Always exciting to purchase something that will make your life comfortable. Good job on the pathway. No more walking in mud and slippery grass for you and Sam. Take care, stay healthy.
Here on US TV, there are some series of yard work and they get a lawn mower company to give them a free mower for advertising it on their show, just a suggestion, worth a try.
Thanks for another enjoyable video, Sean! Always a good idea to think ahead of what you might need to help keep you and your family warm when the weather gets cold. Well done.
There seems no end to your knowledge and talent Sean. Hello to Sam! My grandparents lived on a farm and had a keroene stove in case the electric went out. Beig born in the late 1880s they were always prepared for what winter might bring to the rural farm area.
Nice show, again, Hercules. The stone steppers to the greenhouse look terrific at your stone estate. The place keeps looking better by the day. Your hard work is an instant payoff. I have a kerosene heater, in the basement, in case the heat goes off. I think kerosene is safe to burn indoors...it is still brand new, but 45+ yrs old...haven't ever needed it. Also, have livingroom fireplace with special damper that closes near top of chimney, inside, called a "Chim-o-lator" that stops cold air from entering house, through chimney when damper/door closed (operated by a chain that extends down into fire area). Having a fire in fireplace when below zero degrees Fahrenheit, though, sends heat up and out of chimney, unless a special glass box installed, at floor level...which I do not have. So far, the gas boiler, which feeds the hot water radiators throughout the house, has been dependable. The world is becoming less stable these days. I suppose I may be exploring something else, like you, for an emergency. Until then, wool blankets, feather quilts, flannel sheets, woolies and sox, will do. I saw a Utube that said mounting a small tent on top of one's bed would be a prudent idea! Stay warm. Keep inventing/improving what you can. Your home is utterly charming and fabulous! Thanks for letting us into your lives.
Nice heater Sean, I have the Caravan type in my garage (about 4 years now) whilst not super hot it does a nice job of keeping it warm. Its piped to outside (you don’t want any diesel fumes in with you as you well know). If its really cold I have a gas hot air heater but both cost money. I bought a cheap power supply unit from the channel we all know and love, 240v in and 12v out, simple unit and cost about £12. Works well and saves (i suppose) on battery (that needs charging). Great path. Stay well and warm.
The back up heating is a great idea. Keeps you warm regardless of the circumstances. Have a great day
I like the little heater. It’s a great idea for the cottage, and backup heating sources. I like your pathway too.
Won't the exhaust produce Carbon monoxide?

You two do have a lot of buildings so I think it is common sense to be prepaired, nice pathway too
Love the garden spaces. It is always nice to walk a clean path.
Beautiful view of the meadow

Your garden pathway is looking very nice! Sam will be pleased. Love from Pennsylvania, USA💕🌷🐻
It's always good to have backup heating sources. That path is looking better and better.

We have back up heating stuff, too. Country living means being prepared!
Lovely video! ❤😊🎉👍💜
Sean, the pavers are going to be such an up-grade.
Looking really good so far.
Hope the heater thing works for you.
Cheers
Hope you get the heater working you are nailing it on the grass cutting & the pathway 🤗👍🍰☕🍰☕🌹🌹🌹
Love Sue❤❤❤🇬🇧❤❤❤
Thanks Sue
A power cut for two days is two days too much. Glad you have the backup heater.
We use one to heat our 20 x 40' chicken coup in sub zero temperatures.
We use a similar kerosene heater
❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤
What great timing Sean! Did you loose power because of the snowstorm?
Sean maybe you could set up a fund for a used lawn mower on your channel or funding to fix it! ❤
Can you use diesel indoors ? Where do the fumes go ?
No outdoors only
Is that heater safe to use indoors??
I l would not recommend it indoors
🌟👏👍🍀💐
When will you be back in the cottage?
Does Sam work outside the home? If not, curious why she doesn’t help outside. I love to weed whack.
Interesting…I’m looking for something non solar panel, non electric.
I’m short. The slabs are too far apart!
