the bars weren't Sunmi, they were a rapper under JYP called 'Lena' - Lena Ahn. she quit JYP and had a kid (i think) i actually follow her on IG but she doesn't show up often. another great loss for JYP along with Somi and IU
Yes, she was supposed to be the rapper for 6Mix, the group that Nayeon, Jeongyeon and Jihyo was supposed to debut with, but the debut got postponed and then canceled after a ferry mishap in Korea which killed many people.
Somi choose to leave for her own music. JYP respect her decision and part away beautifully. IU never been in JYPE trainee system. She failed since audition, and she also admits her skill back then nope great as now. IU don't have JYPE vocal colours.
@@adeqida5306 IU auditioned for JYP and never got in - his loss. Somi left to pursue her own music because she couldn't do it under JYP - his loss

The visuals production is so good you can waste time rewatching in slomo to catch more details.
Looking back after all Sunmi’s work since that has included much of her own personality (Borderline for one straightout confessional example), the storyline here makes new sense.
I'm still so mad we didn't got a Sunmi X Yubin in this song😭😤 Sunmi revealed that it was proposed but at the time Wonder Girls were on hiatus so it couldn't happen. Just a year later Sunmi rejoins the group and they rebrand as a band.
It was for Sunmi comebacks after a long hiatus. It's make weird if Yubin include. PDnim know what is the best for the.
Iirc, this was her first solo song after leaving the Wonder Girls, and I have been a fan ever since. This was such a great debut, and since then she has had 0 misses.
