It has to be said, Fury's reaction to seeing Goose is absolutely the correct procedure. You see a cat, you have to pat it, it's the law. :D Everything you need to know about the Kree going into this movie is can be seen in the first Guardians of the galaxy movie, in that Ronan the Accuser is Kree, and the Kree government refused to denounce his actions. The only downside to this movie is that it was being written at the same time as Endgame. The reason this was a problem is that it meant the Russo brothers were not privy to what Marvel was going to do with Marvel, making it difficult to write for her. There is more that can be said but as it would involve some major spoilers I'm leaving that discussion until the Endgame reaction has been posted.

I don't understand the dislike for this movie. It may not be the best, but you have to admit the chemistry between Brie and Samuel is just awesome. I think Brie is a good choice for Captain Marvel. Plus I love seeing everyone reacting to the flerken opening its mouth with the tentacles for the first time. I was like Ryan Reynolds in Blade Trinity when he saw the vampire pomeranian.
Part of it is Brie Larson offscreen and then part of it is when the film acts like some sort of trailblazer, when in point of fact it's late to the game.
This was the one casting that didn't work for me. Brie Larson is an excellent actress. She showed it in Room. But it feels like she was cast to bring vulnerability to the role, and instead she and the director just wanted to go full badass with it, and that's not really her wheelhouse. The toughness feels very movie tough; inauthentic. At least for me it does. If feels like she spent a lot of the movie mean-mugging for the camera. If they wanted full badass they should have gone with Katee Sackhoff. But it's still a cool movie. Just less enjoyable for me than the rest of the MCU. That's a pretty high bar, though.
@@justinpitcock5312 No, it's because BS Larson is disliked by the other Marvel stars and she has publicly shown her hatred of men/OG comic fans, just so she can cozy up to Kathleen Kennedy.
