Testament are repeated. If you read Matthew, Mark, Luke, and John, the account of Jesus was written according to their perspective. Some of the stories are similar, yet are shared from their point of view. You'll find that in the Books of Kings also repeated in the Chronicles. It's consistent even in Genesis. To repeat, not exactly the same in Genesis 2 as in Genesis 1 is reaccounting the story and adding on what follows. Genesis 1 gives the order of things. Genesis 2 expounds on it. There was only 1 Garden of Eden.
As for Cain and Abel. We need to consider that Adam and Eve lived a long life. Adam lived to be 930 years old. Birth control wasn't an option back then. They had other children, and back then, to have children with a relative was acceptable in order to populate. It doesn't say how old Cain and Abel were when Abel was killed. More than likely, they were old enough to have children and grandchildren already. When Eve had Seth, it doesn't say Seth was their third child. From Eve's statement, even after she probably already had other children, Seth was replacing Abel. Adam was 130 years old when Seth was born.
As for prophecies. Many times prophecies were given and materialized within that person's lifetime or soon after. The greatest prophecy was that Jesus, the Savior of the world would come. The New Testament testifies to that account. In reading the New Testament, scripture references to what was prophesied in the Old Testament gives that confirmation.
One thing is certain, the Lord God invites, encourages us to seek Him with all our heart. If we seek Him, we will find Him. And as we get to know Jesus, His Son, we'll understand His word better.
He loves each and every one of you more than you'll ever know.

One thing that's wrong with your point of view, None of the people in the bible existed, including Jesus. The other thing that comes to mind is the bible makes GOD look stupid and dumb. He, she, or it leaves to many holes for mistakes to happen considering GOD knows all, past, present, and future. The bible makes it look as though God never saw what was gone to take place. He never saw it coming and if he did he refused to make any corrections which means he wanted it to take place.

The Bible says that people aren't supposed to add anything new to God's word, or subtract anything from it...but all people have done is change the Bible. Some versions call it a fruit, and some don't. Some versio s give a lot of respect & credit to women, and some don't. It really depends on which kind you read.

The thing that I find most confusing about the Adam and Eve story is the time table that they were created and existed in an estimate 6,000 to 10,000 years ago then the Dr Leakey discovery of the oldest know humans remains we're found in East Africa and the carbon dating indicated to be 3 million years old so technically we don't know how old the earth has been created and when the first humans was walking the earth it's just something to think about.

@@chriswalker5812 I totally agree, the timetable makes no sense. The oldest known evidence for anatomically modern humans (as of 2017) are fossils found at Jebel Irhoud, Morocco, dated about 300,000 years old.
In 1962, Louis Leakey discovered the remains of Kenyapithecus, early man that lived about 14 million years ago, not modern man. Leaky found Zinjanthropus, or "East Africa Man" to be 2 to 3 million years old. But that was over half a century ago and much more has been found out since the mid 20th century.
Geologists and other earth scientists all agree and have dated the rocks in Earth, as well as the rocks of Earth's neighbors, such as the moon. Scientists have calculated that Earth is 4.54 billion years old, with an error range of 50 million years
Why people argue about how many hours (etc) it took for the earth to be created is beyond me. It's like spending an entire birthday party arguing about what store the confetti came from.

