Very big cams, too rich mix = idle sucks but too much torque at high rpm

Can anyone explain to me what causes the weird idle sound of the Evo at 2:35 ? It sounds like hes pushing the gas pedal repeatedly, but I'm pretty sure that's not what's going on

Big performance camshafts cause engine to be running lean at idle/low revs, and getting a bit too much air

@@Mk7adxm do you know what size cams they are using that cause that type of idle?

its not cams its rotational idle from the ECU. These cars run rally antilag and for it the throttle is jacked open, usually 30% or more. The rotational idle will cut allowing it to idle like that otherwise it will just rev off.

@@lukasgotzenberger8142 It's not the cams. It's the throttle opened constantly for anti-lag and idle speed is controlled with cutting the ignition repeatedly.
