- While BMW has been in the battery electric game for some time now, their i3 didn’t exactly catch on in big numbers. In order for the BMW faithful to buy in, it has to look and perform like a BMW, and if it’s an SUV, that will surely help too. BMW IX the Best
The blunt slab sided nose with that awful fake grill looks awful, and poor for efficiency and aeros. BMW used to be famed for subtle understated elegance. This car doesn't have a radiator so why the fake grill. Its a BEV, so style it like a BEV and make it more aerodynamically efficient.
MotorWeek is one of my favorite channels, and cars are one of my favorite hobbies, however the last three vids uploaded including this, I am forced to say that cars are getting ugly.
Come on manufacturers/designers, your ideas of 'future' isn't the future.
BMW, Mercedes’ and Audi, ONLY lease them for the length of the warranty. Soon after their warranty expires they break down and have costly repairs

Adrian vanHooydonk really needs to stop it and get some help. Now. Seriously. It's absolutely hideous, just like the rest of the recent BMW lineup. I've never seen any other company denying all of its characteristic design motifs that made its cars famous like BMW does. It's revolting.

But the new X1, X3, X5, new X7 (style works much better on this than the 7,i7), XM, Z4, 3, 5, 8 series all still look good. Though the 3 series looked better before the update 2023.

It looks like a Chevy suv except for the grille, so I'm gonna guess it's an Oldsmobile.
An Oldsmobile would have a reasonable price and a better interior.
12.9 -WOW NOT BAD
The exterior design is an....acquired taste, but thought the interior was quite nice. The ride is amazing, best riding SUV in my opinion. The ix50 is more than powerful enough with great range.
Looking at it you know it's an electric SAV from BMW...and that's not a bad thing seeing as I see a lot of X3 on the outside
Wow, thats a quick minivan!
Hear me out: it looks like a minivan in person. It's quite upright, has a cab-forward side profile, and the ground clearance is more sedan-like than SUV-like. Just add sliding rear doors and you got yourself a BMW minivan.

kind of.. electric range dictates aerodynamic design which excludes the X5 approach.. wonder how much range a fully electrified X5 with a 105 kW battery would get as range? I guess the tesla model X and Y also has a minivan look 😊

Next year this vehicle will have a much better range.
Perhaps it may consider being renamed as the iX5 should BMW consider more i-badged SUVs for the US and the world.
That was very impressive stability through that slalom test, considering the thing weighs 2.6 tons 3:42. But I still strongly dislike the looks though. I will be swapping my G05 X5 for a Mercedes EQS SUV instead. The EQS SUV is far much better looking and even more luxurious. BMW have lost me with their persistence with these weird, polarizing designs. Yes, looks matter very much to me. I'm shallow that way.

This direction in dash design completely away from guages and speedos is not appealing to me. one big flat screen instead of a dash? no thank you.
Design wise, BMW is already skipping forward to the 2050s.😂

Cool vehicle, won’t EVER buy German again due to unreliability. LOVE, LOVE, LOVE my new Genesis GV60 electric!!! ….plus I saved $40K over this, AND have a better warranty.

I absolutely love it. I haven’t driven one but will take each model for a spin when the weather is nicer but based on appearance, reviews and satisfaction this is my favorite EV outside a Plaid. I’m praying for a recession, a hardcore recession of a couple years. It would be nice to land a M60 for 20k off invoice bringing it down to 80k. Now that’s a pill I can swallow which likely won’t be in the cards but it’s definitely a possibility.