@@Saffron-sugar Let's go to the Book Genesis chapter 1 verse 1-31
      Chapter 1
[1:1] In the beginning when God created the heavens and the earth,
[1:2] the earth was a formless void and darkness covered the face of the deep, while a wind from God swept over the face of the waters.
[1:3] Then God said, "Let there be light"; and there was light.
[1:4] And God saw that the light was good; and God separated the light from the darkness.
[1:5] God called the light Day, and the darkness he called Night. And there was evening and there was morning, the first day.
[1:6] And God said, "Let there be a dome in the midst of the waters, and let it separate the waters from the waters."
[1:7] So God made the dome and separated the waters that were under the dome from the waters that were above the dome. And it was so.
[1:8] God called the dome Sky. And there was evening and there was morning, the second day.
[1:9] And God said, "Let the waters under the sky be gathered together into one place, and let the dry land appear." And it was so.
[1:10] God called the dry land Earth, and the waters that were gathered together he called Seas. And God saw that it was good.
[1:11] Then God said, "Let the earth put forth vegetation: plants yielding seed, and fruit trees of every kind on earth that bear fruit with the seed in it." And it was so.
[1:12] The earth brought forth vegetation: plants yielding seed of every kind, and trees of every kind bearing fruit with the seed in it. And God saw that it was good.
[1:13] And there was evening and there was morning, the third day.
[1:14] And God said, "Let there be lights in the dome of the sky to separate the day from the night; and let them be for signs and for seasons and for days and years,
[1:15] and let them be lights in the dome of the sky to give light upon the earth." And it was so.
[1:16] God made the two great lights - the greater light to rule the day and the lesser light to rule the night - and the stars.
[1:17] God set them in the dome of the sky to give light upon the earth,
[1:18] to rule over the day and over the night, and to separate the light from the darkness. And God saw that it was good.
[1:19] And there was evening and there was morning, the fourth day.
[1:20] And God said, "Let the waters bring forth swarms of living creatures, and let birds fly above the earth across the dome of the sky."
[1:21] So God created the great sea monsters and every living creature that moves, of every kind, with which the waters swarm, and every winged bird of every kind. And God saw that it was good.
[1:22] God blessed them, saying, "Be fruitful and multiply and fill the waters in the seas, and let birds multiply on the earth."
[1:23] And there was evening and there was morning, the fifth day.
[1:24] And God said, "Let the earth bring forth living creatures of every kind: cattle and creeping things and wild animals of the earth of every kind." And it was so.
[1:25] God made the wild animals of the earth of every kind, and the cattle of every kind, and everything that creeps upon the ground of every kind. And God saw that it was good.
[1:26] Then God said, "Let us make humankind in our image, according to our likeness; and let them have dominion over the fish of the sea, and over the birds of the air, and over the cattle, and over all the wild animals of the earth, and over every creeping thing that creeps upon the earth."
[1:27] So God created humankind in his image, in the image of God he created them; male and female he created them.
[1:28] God blessed them, and God said to them, "Be fruitful and multiply, and fill the earth and subdue it; and have dominion over the fish of the sea and over the birds of the air and over every living thing that moves upon the earth."
[1:29] God said, "See, I have given you every plant yielding seed that is upon the face of all the earth, and every tree with seed in its fruit; you shall have them for food.
[1:30] And to every beast of the earth, and to every bird of the air, and to everything that creeps on the earth, everything that has the breath of life, I have given every green plant for food." And it was so.
[1:31] God saw everything that he had made, and indeed, it was very good. And there was evening and there was morning, the sixth day. Where does it give a actual precise date time year how long it took and how many years it's been in that? this came straight out of the bible so therefore it can't be measured by any earthly person that's living today so therefore we don't know. We don't understand the greater mysteries of God where he came from, does he have parents, how he looks how did he create everything, did he create more people that look like us some where else in the whole universe they say the earth has already been destroyed and regenerated 5 times already what was here before the first destruction ?

The Adam & Eve story is a metaphor for the Birth Process
In the womb we are pure, unsullied - life is perfect, joyful & happy - no worries, food, shelter, care all provided for
    Life is the Apple
Suddenly we are thrown out - we feel pain for the first time. We feel our nakedness, feel ashamed and someone covers us up
As we grow up we are pure no more
And so Heaven is the idea that we can go back to the womb, be a child again - this time forever

Someone can tell you that that X person will give you lots of money, will put you up in his penthouse, nice car - no need to work - you know why, right? As an adult you figure out what's behind this easy life - here again you have to think and ask yourself why someone is just going to let you sit about and enjoy the easy life
As an Adult you have it figured out already

As a lower life form - a Tree or a Dog - you will experience Heaven and Hell
What worries does a Tree have? none! What work does a Dog do? none

You missed a very interesting part. When God asks Adam what happened, he replies in the King James Version, " the woman that you gave me, she gave me to eat, and i did eat." He, in effect, is blaming God for giving him the woman and blaming Eve for initiating the sin. Eve when questioned, admits honestly what happened and accepts the blame. In the previous chapter 2, God's command to not eat the fruit is given to Adam before Eve's creation, so it was his responsibility to convey the message to Eve. Because of their errors, woman now pay a price to have children, not because God wills it, but because it was the natural result of their sin.

