This is an excellent essay, I really enjoy the way you present your ideas. Glad I found your channel! Leone was highly skilled and a brilliant mind for the world of cinema and the world as a whole. I think for a director to have less than 10 films yet several of them being timeless classics says so much about his skill behind the lens. I think Once Upon a Time in the West is a masterpiece, as well as The Good, the Bad, and the Ugly and Once Upon a Time in America. Each of those films stand out to me as unparalleled works of art. Anyway, thanks for this video, I really admire your work!
@@cyrollan Not necessarily better, I'd say they are quite different directors. Basically, what Leone did to the western genre is comparable to what Romero and Tarantino did to the zombie and crime movie respectively
Absolutely brilliant work chronicling the western works of the masterful auteur that was Sergio Leone. Another fine addition to this criminally underrated channel. I really hope more and more people get to appreciate the efforts you have put into making these video essays.
The Last movie you mentioned (in Italian: Giù la testa) is very much loved in Italy. My favorite Leone's movies are, in order: Once Upon a Time in America, The Good, the Bad and the Ugly, Once Upon a Time in the West.
I am glad that I have discovered your channel. This channel is extremely underrated.... As a cinephile, I am consuming way too many same content and good channel focusing on films are getting repetitive so, it's great to find a channel focusing on marker, bergman p.s just a suggestion, your channel will be even more popular if you cab tap into the works of masters like bunuel, rivette,mizuhuchi,ford,lang,powell,Renoir....an essay about their filmography will be great

Sergio Leone's Dollars trilogy told through Morricone's hypnotic music with Clint Eastwood's devilishly handsome looks was perfection.

He redefined cinema as a whole.. Not just westerns... Greatest filmmaker of all time
was he better than Kubrick? I'm being sincere. I'm new to Sergio Leone

Film intramontabili fatti ad opera d'arte
