@@the_dropbear4392 after playing Genesis, Strife is really squishy, much like the way they made Fury in this game. They seem like more support/backline combatants as opposed to Death and War who charge at the frontlines.

Ok so I don’t Know if you played the first game, but basically there was Abbadon (the angel who became the destroyer) Azarl (angle of death) and Uathan ( the black hammer marker). Abbadon wanted to once and for all get rid of the demons and the demons races since he believes the charred council does nothing to actually do “good” . He came up with the plan that to only get way to get rid of the demons, he would start the Apocalypse early, so that when the war between, humans, angels, and demons began.that it would actually catch the demons off guard since they would have no time to prep for the war. Giving Abbadon an advantage and the upper hand. He had Convinced Azeral to break all 6 seals except for the 7th one. Since the 7th seal would summon the horsemen of the apocalypse, but he didn’t want the horsemen to get involved with the war. After breaking the seals, Uathan fixed all the 6 seals back together. Making it look like the seals where never broken to begin with. Breaking the seals tho, never the less started the apocalypse. Abbadon went into war with demons, but turns out, the demons knew about he’s plan and came to the apocalypse war prepared. During this time the charred council knew the seals where broken and knew that Abbadon and a few others where responsible for starting the war. But because the seals where fixed, the had no proof that Abbadon was the one that started it. Because of this, the charred Council wouldn’t summon the horsemen. Since they knew they wouldn’t go after or kill Abbadon with out “reason”.
Hopefully Darksiders 4 will have a little more answers. Don’t get me wrong Darksiders 3 is a great game, but lore wise I didn’t answer many questions, just asked more. I’m also wondering what happens with Fury now that she’s the protector of humanity, and what happened to Strife at the end of Darksiders 3. Loved his reveal tho
Death is resurrected by the breaking of the seventh seal, this is revealed both at the end of darksiders 1 (which timeline wise is the most recent) AND at the end of darksiders 2, so his fate is known, I do believe that 2 and 3 run almost parallel with each other, it is mentioned when the prince of darkness is talking to lilith in 3 that the charred council will send war to earth (as we know that is infact what happens) which leads me to believe that that action would be happening in the near future. Anyways i just wanted to point out that deaths fate is already well known 😋
@@Björnvar the ending of 3 takes place before the ending of 2, since the prince of darkness mentions his plan to use Corruption to destroy both angels and demons, which is what death prevents when he kills Absalom at the end of 2.

First time we see two horsemen who are actually the real horsemen on screen together, and I know someone will say “you fight war in darksiders 2” that’s not the real war it’s an illusion, however here it’s no illusion, that’s the real war, and the real fury
I mean technically you the three falling to earth together at the end of 1
And strife and fury at the end

Death looklike more Prince of Persia Style and Dante' s inferno crossplay, War is pretty sure inspirated in Warcraft Dark horseman, Fury' s character is more original that I see may be also Kratos god of war femine versión and Strife actually stilish with the famous Demon hunter Dante Devil may cry.
"The dream unfolds.."
her relationship with rampage is suprisingly wholesome.
I'm dying to play death again he's my favorite horsemen
Now I'm confused why people said War was the reckless one when he sounded so wise here 7:12
War was reckless until Death cut off his hand. When Fury said "I should have let War cut off my head" its a reference to what happened in the comics. War was in a blood rage in heaven I think(cant remember exactly) and Strife and Fury tried to stop him and War was basically winning and was going to kill Fury, but Death showed up stop him, War impaled Death and the Death being as OP ad he is didnt feel it and cut off his arm as punishment. War calmed down since then.
Anthony Roberts You missed the part where Fury locked his arm in place with her whip so Death could cut it otherwise War would have continued on his rampage until the three of them stopped him. War should beat Death in a fight even with how OP he is.

He doesn't know everything about what's going on, only the fact that he himself was innocent.

Bruh I don’t if ya gonna see this bit like I can tell ya everything that’s happening from beginning to end
I’ll keep going if you still wanna know more
War
Hopefully Darksiders 4 will have a little more answers. Don’t get me wrong Darksiders 3 is a great game, but lore wise I didn’t answer many questions, just asked more. Hopefully we’ll ACTUALLY get to see the 4 horseman reunite, or at least learn the fate of Death after Darksiders 2 and if War was freed after Darksiders 3.
Bhelliom ahhh I see I didn’t know breaking the seventh seal would have that kind of impact thanks
@@Björnvar the ending of 3 takes place before the ending of 2, since the prince of darkness mentions his plan to use Corruption to destroy both angels and demons, which is what death prevents when he kills Absalom at the end of 2.

As for pestilence and famine, while this is conceptually based of Christian style concepts of heaven and hell, it deviates rather dramatically in its world building. I mean we have the Makers in Darksiders. It is only loosely based on the traditional concept of the horsemen of the Apocalypse and honestly I guess they just felt that famine and pestilence wouldn't be as interesting for gameplay.