This is already unbiblical and I’m only at 12 seconds into the video. Eve did not trick Adam! Eve was tricked herself- yes, but she did not trick Adam in turn. It’s in contradiction with the bible: Paul’s letter: „For the man was not deceived, but the woman, being deceived, fell into transgression.“ You said the man was tricked when Paul clearly says he was not deceived. And second, there is also Genesis saying the woman ate from the fruit and gave some to her husband WHO WAS WITH HER! Look it up. This again speaks against Adam being an innocent victim: he was there the whole time- he witnessed everything. He heard and saw everything Eve heard and saw, heard what the serpent said and knew what he was doing. Him being tricked by Eve implies that Eve lied to him or ommited some of the truth or twisted it. When in fact, no exchange between Adam and Eve is recorded in the bible at all so she hardly could have lied or manipulated him. And again, he was in no way more ignorant than Eve was, he knew and saw everything she had. This is incredibly important because misunderstanding this can very easily lead down a path of misogny, if we believe the first women tricked the first man, we see woman as dangerous deceivers and enemies of men, a stereotype that has harmed women rights for hundreds, if not thousands of years. The old „women as evil seductresses“ stereotype. And secondly, it makes God look unjust: If Adam indeed would have been tricked by the woman and he acted out of pure ignorance without knowing what he was doing, it would have been unfair of God to punish him: expell him and put the curse of hard labour on him. So, that’s that. After reading the other comments that had to correct various other important points I decided to better not even watch the rest. Take what you hear here with a grain of salt and check with your bible is my advice. If the comments are true, there is lots of misinformation in this video, be careful to not be mislead.

You are making an assumption to be a fact. Eve knew that she was eating the fruit from the tree. And she gave it to adam. I dont know which translation you are talking about. It was intentional. The fall was necessary. It needed to happen for Adam & Eve to progress, and for Gods spirit children to progress by then having the opportunity to come into mortality and learn and grow here. The fall by being called the fall sounds like a disastrous horrendous thing. It wasn’t. It was a necessary step to progression. And, Adam & Eve’s part in it or role was noble. Also, they didn’t sin in partaking of the forbidden fruit, they transgressed in partaking of the forbidden fruit.

Their innocent minds have startef to have malice and could already distisguish between bad and good acts. Hence, through Moses, He made the Ten Commandments as the basic laws to all mankind so as to make us aware that these are immoral acts that the Divine Creator abhors. Any person who violates any of His Commanments, will be meted with Divine retribution in the afterlife. Inasmuch as the woman being the first to violate such rule, she had to suffer a drastic punishment of a painful child delivery, whereas the man has to work hard as a provider for them to survive.

If Jesus took our sins away when he gave a sacrificial death, then why are we still suffering for what Adam and Eve did? If God told Eve that she would suffer through childbirth , wouldn’t Jesus’s sacrificial death mean that we today wouldn’t have to suffer like Eve did? But only commanded one ☝️ thing “you should not eat of that tree” so in this life god gave us which is called “free will” meaning whatever choices you make in life whether good or bad. God did that to see if Adam and Eve were gonna obey him and before that, god already knew satan was gonna come and tempt them which is god allow satan to do so to see if they would listen to god or listen to satan. That’s free will, making choices from your heart. So Adam and Eve obey the devil and that’s why the world is today. In others words god saw us all the same just like Adam and Eve no one isnt perfect that’s why he send his son Jesus Christ to die for our sins. You don’t earn salvation through your actions. “Those that Believe in my son will have in eternally life. (They cannot go to my father but through me) let me make easier for you do you accept Jesus Christ and your lord and savior if yes, your saved your sins paid it’s already done on the cross. Adam and Eve are the first couple to be Children of God. What that means is they understood how they worked both Good and Evil through Meditation or Prayer. When done as a training it can calm the body's subconscious emotional reaction to emotion, which gives the mind more time to make the proper decision and not bring evil into the world. The temple we are has four sides that all contain Good and bad, those sides are Thought memory feeling and emotion. They work consciously and subconsciously. It is not until you train the subconcious emotional reaction to be calm to understand the profound meaning of what that does. I understand Paul's Thorn in his side, or Thor's Belt. The story is told in many ways.

