Have similar issue. 99 EX automatic new battery and starter. Clicks trying turn on but won't start. If I pump the brakes and my headlights get dim/bright. If I pump the brake then put it in neutral and turn the key it sometimes turn's on. I changed the neutral safety switch.
bro i bought a new starter for my civic hatchback and put it in, still no start, then i found plastic pieces on the floor and it was the clutch sensor plastic part that fell out, i superglued 2 dimes there, but still no start?? did you have to reset ecu or something?

That apply only in manual cars, the plastic stopper goes to the clutch. The easy part is to put a coins. Your is automatic!

so theres 2 plastic secuirty buttons that get pushed by the clutch pedal or one
