Excellent conversion from the HW "57 Chevy" flamed series to your "Gasser Version". Keeping the original dark base paint as well as the HW flames was the master stroke indeed Keith. Seriously wicked car!!!

Very cool build. You're right about the paint and graphics on this one. Hot Wheels actually got one "right" for a change. Also really like the stance you have on it. Too often gassers are way too high in the front and look cartoonish. This one nailed it. Great gasser!!

7:38 Is that Lemmy in the background? Gosh... now I have to go and listen to *ACE OF SPADES!!!* LOL I like gassers over rail jobs... They have way more character! I remember the Revell classics like the 40's Willys and I think it was a 50's Anglia and that Little Red Wagon. Amt had some nice 3 in 1 kits that had dragster gassers as one of the options. Bringing back memories.

This Gasser turned out amazing Keith. Glad you didn't change the paint scheme on this one. I have two of these castings and I was wanting to make a gasser out of one but I don't have an engine for it yet. Still looking for that perfect motor to come along. Thanks for sharing another great video, take care and stay safe.

I mess with this stuff a bit in my free time (wheel swaps, etc.), but nothing like what you do.. I simply mess with some old testors paints and things I have from old 1/24 scales and what not.. I do however, have an old '57 casting (blue with yellow sides) with the metal cast engine sticking out of the hood that I have started to "Frankenstein" and make a sort of fantasy style hotwheels build.. Somewhat of an almost unrealistic exhaust cut out in the rockers/door area from one of the hotwheels "quarter mile coupes".. These videos are cool and enjoyable to watch, man.. Inspiration..

nice little quickie. I like the look. The stance is pretty on point for a drivable gasser. Which is my preference any way. The over the top tall boys are strip cars and built to put on a show. They drive like crap .

Keith, I have a question about that front end. Did you attach the axle tube to the chassis or the "leaf springs" you made from the brass tubeing? Its kinda hard to tell from the turntable shots...😕
Regardless, you made an aweaome gasser, love the wheels, the stance, the engine, and very smart keeping the paint job. Looks amazing! Keep on keeping on and stay safe!

  • @wadehendryx7378

Is there any chance of taking off the decal when you buff them out? It seems to me like there might be a danger of that.

    • @OutlawSpeedShop2001