As a Christian, I think the Adam and Eve is a Jewish metaphorical summary account of early humans. Most nations in the world have or had their own ancestral creation stories.
I don't think the forbidden fruit was an apple or a fig, I think it was animal meat, because particular word translations from ancient Hebrew to Greek and Latin were vague and misinterpreted.
God allowed the consumption of fruit and plants because he said to Adam and Eve, "I give you every seed-bearing fruit and plants for you for food"
Plus, Adam and Eve left the garden of Eden wearing animal skins for clothing, so they must've used it for food too. Therefore, "The original sin" was the eating of meat which would've been the knowledge of evil, whereas the eating of fruit and plants were the knowledge of good.
Even Moses tried to enforce the original vegan diet of God when he was in the desert with the Jews, but they demanded meat in their diet.
Therefore, it's no surprise that the missing bone in Adam was actually his baculum or penis bone rather than his rib.
Mistranslations and interpolations in the Bible are common and often obvious ✝️

I was pretty surprised to see that there was someone who wrote a book about the Garden of Eden being at the N. Pole. That is what I have concluded, too, based on analyzing ancient maps in connection with the Euphrates/Tigris rivers, understanding the significance of the North star, and connecting the north star to the Northern realm of earth to the description of God's throne and the evidence of His throne being in the North. I know that's a lot of info and maybe confusing to understand, but if you dig into the details between Bible and observable reality then you will be led closer to the truth.

I believe that the story of Adam and Eve is beyond our comprehension of the how, what, and when. God stated His creation in very basic terms for a basis of belief concerning the fall and redemption of man. If you do not believe in God or His Word, just walk away and why debate something you do not believe in. If you believe in God and the Bible, then consider this revelation at its basic roots of fall of man, his sin and the coming redemption of man.

Allow me to throw a little light here... I was there in the beginning.. Adam wasn't “tricked” or what so ever. He did it for love. He knew he was a full godman on earth. Adam had the power to defeat the devil any place or time. So he stood in the way for Eve, remember he has been lonely for so long. He didn't want to loose her. So he decided if God wanted to take her away for what she has done, He has to take us both. So he stood in the way. If you noticed God naver cursed Adam, He cursed the earth for what Adam did. As for the fruit, what are you to your mother, a fruit of what exactly? Oh faithless generation how you are so blind, naked and miserable without knowing it. Remember God operate's with the sixth sense (faith) not your limited human five senses. He that has an ear let him hear.

Before Adam and Eve "eat" the fruit from the tree, they were clealy doing things as they told to. Either from God or some authority figure(s). Among them at least one side in supporting Adam and Eve eat the fruit from the tree and did it without the other side agree with the idea. Given that Adam and Eve were used to do thing as they told, it's unlikely that they aquire the fruit by themselves. Instead the "fruit"s were given to them. Then, it's likely that after Adam and Eve "ate the fruit", tensions escalate between the two sides, and one side of the story were being told for some reasons. Therefore the story being told is a matter of point of view from the mainstream of the authorities.

The author connects the name Eve (Hebrew, hawah) to a root meaning “life,” stating she was “the mother of all living.” The Greek text agrees, translating with Zoe (“life”). But a widely accepted derivation for Eve’s name, first suggested in the Talmud, is the Hebrew root hwy-a word for “snake” in other Semitic languages. It's about the fall of a Goddess, not man.
